This paper presents the way of implementation of transient modeling concepts which are fully analyzed in referred standards, for the purpose of evaluating the lightning performance of studied system caused by back-flashover. In this regard, the impact of several parameters on lightning behavior of the system has been studied. The focus of this paper is on the lightning study of “Siah-bishe” 400kV gas insulated substation (GIS) and practical application of the study to the insulation design of this substation as a substation with a distinctive arrangement of equipment. This practical application has been rarely done before. The study was carried out by modeling all pieces of equipment in EMTP-RV and careful consideration of different modeling guidelines and instructions described in available standards.

We propose a flat nonlinear placement algorithm FFTPL using fast Fourier transform for density equalization. The placement instance is modeled as an electrostatic system with the analogy of density cost to the potential energy. A well-defined Poisson's equation is proposed for gradient and cost computation. Our placer outperforms state-of-the-art placers with better solution quality and efficiency.

In this letter, we propose a non-photorealistic rendering method for generating moire picture-like images from photographs. The proposed method is performed in two steps. First, images with a staircasing effect are generated with a bilateral filter. Second, moire pattern images are generated with an improved bilateral filter. Balanced masked architecture brings poorsecurity guaranty. In this paper, we propose a maskedmultiplier which reduces path delay as compared to theexisting ones in the literature. The proposed maskedS-box has two level of area optimization. One is avoidingtransformation cost and other is using masked bits insharing mode. We explore security issues in the contextof first-order and second-order DPA attacks. We havedemonstrated that our approach indeed prevents the firstorder DPA attack of the Rijndael circuit implementedon FPGA. The proposed masked AES S-box is the mostcompact one (in terms of area and path delay) as well assecure in the context of first order DPA attack.

We propose a non-photorealistic rendering method for generating sand picture-like images from photographs. The proposed method is performed in two steps. First, images with flow patterns created from finger tracing are generated with an anisotropic filter. Second, sand-pattern images are generated with a new filter called "sand filter" which incorporates the idea of iris filters. The new filter has a characteristic emphasizing images including low contrast parts. Therefore, it is possible to generate images like sand picture drawings.

Recently, the number of people who suffer from a high level of stress has increased. Too much stress may cause various physical and/or mental disorders. Moreover, sleep disorders are increasing in modern society. The aim of our project is to develop a relaxation machine for reducing stress and inducing sleep by using a rocking vibration simulating a mother's embrace and rocking motion of her baby. First, we analyzed a mother's embrace and rocking motion using a 3D motion capture system, and we evaluated the sleep-inducing effect on adults by using an excitation apparatus simulating the mother's motions. We found from the experimental analysis that there are two types of motions, both consisting of linear motion and rotational motion. The effectiveness of the rocking motion for inducing sleep was verified from brain signal analysis.

In this paper, we investigate the performance of the dynamic allocation of resources between separate cellular networks. We propose a Dynamic Internetworking Carrier Aggregation (DI-CA) framework which involves every network operator releasing some of its exclusive, but excess, spectrum to another network operator for a limited time. We derive the basic condition for which DI-CA can improve the performance for all the operators and then propose a distributed scheduling framework that uses coalition formation with uncertainty, in which each independent operator can decide whether or not DI-CA can improve its performance without having information regarding channel conditions or load experienced by other operators. We propose a distributed Bayesian coalition formation algorithm to approach a neighborhood of the Bayesian Nash equilibrium.
