Accurate identification of plant diseases is important for ensuring the safety of agricultural *** neural networks(CNNs)and visual transformers(VTs)can extract effective representations of images and have been widely used for the intelligent recognition of plant disease ***,CNNs have excellent local perception with poor global perception,and VTs have excellent global perception with poor local *** makes it difficult to further improve the performance of both CNNs and VTs on plant disease recognition *** this paper,we propose a local and global feature-aware dual-branch network,named LGNet,for the identification of plant *** specifically,we first design a dual-branch structure based on CNNs and VTs to extract the local and global ***,an adaptive feature fusion(AFF)module is designed to fuse the local and global features,thus driving the model to dynamically perceive the weights of different ***,we design a hierarchical mixed-scale unit-guided feature fusion(HMUFF)module to mine the key information in the features at different levels and fuse the differentiated information among them,thereby enhancing the model's multiscale perception ***,extensive experiments were conducted on the Al Challenger 2018 dataset and the self-collected corn disease(SCD)*** experimental results demonstrate that our proposed LGNet achieves state-of-the-art recognition performance on both the Al Challenger 2018 dataset and the SCD dataset,with accuracies of 88.74％and 99.08％,respectively.

In the field of natural language processing(NLP),the advancement of neural machine translation has paved the way for cross-lingual ***,most studies in NLP have evaluated the proposed language models on well-refined *** investigatewhether amachine translation approach is suitable for multilingual analysis of unrefined datasets,particularly,chat messages in *** order to address it,we collected the dataset,which included 7,066,854 and 3,365,569 chat messages from English and Korean streams,*** employed several machine learning classifiers and neural networks with two different types of embedding:word-sequence embedding and the final layer of a pre-trained language *** results of the employed models indicate that the accuracy difference between English,and English to Korean was relatively high,ranging from 3%to 12%.For Korean data(Korean,and Korean to English),it ranged from 0%to 2%.Therefore,the results imply that translation from a low-resource language(e.g.,Korean)into a high-resource language(e.g.,English)shows higher performance,in contrast to vice *** implications and limitations of the presented results are also *** instance,we suggest the feasibility of translation from resource-poor languages for using the tools of resource-rich languages in further analysis.

The agriculture industry significantly contributes to the nation's economy by employing a large segment of the population and enhancing the GDP. It is a primary source of livelihood for many people, particularly in rural areas. India's agricultural sector is known for its diversity, producing a wide range of crops including rice, wheat pulses, sugarcane, cotton, fruits, and vegetables. This industry faces a significant challenge in predicting crop yield production and crop demand accurately. Efforts have been made to address these challenges through various government initiatives such as subsidies and continued investment in agricultural research and development. The traditional methods of predicting crop yield and market demand is cumbersome and time consuming and is susceptible to errors, resulting in inefficient resource utilization and revenue losses. There is a need for predicting the most efficient crop based on various influential environmental markers and forecasting the profitability. This project aims to develop an intelligent platform that uses machine learning algorithms to estimate the crop for cultivation in each area based on environmental factors. The project also aims to forecast market demand and pricing trends for the identified crop with the aim of increasing the profitability for the farmers and other stakeholders in the agriculture industry. © 2024 IEEE.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a widespread neurolog-ical condition affecting millions globally. It gradually advances, leading to memory loss, cognitive deterioration, and a substantial decline in overall quality of life for those affected. AD patients experience memory decline, eroding cherished memories and straining relationships, while daily tasks become challenging. Numerous investigations have been conducted in this field, as the timely identification of Alzheimer's disease at its initial stage is of the utmost importance. A major limitation in this field is the predominant emphasis on using single fine-tuned CNN architecture or comparing pre-trained and custom CNN models for Alzheimer's detection, often on small datasets, which neglects a more comprehensive approach. Using smaller datasets can negatively impact deep learning modeling accuracy due to overfitting, limited representation, and poor generalization. This study addresses the current research problems and proposes an ensemble approach that combines predictions from various pre-trained models, including DenseNet-121, EfficientNet B7, ResNet-50, VGG-19, and also from a Custom CNN. The model averaging ensemble method was applied, a subset of the Stacking Ensemble, to two ADNI datasets, with dataset-I being the larger. The goal was to assess the efficacy of this ensemble approach for accurate multiclass classification on ADNI datasets, where it successfully identified all classes despite differing sample volumes. A vast experiment was conducted on two distinct and widely recognized real-world datasets, resulting in accuracies of 99.96% and 98.90% respectively. Finally, the outcome of the research compared with recent research findings demonstrates the potential of our approach in advancing Alzheimer's disease detection by outperforming other benchmark approaches by a significant margin. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper deals with the problem of distributed formation tracking control and obstacle avoidance of multivehicle systems(MVSs)in complex obstacle-laden *** MVS under consideration consists of a leader vehicle with an unknown control input and a group of follower vehicles,connected via a directed interaction topology,subject to simultaneous unknown heterogeneous nonlinearities and external *** central aim is to achieve effective and collisionfree formation tracking control for the nonlinear and uncertain MVS with obstacles encountered in formation maneuvering,while not demanding global information of the interaction *** this goal,a radial basis function neural network is used to model the unknown nonlinearity of vehicle dynamics in each vehicle and repulsive potentials are employed for obstacle ***,a scalable distributed adaptive formation tracking control protocol with a built-in obstacle avoidance mechanism is *** is proved that,with the proposed protocol,the resulting formation tracking errors are uniformly ultimately bounded and obstacle collision avoidance is *** simulation results are elaborated to substantiate the effectiveness and the promising collision avoidance performance of the proposed scalable adaptive formation control approach.

