Radiology tumour spotting is complicated and requires medical knowledge. Thus, a lack of doctors should not delay cancer detection programmes. Biomedical image processing software helps find brain tumours in MRI data. This study segmented and detected brain tumours using MRI sequence images. This process is complicated by the similarity of normal tissues and the wide range of tumour tissues in different patients. Brain tumour detection is the main goal. Brain tumour diagnosis requires precise tumour size and position. This paper presents a deep learning-based brain tumour MRI segmentation and classification method. We preprocessed the photos with the Gaussian blur filter and image enhancement tool. Binary thresholding segments. Morphological methods reveal traits. CNN will assess brain MRI regularity. This study uses the Kaggle Dataset. We train with 255 brain MRIs, 155 with tumours and 98 normal, and achieve 97% accuracy. We test the model using Kaggle brain MR datasets. Brain tumour detection, segmentation, and categorization;medical image processing. SMS continues to be an indispensable component of contemporary digital communication. Because it is so widely available, cost-effective, reliable, and delivers information instantly. Its versatility enables its utilization for real-time chats, alerts, and verification purposes. Nevertheless, the ubiquitous nature of SMS renders it an easy prey for smishing, a deceitful form of cyberattack. Cybercriminals exploit the trust associated with SMS messages to deceive recipients. Smishing, an increasingly prevalent deceptive SMS fraud, poses a threat to both businesses and individuals. These messages include websites or phone numbers and purport to be from banks, governmental bodies, or well-known businesses. These misleading text messages lure their users into disclosing private information or clicking on links that could be harmful in many ways. Early detection of such malicious messages prevents users from falling victim to them. Various techniques were presented by researchers to accurately detect smishing attacks. Machine learning models exhibit great potential as a strategy to counter the increasingly dangerous SMS phishing attacks. Machine learning models can discern legitimate from fraudulent SMS messages by analyzing datasets. This paper introduces a novel method (SMS-SHIELD), which combines Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques to enhance smishing detection. This approach yields outstanding results, with random forest and extreme gradient boosting algorithms achieving remarkable accuracy rates of 99.05% and 98.03%, coupled with impressive F1-scores of 98.95% and 97.86%, respectively. © 2024 IEEE.

Despite significant advancements, lung cancer remains a formidable global health challenge, necessitating effective diagnostic and prognostic methodologies. This survey paper examines current literature to identify and evaluate methods and models utilized for lung cancer diagnosis and prognosis, aiming to enhance early detection strategies for improved patient outcomes. The research addresses critical questions: What are the current methods and models employed for lung cancer diagnosis and prognosis, their strengths, limitations, and potential for future improvement? It investigates specific applications of deep learning architectures such as CNN, GoogleNet, VGG-16, U-Net, and machine learning algorithms like XGBoost, SVM, KNN, ANN, Random Forest, and hybrid models in lung cancer detection. Methodologically, a systematic review across key databases using relevant keywords was conducted to synthesize findings. The study highlights the strengths and limitations of existing approaches and identifies gaps in model interpretability, real-world validation, and integration of diverse techniques. Conclusions underscore the transformative potential of advanced computational methods in enhancing lung cancer diagnosis and prognosis, proposing avenues for future research to address current challenges and improve patient care. © 2024 IEEE.

Recently,a Schwarz crystal structure with curved grain boundaries(GBs)constrained by twin-boundary(TB)networks was discovered in nanocrystalline Cu through experiments and atomistic *** Cu with nanosized Schwarz crystals exhibited high strength and excellent thermal ***,the grainsize effect and associated deformation mechanisms of Schwarz nanocrystals remain ***,we performed large-scale atomistic simulations to investigate the deformation behaviors and grain-size effect of nanocrystalline Cu with Schwarz *** simulations showed that similar to regular nanocrystals,Schwarz nanocrystals exhibit a strengthening-softening transition with decreasing grain *** critical grain size in Schwarz nanocrystals is smaller than that in regular nanocrystals,leading to a maximum strength higher than that of regular *** simulations revealed that the softening in Schwarz nanocrystals mainly originates from TB migration(or detwinning)and annihilation of GBs,rather than GB-mediated processes(including GB migration,sliding and diffusion)dominating the softening in regular *** analyses of simulation data further showed that compared with those in regular nanocrystals,the GB-mediated processes in Schwarz nanocrystals are suppressed,which is related to the low volume fraction of amorphous-like GBs and constraints of TB *** smaller critical grain size arises from the suppression of GB-mediated processes.

