Blockchain being a decentralised, distributed ledger, has attracted industries to implement the solutions on blockchain. The transactions are agreed in a deterministic manner because of the availability of consensus algorithms. The state of the machine is concluded based on the agreement generated by the consensus algorithm. The performance of the blockchain system can be increased to the order of magnitude when the right consensus is used. In this paper, the limitations and performance of various consensus algorithms have been reviewed along with the characteristics of the same. In addition to that, this paper compares the consensus algorithms based on various parameters such as speed, double-spending, 51% attack and many more. © 2023 IEEE.

Machine learning (ML) models have been used in functional neuroimaging for wide-ranging tasks, ranging from disease diagnosis to disease prognosis. There have been successive functional connectivity-based ML studies focused on improving model performances for disease detection. An increasing number of such studies use their trained models to detect and evaluate salient features that could be potential biomarkers of these neuro-logical conditions. The evaluation of these salient features is often qualitative and limited to cross-referencing existing literature for similar findings. In this study, we present objective quantitative metrics to evaluate the robustness of these salient features. Building upon existing generic evaluation metrics, we propose metrics that capture topological properties known to be characteristic of brain functional connectomes. Using existing and newly proposed measures on a set of baselines and state-of-the-art graph neural networks (GNN) models, we found that when GNNExplainer is used with models that incorporate attention, the scores produced are relatively more robust than other combinations. On datasets of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), our proposed metrics highlighted that salient features identified in both disorders are highly involved in functional specialization, while salient ASD features expressed stronger functional integration than ADHD. We package these existing and novel metrics together in the RE-CONFIRM framework that holds promise to set the foundations for the quantitative evaluation of salient features detected by future studies. © 2024 IEEE.

The usage of machine learning and deep learning algorithms have necessitated Artificial Intelligence'. AI is aimed at automating things by limiting human interference. It is widely used in IT, healthcare, finance, and agriculture. It is achieved through several deep learning algorithms that reflect the human brain's intelligence. These AI algorithms can be manipulated according to changing needs and improved efficiency. This paper tries to utilize the developments made in AI technology to classify the images and recognize the objects present in them. One widely used AI algorithm is CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks). The CNN is a deep learning-based algorithm that consists of various layers that extract and filters the parameters present in the images. Some additional layers of ResNet50 and the CNN algorithm are used to extract the parameters to improve image recognition accuracy. The image dataset taken for training and testing the proposed model is imageNet. The images are initially processed before sending them to the proposed model. The proposed model is trained, validated, and tested through the images obtained after the initial processing. The same process is repeated several times until getting the maximum accuracy. The accuracy of the proposed model in terms of image recognition is recorded. The obtained results are compared with other image classification algorithms like VGG16 and VGG19. Depression remains a primary cause of disability worldwide and contributes significantly to the global health burden. It can typically lead to suicidal ideation and have a negative impact on anyone's professional and personal life. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning techniques can forecast depression in a timely manner utilizing a variety of resources. Different kinds of sources, such as surveys, social networking sites, video images, and speech, can be used to accurately identify depression without the assistance of a psychiatrist. People on social networking sites express their feelings through appropriate text, which may be examined using machine learning algorithms. Through visual and speech data, deep learning approaches properly provide remarkable accuracy in predicting depression. This survey study is useful in identifying depression accuracy in advanced ways utilizing diverse resources. © 2023 IEEE.