A natural interface for human–computer interaction is automatic speech emotion recognition, but it encounters challenges in handling non-emotional speech segments, especially silence, since it is non-emotional speech segmentation that requires recognition. Using a carefully designed attention model and a silence elimination approach, this paper proposes a novel method of enhancing emotion recognition performance by combining silence elimination with attention. In the present study, an enhanced Convolutional Neural Network architecture has been proposed, comprising of nine layers, utilizing a combination of convolutional 1D As a result of the research, CNNs have been employed in a revolutionary speech-emotion detection system that reaches an impressive 96.00% accuracy rate. There is great potential in this breakthrough to develop social robots and conversational robots capable of conveying nuanced human emotions. This breakthrough has marked a significant improvement in accuracy compared to prior models based on the same dataset. In addition to the broader classifications of positive, negative, and neutral emotions, the model's accuracy is evaluated across a wide range of emotion classes, such as anger, calmness, fear, happiness, and sadness for both genders. There is considerable evidence to suggest that combined noise cancellation and attention models are more effective than individual models of noise cancellation or attention. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Hepatitis C is the liver's festering that can lead to severe liver damage, usually caused by the hepatitis C virus. Hepatitis C has different stages. It is tough to cure in it's last stages;at the same time, it is expensive and painful process. The current research, however, is an alternative precaution to this issue. Hepatitis C can be predicted early by using multiple factors. The dataset related to hepatitis C was not publicly available. To overcome this challenge, the healthy and HCV effected samples were collected from different hospitals in Punjab. A questionnaire based survey was taken including different HCV related factor i.e. gender, weight loss, hives/ rashes, swelling, jaundice, drug addiction history, hepatic encephalopa-thy (drowsiness, slurred speech), Ascites (fluid buildup in belly/ abdomen), spider angiomas (Spiderlike blood vessels), shared syringe usage, medical history, and severeness. Different cleaning, scaling, and feature selection techniques were applied to collect the best feature data. After selection, various machine learning algorithms were applied. Random forest, KNN, Decision Tree, SVC, and MLP were used, but MLP yielded optimal results in all classification algorithms. We have gained 95.9 % accuracy when tested on unknown data based on the MLP model. As the predictions' results were satisfactory, it would be helpful for the people and act as a critical awareness. © 2023 IEEE.

In document-level event extraction tasks, multiple event types often coexist within a document (the multi-event problem), and arguments may play different roles across different events (the argument intertwining problem). Existing methods often suffer from significantly reduced event extraction accuracy, mainly when focusing on scenarios with scarce annotated data and imbalanced event-type distributions. This paper emphasizes enhancing the correlation between event triggers and arguments to address these challenges. Therefore, we propose the Relation-Augmented UIE Model (RADIE), which introduces entity relationships into prompts using prompt-based learning and designs a relation-augmentation algorithm to improve the accuracy and completeness of event extraction. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach significantly outperforms baseline methods, mainly showcasing excellent performance on datasets with long-tail distributions. © 2024 IEEE.

Bone cancer is a relatively rare and aggressive form of cancer that originates in the bones and the adjacent soft tissues;the disease is characterized by marked morbidity and mortality. Frequently, early detection is possible, and such medical conditions should be treated to enhance the result of the therapy. MRI is very useful in diagnosing bone cancer since they give clear images of bones and soft tissues. In this work, a new method of bone cancer detection from MRI images is presented with unsharp structure guided filtering for preprocessing and a CSwin transformer to extract features from the preprocessed images. This method further improves visualization and selection of MRI images by improving the representation of features in the image. The main part of the designed method is the Hybrid Quantum-Classical Convolutional Neural Network with War Strategy Optimization (HQCCNN-WSO), which combines the fundamentals of quantum computing and traditional neural networks to enhance the classification performance. Based on the parameters of the War Strategy Optimization algorithm, the model distinguishes between cancerous lesions and healthy bone tissue, and the parameters are further refined for improved performance. The suggested approach demonstrates remarkable accuracy and dependability in the identification of bone cancer, achieving over 99% across all performance criteria. © 2024 IEEE.
