data security is becoming increasingly important as cloud computing advances. data security is the fundamental problem of all distributed computing systems. Cloud computing enables access to distributed applications and services belonging to various organizations spread across different locations. Cloud computing raises security concerns, because it shares data with distributed users via network in an open terrain. In this system, some of the most important security services like image-based security are handled by the cloud computing system. The proposed scheme takes care of several attacks like botnets, malware and guessing attacks. This scheme is contrasted withseveral established schemesand a new form of authentication is used for the purpose of storing files in a secure manner. © 2024 IEEE.

A uniform experimental design(UED)is an extremely used powerful and efficient methodology for designing experiments with high-dimensional inputs,limited resources and unknown underlying models.A UED enjoys the following two significant advantages:(i)It is a robust design,since it does not require to specify a model before experimenters conduct their experiments;and(ii)it provides uniformly scatter design points in the experimental domain,thus it gives a good representation of this domain with fewer experimental trials(runs).Many real-life experiments involve hundreds or thousands of active factors and thus large UEDs are *** large UEDs using the existing techniques is an NP-hard problem,an extremely time-consuming heuristic search process and a satisfactory result is not *** paper presents a new effective and easy technique,adjusted Gray map technique(AGMT),for constructing(nearly)UEDs with large numbers of four-level factors and runs by converting designs with s two-level factors and n runs to(nearly)UEDs with 2^(t−1)s four-level factors and 2tn runs for any t≥0 using two simple transformation *** justifications for the uniformity of the resulting four-level designs are given,which provide some necessary and/or sufficient conditions for obtaining(nearly)uniform four-level *** results show that the AGMT is much easier and better than the existing widely used techniques and it can be effectively used to simply generate new recommended large(nearly)UEDs with four-level factors.

As software innovation has advanced, it has been noted that the testing effort function (TEF) is one of the key factors influencing the improvement of software reliability. This paper presents a simplified model which incorporates the testing effort for the reliability growth of a software. A closed form solution has been derived for the reliability of the software. This study examines the impact of testing efforts on a software reliability model based on NHPP. The sensitivity analysis has been made available to investigate how the created model's system parameters affect the cost function, mean value function, and software’s reliability. The parameters of the model have been estimated using the non-linear least square estimation (MLE) method in MATLAB software. Additionally, a warranty cost model is constructed to assess the optimal release policy for the software. The general form of the reliability expression involves elliptic integrals, which can be computed easily through a software like Mathematica. We have derived analytical solutions for reliability pertaining to several particular cases. Optimal release time for the software product has been calculated for some particular cost-sets. Goodness of fit curves have been plotted to compare the proposed model with some well-known existing SRGMs. Numerical illustrations are provided to bolster the analytical outcomes. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Society for Reliability and Safety (SRESA) 2024.

This work investigates using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and VGGNet architecture, for realtime emotion detection. Raw data from the FER-2013 dataset is transformed from CSV format into organized image directories, segmented by distinct emotions. The resulting model, equipped with convolutional, pooling, and dense layers, effectively classifies emotions from 48x48 grayscale images. In application, the model overlays detected emotions onto a webcam stream. An integrated music player module synchronizes music with the subject's emotions. Overall, this research explores a comprehensive interactive system focused on recognizing and responding to human emotions. Without further training data, our model, to the best of our understanding, achieves modern single-network accuracy of 74.57% on FER2013 © 2024 IEEE.

American Sign Language (ASL) recognition aims to recognize hand gestures, and it is a crucial solution to communicating between the deaf community and hearing people. However, existing sign language recognition algorithms still have some drawbacks, such as difficulty recognizing hand movements and low recognition accuracy for most sign language recognition. A Modified Convolutional Neural Network (MCNN) deep residual 101 classifier-based American Sign Language identification system has been developed to address this problem. There are three main parts presents in the method. The first part is pre-processing the images to remove the noise, enhance the contrast of the picture, adjust the contrast level and smoothen the picture using various filters. The second part is the segmentation, and it’s used to partition the image using a modified canny edge detection method by removing all weak edges present in the image. Finally, classification will be done using the Modified CNN deep residual 101 classifiers. By classifying the image, the American Sign Language is accurately identified. This process is conducted through images. The outcome shows that the suggested approach has a 0.97% accuracy and a 0.05% False Positive Rate. Other CNN architectures such as resNet 50 and resNet 18 reached 0.90% and 0.80% accuracy, respectively, which is lower than our proposed method. In addition, the resNet 101 classifier effectively recognizes the difficult hand gestures through the image data. It obtains high recognition accuracy for 36 signs is 0 to 9 numbers and a to z alphabets from American Sign Language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