Recent developments in the area of research on sign language recognition have led to making use of deep learning techniques with the goal to assist the self-learning transition of sign language from one language to another. In order to detect and classify characters from photographs in multiple sign languages, a number of deep-learning models, have been deployed. SLR is a prominent area of study and technology that aims to mitigate speaking barriers for individuals who unable to talk and listen. This involves the development of tools capable of understanding and deciphering sign language movements, hence facilitating a wider range of interactions for those who are difficult of listening and speaking. This paper demonstrates a novel model called CNN Inception Net, which is a neural network based on convolution. The use of an Indian sign dataset enables the achievement of a notable performance rate of 98.9%, enabling precise recognition of actions in the language of signs. © 2024 IEEE.

Oil spills represent a major environmental threat, particularly in marine ecosystems. Timely detection and segmentation of oil spills from satellite imagery is crucial for directing rapid response and remediation *** research concludes with an insights by developing a deep learning approach for automated detection and segmentation of oil spills from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) *** research implements and compares three algorithms PSPNET,DeepLapV3 and fully convolutional networks (FCN) with U-Net for semantic segmentation of SAR *** the networks are trained on a dataset of SAR images with pixel-wise labels indicating oil spill regions. This research also evaluates the segmentation performance using common metrics like intersection-over-union (IoU) and pixel-wise accuracy. Our results indicate that both FCN and U-Net can effectively detect and delineate oil spill regions, with U-Net demonstrating slightly higher IoU scores and with and accuracy of 95%. The deep learning models generalize well to unseen SAR images. Overall, this work demonstrates the feasibility of deep convolutional neural networks for automated analysis of SAR imagery to enable rapid oil spill response at marine environment. © 2024 IEEE.

Autonomous drones and deep learning neural networks are becoming popular tools to revolutionize aircraft operations by partially automating visual inspection processes in aircraft maintenance. The research aims to provide a trustworthy method for locating and classifying surface flaws on aircraft, such as dents, fractures, corrosion, and a few other anomalies. To assess the model performance with and without a lightweight network integration, the implementation merges YOLOv8 and Mobile Net architectures, using dropout regularization and data augmentation approaches. To guarantee the model's performance in low-light situations, the dataset has been carefully selected to contain images replicating such settings. Annotation, environment setup, model training, and online dataset scraping are all covered by the thorough technique. A web-scraped dataset is used to train and validate two popular semantic segmentation algorithms, YOLOv8 and Mobile Net, which show enough performance for segmenting and grading aircraft surface problems in practical settings. The results show that precision and recall values are improved using a hybrid technique that ensembles trained Mobile Net and YOLOv8 models. Using COCO metrics, in the proposed approach an assessment of Ensemble WBF, Mobile Net-YOLO, and YOLOv8 outcomes on test and validation sets, guaranteed reliable object recognition and classification abilities. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Covid-19 is a transmissible infection identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 where more than million people were killed. When the contamination enters body, it contacts the mucous film that lies in your mouth, eyes, and nose. The virus entering a cell makes new disease parts making use of the cell and spreads infections by attacking nearest cells. Signs could begin one to fourteen days subsequent to presenting to the infection. Majority of them suffer with pneumonia, while a few suffer with extreme side effects like shortness of breath, headache, and fast heartbeat. Medical practitioners can see indications of respiratory infections on a chest X-ray. So, to detect if a person is suffering with Covid-19, the chest images help in the early analysis and the treatment of the patient. This study utilizes multiple datasets containing images of chest X-ray and makes use of preprocessing techniques like image augmentation, resizing, Contrast-Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) and trained using Deep learning algorithms like CNN, VGG-16, VGG-19, and AlexNet. CNN model with a maximum pooling layer and a flatten layer outperformed other algorithms when trained on image augmentation and normalization images and achieved accuracy of 0.98. Finally, integrating the best suitable model with web applications like Flask helps to reduce the burden on doctors and minimize the human error in Covid-19 detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