Medical imaging is capturing pictures of bodily components for diagnostic or research reasons. Because of advancements in image-handling techniques, which include picture recognition, examination, and upgrading, clinical imaging is expanding swiftly. Picture division is a vital subject in picture handling and PC vision with applications, for example, scene grasping, clinical picture examination, mechanical discernment, video observation, expanded reality, and picture pressure, among numerous others. Numerous picture segmentation methods have been created and are available in the literature. There has been a lot of work done to develop techniques for segmenting pictures using deep-learning models since they have proved effective in various vision applications. Deep learning has turned into a functioning exploration point in the field of clinical picture examination. Compared to the laborious and lengthy conventional technique, deep learning (DL) automatic detection algorithms can speed up diagnostics, increase test accuracy, lower expenses, and lessen the workload on the radiologist. Kidney segmentation is an integral part of any non-intrusive computer-assisted diagnostic (CAD) system for rapidly recognising severe renal repudiation because of the intensity of inhomogeneity brought on by errors in the image capture process, efficient kidney segmentation is challenging in evaluating and therapeutic planning of kidney-related disorders. This article addresses recent developments in DL-based kidney tumor segmentation systems. We highlight their fundamental components and numerous approaches as we discuss the main medical image kinds, segmentation methods, and evaluation standards for segmentation outcomes in kidney tumor++ segmentation. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents a gesture-based RockPaper-Scissors game that leverages computer vision and hand gesture recognition to enable intuitive human-computer interaction. Utilizing MediaPipe's pre-trained hand tracking module, the system detects and identifies 21 hand landmarks in real-time to classify gestures as rock, paper or scissors based on angular relationships between key points. OpenCV is used for webcam integration and video frame preprocessing, ensuring seamless interaction. The game compares the recognized gesture with a computer-generated move, dynamically displaying the results and resetting after each round for continuous play. The system identifies gestures through precise angle calculations, differentiating between closed fists, open palms and extended fingers. Sample outputs demonstrate real-time gameplay scenarios, highlighting gesture recognition accuracy and user engagement. Future enhancements include refining recognition accuracy, adding multiplayer functionality, introducing customizable gestures, and deploying the game on web and mobile platforms for broader accessibility. This project showcases the potential of integrating AI and computer vision in creating engaging and user-friendly applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Skin cancer is a predominant and possibly lethal condition that distresses people across the world. Primary detection and precise finding are crucial for leveraging efficacious treatment and enhanced patient consequences. This research study explores the application off Artificial Intelligence (AI) resolutions for the primary finding and analysis of skin cancer. The study leverages a dataset of dermatological images and employs various ML methods, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Support Vector Machines (SVMs), and decision trees, to analyse the existence of skin cancer with a higher degree of accuracy. By utilizing a combination of image processing and feature extraction, the AI model demonstrates higher performance in classifying skin lesions into malignant or benign categories. The proposed model has achieved an accuracy rate of 98.52%, making the AI-based system a promising tool for dermatologists and healthcare professionals. © 2024 IEEE.

Financial fraud presents substantial risks to individuals and financial institutions globally, necessitating efficient detection mechanisms to mitigate probable fatalities. In this study, the development and evaluation of machine learning (ML) models for detecting fraudulent activities in mobile money transactions are investigated. Using a synthetic dataset, realworld transaction scenarios involving a variety of transaction kinds and features are simulated. The effectiveness of many machine learning (ML) methods, such as LGBM, random forests, XGBoost, and logistic regression, in spotting fraudulent transactions is investigated through data preparation, feature engineering, and model-building procedures. Employing techniques such as SMOTE-Tomek resampling and hyperparameter tuning enhances the performance and robustness of our models. Our results reveal that the XGBoost classifier emerges as the top-performing model, exhibiting a remarkable accuracy of 99.95%. The findings underscore the potential of MLbased approaches to bolster security and trust in mobile financial services, contributing to the ongoing advancement of fraud detection methodologies in the financial sector. © 2024 IEEE.

This research introduces an innovative Sign Language to Speech Conversion Model using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to address communication barriers for the people who are deaf and unable to hear properly. The model employs deep learning for the automatic extraction of spatial patterns from sign language images. A diverse sign language dataset is carefully curated, undergoing Pre-processing for improved quality. The number of cases of violence and fights has been increasing around the world. With the use of CCTV, such incidents can be recorded but the detection of Violence is a major issue around the globe, and it plays a vital role in the safety and security of the area. It helps in effective surveillance and law enforcement. The effectiveness of any violence detection system depends on the speed and accuracy with which it detects the events and how it performs over different types of videos of varied sizes and formats. In the proposed algorithm, the dataset used contains videos of different types and scenarios to help the model understand and train better. To improve the overall effectiveness of the model, Lightweight CNN MobileNetV2 has been used along with that Bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM) has been used. The accuracy rate of the proposed model is 98%. © 2024 IEEE.