An image-based fire detection system is designed using an image dataset to train the model, and further, any image capturing device will be used for later prediction purposes. The training and prediction are done using deep learning techniques. Convolution Neural Network is used for implementation. As another fire identification innovation, picture fire location has as of late assumed a pivotal part in diminishing property misfortune and harm during a fire by disturbing clients at a beginning phase through early fire discovery. Picture fire location depends on an algorithmic investigation of pictures. Nonetheless, there is a lower precision, postponed recognition, and much calculation in like manner identification calculations, including physically and machine naturally separating picture highlights. The model is designed to alert the user via SMS and email along with a captured image of fire when a fire occurs. The proposed system in development aims at providing a detection system that can alert a user instantly at the time of a hazardous fire. The aim is to create an accurate model that does not result in false alerts. The model is trained using accurate image datasets to differentiate between a fire and a non-fire scenario. Existing models used the RGB-HIS colour space for their model. Particularly, it is used to obtain pre-detected areas rather than the traditional motion differential method. The centroid variety of candidates is used to measure the flame colour dispersions in subsequent frames. Multi-expert systems have the following;dispersion of colour and centroid movement are entrenched to classify fire based on testing various clips acquired by a surveillance camera in private confinement. © 2022 IEEE.

This work proposes a new approach to convert the data from sign language to spoken language without exposing the data to a gloss layer. Whenever gloss annotations are used which frequently are incomplete and act as an intermediate representation, it is usually found to be a bottleneck in translating sign language videos. In order to avoid this, the authors use a combination of modern machine learning algorithms to arrive at the conclusion. They use Dino-V2 Vision Transformer to implement the function of extracting the spatial features of the input sign language video frames. This model is particularly suitable for learning and visual patterns in general and particularly for capturing fine details of these patterns. Further, a spatio-temporal transformer layer is added to automate the temporal processing of the Sign-Language which helps in the arrangement of the body gestures and limb movements needed at a specific temporal frame. It is then translated into the desired spoken language using a multilingual Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) model. The approach can be said to be a big leap forward in sign language transliteration especially for such situations where few Gloss annotations are available, and making way for better and improved tools for the Deaf and the hard-of-hearing. © 2024 IEEE.

Cross-domain Named Entity Recognition (CDNER) is crucial for Knowledge Graph (KG) construction and natural language processing (NLP), enabling learning from source to target domains with limited data. Previous studies often rely on manually collected entity-relevant sentences from the web or attempt to bridge the gap between tokens and entity labels across domains. These approaches are time-consuming and inefficient, as these data are often weakly correlated with the target task and require extensive pre-training. To address these issues, we propose automatically generating task-oriented knowledge (GTOK) using large language models (LLMs), focusing on the reasoning process of entity extraction. Then, we employ task-oriented pre-training (TOPT) to facilitate domain adaptation. Additionally, current cross-domain NER methods often lack explicit explanations for their effectiveness. Therefore, we introduce the concept of information density to better evaluate the model's effectiveness before performing entity recognition. We conduct systematic experiments and analyses to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach and the validity of using information density for model evaluation. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

In the realm of music AI, arranging rich and structured multi-track accompaniments from a simple lead sheet presents significant challenges. Such challenges include maintaining track cohesion, ensuring long-term coherence, and optimizing computational efficiency. In this paper, we introduce a novel system that leverages prior modelling over disentangled style factors to address these challenges. Our method presents a two-stage process: initially, a piano arrangement is derived from the lead sheet by retrieving piano texture styles;subsequently, a multi-track orchestration is generated by infusing orchestral function styles into the piano arrangement. Our key design is the use of vector quantization and a unique multi-stream Transformer to model the long-term flow of the orchestration style, which enables flexible, controllable, and structured music generation. Experiments show that by factorizing the arrangement task into interpretable sub-stages, our approach enhances generative capacity while improving efficiency. Additionally, our system supports a variety of music genres and provides style control at different composition hierarchies. We further show that our system achieves superior coherence, structure, and overall arrangement quality compared to existing baselines. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation. In document-level event extraction tasks, multiple event types often coexist within a document (the multi-event problem), and arguments may play different roles across different events (the argument intertwining problem). Existing methods often suffer from significantly reduced event extraction accuracy, mainly when focusing on scenarios with scarce annotated data and imbalanced event-type distributions. This paper emphasizes enhancing the correlation between event triggers and arguments to address these challenges. Therefore, we propose the Relation-Augmented UIE Model (RADIE), which introduces entity relationships into prompts using prompt-based learning and designs a relation-augmentation algorithm to improve the accuracy and completeness of event extraction. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach significantly outperforms baseline methods, mainly showcasing excellent performance on datasets with long-tail distributions. © 2024 IEEE.
