The agricultural information system deals with massive amounts of data from heterogeneous sources. It helps the farmers gain accurate information by providing better insights. A significant issue in agricultural data is its unstructured form, which can be resolved through ontology - a novel framework known as AgriOntology is proposed to address this issue for the Agrovoc dataset. The data in the unstructured form is initially pre-processed through the Natural Language Processing approach to generate features for ontology construction. The BERT and Jaccard similarity are applied to establish a relationship between the features used to construct the Agri-Ontology. Post ontology construction, the BiGAN framework is used to analyze the performance. The performance of the constructed ontology is observed to have an accuracy of 94.64%, which is higher than the existing models. © 2025 IEEE.

Managing modern data centre operations is increasingly complex due to rising workloads and numerous interdependent components. Organizations that still rely on outdated, manual data management methods face a heightened risk of human error and struggle to adapt quickly to shifting demands. This inefficiency leads to excessive energy consumption and higher CO2 emissions in cloud data centres. To address these challenges, integrating advanced automation within Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) has become essential for IT industries, representing a significant step in the ongoing transformation of cloud computing. For data centres aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint, intelligent automation provides tangible benefits, including optimized resource allocation, dynamic workload balancing, and lower operational costs. As computing resources remain energy-intensive, the growing demand for AI and ML workloads is expected to surge by 160% by 2030 (Goldman Sachs). This heightened focus on energy efficiency has driven the need for advanced scheduling systems that reduce both carbon emissions and operational expenses. This study introduces a deployable cloud-based framework that incorporates real-time carbon intensity data into energy-intensive task scheduling. By utilizing AWS services, the proposed algorithm dynamically adjusts high-energy workloads based on regional carbon intensity fluctuations, using both historical and real-time analytics. This approach enables cloud service providers and enterprises to minimize environmental impact without sacrificing performance. Designed for seamless integration with existing cloud infrastructures—including AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure—this scalable solution utilizes Kubernetes-based scheduling and containerized workloads for intelligent resource management. Deep ensemble model for skin cancer classification with improved feature set

Early identification of skin cancer is mandatory to minimize the worldwide death rate as this disease is covering more than 30% of mortality rates in young and adults. Researchers are in the move of proposing advanced models for the accurate classification of skin disease. This paper introduces a novel skin cancer detection model under the stages of preprocessing, feature extraction, classification as well as segmentation. The given input is first preprocessed via Gaussian filtering. Subsequently, the Deep learning model termed as ‘U-net’ is used for the segmentation process. Afterward, the extraction of the feature set including features like Improved Center symmetric Local Binary Pattern (ICS-LBP), Local Gradient Pattern (LGP), Median binary pattern (MBP) is performed. Classification takes place using Deep Ensemble Model based on the extracted features, that includes BiGRU, Deep Maxout, and Improved Deep Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), respectively. Also, as the hyperparameter tuning of the classification model enhances the performance, this work introduces a new Hybrid Atom and Arithmetic Operation Algorithm (HAAOA) algorithm for tuning the optimal weights of the Bi-GRU (Bi-directional Gated Recurrent Unit) and Deep Maxout model. At last, the validation of the proposed work is performed through different performance measures by comparing it with different algorithms. Accordingly, accuracy of the adopted method at 90th learning percentage is 93.56%, which is (~) 82.63%, 85.15%, 84.98%, 83.66% and 83.42% better than AOA, ASO, BWO, BMO and DO, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

As cities expand, vehicles and congestion become more complex. Efficient vehicle-to-vehicle contact networks are needed for road safety and efficient traffic flow. Thus, Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks are needed to overcome all the issues. The Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is used in VANETs. However, this protocol has many challenges in urban settings due to high vehicle density, rapid topology changes, and non-line-of-sight conditions. This work improves AODV by integrating Quality of Service (QoS) metrics. The prioritizing factors such as overhead and end-to-end delay are used to create a more efficient protocol for urban traffic. The SUMO simulator is used for realistic traffic patterns and NS-2 for network analysis. An evaluation of the protocol against the classical AODV is done and important metrics for real-time communication are focused. The enhanced AODV showed marked improvements. It achieved lower overhead in route finding, an increase in the number of packets sent, and lower end-to-end delay. © 2025 IEEE.

