Numerous challenges persist in high energy physics(HEP), the addressing of which requires advancements in detection technology, computational methods, data analysis frameworks, and phenomenological designs. We provide a concise yet comprehensive overview of recent progress across these areas, in line with advances in quantum technology. We will discuss the potential of quantum devices in detecting subtle effects indicative of new physics BSM, the transformative role of quantum algorithms and large-scale quantum computers in studying real-time non-perturbative dynamics in the early universe and at colliders, as well as in analyzing complex HEP data. Additionally, we emphasize the importance of integrating quantum properties into HEP experiments to test quantum mechanics at unprecedented high-energy scales and search for hints of new physics. Looking ahead, the continued integration of resources to fully harness these evolving technologies will enhance our efforts to deepen our understanding of the fundamental laws of nature.

Traditional lithography techniques are currently facing challenges, including high costs and the susceptibility of mask plates to damage. This research aims to elucidate the feasibility and technical constraints of a novel diffraction lithography approach. This method can reduce the size and cost of lithography machines, break through existing technological barriers, and offer new possibilities for the future development of lithography machines. We have built a basic computational holographic lithography system utilizing a 405nm laser and validated the system using holograms obtained with both classical GS algorithm and a newly proposed method. With the GS holograms, patterns with 700nm features have been successfully exposed on the photoresist. With our new algorithms, multiple holograms for the same target pattern can be generated with different settings in the algorithm. Sequential exposure of those holograms resulted in continuous lines 500 nm wide with reduced speckle artifacts, which was about a 1.4-time improvement over the result from the GS algorithm. Future research will focus on optimizing and enhancing the experimental system and the hologram calculation methods to reduce the line widths further and improve the exposure pattern quality. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission measurements were taken on FeSe;S;(x=0,0.04,and 0.08)*** an ultrahigh energy resolution of 0.4 meV,unusual two hole bands near the Brillouin-zone center,which was possibly a result of additional symmetry breaking,were identified in all the sulfur-substituted *** addition,in both of the hole bands highly anisotropic superconducting gaps with resolution limited nodes were *** find that the larger superconducting gap on the outer hole band is reduced linearly to the nematic transition temperature while the gap on the inner hole is nearly S-substitution *** observations strongly suggest that the superconducting gap increases with enhanced nematicity although the superconducting transition temperature is not only governed by the pairing strength,demonstrating strong constraints on theories in the FeSe family.

Equivalent circuit models for fuel cell stacks as well as for the series connection of battery cells are characterized by multiple series-connected RC sub-networks. In practical applications, for example, when aiming at the aging detection and monitoring of the individual cells in a fuel cell stack, it is desired to estimate the individual state variables of each of these series-connected cells. The same holds true for battery management systems that are dedicated to the state of charge (resp., voltage) equalization in a series connection of multiple battery cells. However, the pure knowledge of the current through this series connection as well as the sum over all terminal voltages is insufficient to make the overall system model fully observable. To efficiently observe the state variables in each of the series-connected subsystems, we aim at avoiding the measurement of the voltages of each individual fuel (resp., battery) cell. Instead, this paper presents a systematic sensor switching strategy which allows for estimating the individual state variables of all series-connected subsystems in an Unscented Kalman Filter framework. Simulation results are presented to compare the achievable estimation accuracy with a scenario in which all cell (resp., terminal) voltages were measured simultaneously.

Rainfall plays a significant role in managing the water level in the *** unpredictable amount of rainfall due to the climate change can cause either overflow or dry in the *** individuals,especially those in the agricultural sector,rely on rain *** rainfall is challenging because of the changing nature of the *** area of Jimma in southwest Oromia,Ethiopia is the subject of this research,which aims to develop a rainfall forecasting *** estimate Jimma's daily rainfall,we propose a novel approach based on optimizing the parameters of long short-term memory(LSTM)using Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)optimization algorithm for boosting the fore-casting accuracy.N ash-Sutcliffe model eficiency(NSE),mean square error(MSE),root MSE(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),and R2 were all used in the conducted experiments to assess the proposed approach,with final scores of(0.61),(430.81),(19.12),and(11.09),***,we compared the proposed model to current machine-learning regression models;such as non-optimized LSTM,bidirectional LSTM(BiLSTM),gated recurrent unit(GRU),and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM).It was found that the proposed approach achieved the lowest RMSE of(19.12).In addition,the experimental results show that the proposed model has R-with a value outperforming the other models,which confirms the superiority of the proposed *** the other hand,a statistical analysis is performed to measure the significance and stability of the proposed approach and the recorded results proved the expected perfomance.

In terms of security and privacy,mobile ad-hoc network(MANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and *** more MANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the ***,MANET’s lack of infrastructure,unpredictable topology,and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes,contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole *** proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm,which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost MANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-MLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering *** is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor *** hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole *** the LEACH clustering phase,however,can also detect passive black-hole *** effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested *** diverse mobility situations,the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution ***,the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.

In medical practice, the precision of image segmentation is crucial for diagnosis and treatment evaluations. Specifically, in dentistry, accurate teeth segmentation from bite-wing images is important for automatic and objective evaluations of root canal treatments. This study introduces Swin-U2 Net, a model merging the nested dual UNet with residual U-block and Swin Transformers. It combines the local feature extraction capability of the former and the global attention and context understanding of the latter. It has been evaluated for tooth root segmentation using 500 bite-wing dental x-ray images obtained from a root canal treatment clinic. It achieved the best segmentation outcome in terms of Intersection over Union (IOU) and the third best result in terms of Dice Similarity Coefficient (DSC) with the second least amount of network parameters among six UNet-like models, thus it is effective and efficient. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper examines a new class of models, the common feature of which is the presence of a limited volume of information exchanges between players. It is shown that taking such restrictions into account allows one to significantly expand the class of situations that can be adequately described using the games in normal form. Possible ways of formalizing the concept of 'amount of information' are discussed, returning to the constructions by A.N. Kolmogorov. A new concept of the maximal guaranteed result is discussed. The application of the outlined ideas in the information theory of hierarchical systems is considered. © 2021 IEEE.