Researchers have recently created several deep learning strategies for various tasks, and facial recognition has made remarkable progress in employing these techniques. Face recognition is a noncontact, nonobligatory, acceptable, and harmonious biometric recognition method with a promising national and social security future. The purpose of this paper is to improve the existing face recognition algorithm, investigate extensive data-driven face recognition methods, and propose a unique automated face recognition methodology based on generative adversarial networks (GANs) and the center symmetric multivariable local binary pattern (CS-MLBP). To begin, this paper employs the center symmetric multivariant local binary pattern (CS-MLBP) algorithm to extract the texture features of the face, addressing the issue that C2DPCA (column-based two-dimensional principle component analysis) does an excellent job of removing the global characteristics of the face but struggles to process the local features of the face under large samples. The extracted texture features are combined with the international features retrieved using C2DPCA to generate a multifeatured face. The proposed method, GAN-CS-MLBP, syndicates the power of GAN with the robustness of CS-MLBP, resulting in an accurate and efficient face recognition system. Deep learning algorithms, mainly neural networks, automatically extract discriminative properties from facial images. The learned features capture low-level information and high-level meanings, permitting the model to distinguish among dissimilar persons more successfully. To assess the proposed technique’s GAN-CS-MLBP performance, extensive experiments are performed on benchmark face recognition datasets such as LFW, YTF, and CASIA-WebFace. An imbalanced dataset often challenges machine learning, particularly classification methods. Underrepresented minority classes can result in biased and inaccurate models. The Synthetic Minority Over-Sampling Technique (SMOTE) was developed to address the problem of imbalanced data. Over time, several weaknesses of the SMOTE method have been identified in generating synthetic minority class data, such as overlapping, noise, and small disjuncts. However, these studies generally focus on only one of SMOTE’s weaknesses: noise or overlapping. Therefore, this study addresses both issues simultaneously by tackling noise and overlapping in SMOTE-generated data. This study proposes a combined approach of filtering, clustering, and distance modification to reduce noise and overlapping produced by SMOTE. Filtering removes minority class data (noise) located in majority class regions, with the k-nn method applied for filtering. The use of Noise Reduction (NR), which removes data that is considered noise before applying SMOTE, has a positive impact in overcoming data imbalance. Clustering establishes decision boundaries by partitioning data into clusters, allowing SMOTE with modified distance metrics to generate minority class data within each cluster. This SMOTE clustering and distance modification approach aims to minimize overlap in synthetic minority data that could introduce noise. The proposed method is called “NR-Clustering SMOTE,” which has several stages in balancing data: (1) filtering by removing minority classes close to majority classes (data noise) using the k-nn method;(2) clustering data using K-means aims to establish decision boundaries by partitioning data into several clusters;(3) applying SMOTE oversampling with Manhattan distance within each cluster. Discovering Social Media Influencers Using a Deep Regression Analysis

Highly influential users (IUs) play a vital role in disseminating information on online social networks (OSNs). Recognizing IUs is crucial for brand awareness, strategic marketing and consumer engagement. Researchers have developed the temporal influential model (TIM) and incremental logistic regression (ILLR) to find out the probability of a user being influential on Twitter. However, accurately identifying IUs requires considering multiple user and tweet attributes. This study proposes a model for predicting IUs by analyzing user and trend-based attributes from tweets, calculating a weighted associated influence (WAI) score for each user and enhancing IU prediction through user similarity, influence degree, and trustworthiness metrics. The goal is to combine the TIM with deep regression (TIM-DeepReg) to improve accuracy in predicting high IUs on OSNs while handling large amounts of data and attributes. The TIM-DeepReg model combines convolutional neural network (CNN) with regression to automatically learn user and tweet attributes and enhance IU prediction efficiency. Lastly, the experimental findings show that the TIM-DeepReg model surpasses other models in IU prediction for the Tariff, Service, and Punctuality topics of airline services on Twitter and Facebook, with 87.4%, 88.9%, and 88.8% of the most influential individuals predicted. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The pandemic creates a more complicated providence of medical assistance and diagnosis procedures. In the world, Covid-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS Cov-2), and plague are widely known pandemic disease desperations. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic tragedies, various medical diagnosis models and intelligent computing solutions are proposed for medical applications. In this era of computer-based medical environment, conventional clinical solutions are surpassed by many Machine Learning and Deep Learning-based COVID-19 diagnosis models. Anyhow, many existing models are developing lab-based diagnosis environments. Notably, the Gated Recurrent Unit-based Respiratory Data Analysis (GRU-RE), Intelligent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-based Covid Data Analysis (Thermal Images) (I-UVAC), and Convolutional Neural Network-based Computer Tomography Image Analysis (CNN-CT) are enriched with lightweight image data analysis techniques for obtaining mass pandemic data at real-time conditions. However, the existing models directly deal with bulk images (thermal data and respiratory data) to diagnose the symptoms of COVID-19. Against these works, the proposed spectacle thermal image data analysis model creates an easy and effective way of disease diagnosis deployment strategies. Particularly, the mass detection of disease symptoms needs a more lightweight equipment setup. In this proposed model, each patient's thermal data is collected via the spectacles of medical staff, and the data are analyzed with the help of a complex set of capsule network functions. Comparatively, the conventional capsule network functions are enriched in this proposed model using adequate sampling and data reduction solutions. In this way, the proposed model works effectively for mass thermal data diagnosis applications.
