The study comprehensively analysed public sentiment towards ChatGPT, a language processing AI tool, using approximately 135,000 tweets from an initial dataset of 236,275 entries. After cleaning and pre-processing the data using basic NLP techniques, Machine Learning (ML) models - Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Decision Tree (DT), and Support Vector Machine (SVM) - were applied to classify the tweets into positive, negative, and neutral categories. The LSTM model demonstrated superior performance across all evaluation metrics - accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score - for all tweet categories. Word clouds generated for each category revealed that the most frequent words in positive tweets included 'student,' 'education,' 'research,' and 'teacher,' indicating a strong association of ChatGPT with educational and research contexts. Similarly, 'AI,' 'student,' 'research,' 'course,' and 'education' dominated neutral and negative tweets, highlighting prevalent discussion topics. However, the study had limitations, including dependency on a single dataset, potential loss of contextual information during pre-processing, and a focus on English tweets only. Despite these limitations, the study provides valuable insights into the public's perception of ChatGPT, underscoring its significant association with education and research and the effectiveness of the LSTM model in classifying tweets. The findings suggest that future research should incorporate diverse data sources and languages better to understand global sentiment towards ChatGPT and similar AI tools. © 2023 IEEE.

Over 850,000 people die every year as a direct result of gun violence, yet civilians hold more than 85% of the world's weapons. Detecting weapons via manual surveillance has not been successful. It is critical to automate a system that detects weapons. A large number of convolution neural network CNN-based automated weapon identification systems have shown promising results. These methods are crucial for weapon identification but expensive. These devices produce a large amount of false negatives since monitoring videos are not high enough quality or visible enough to identify weapons. Finding the sweet spot between fast detection and a few false positives and negatives in weapon detection is the main goal of this research. In addition to defining an Area of Interest, the suggested structure uses YOLO. The models use previously processed images with backgrounds that have been blurred using a median filter. Metrics such as F1 scores, accuracy, recall, False Positive, and False Negative will be used to assess the suggested architecture. This investigation shows that YOLO-v5 can quickly identify and has a high recall rate. The deep convolution neural network DCNN required 0.17 ms for each frame, but this one only required 0.010 ms, which would indicate that security and weapon detection have good promise. Starting with a labeled collection of weapon and non-weapon photos is the initial stage in DCNN and YOLOv5 weapon detection. Use YOLOv5's ability to recognize multiple things within frames to train a real-time object localization and identification model. DCNNs categorize weapons and extract complex data effectively. DCNN classifies objects, whereas YOLOv5 detects, bounds, and tracks them. Optimize both models' hyperparameters and apply data augmentation for better performance. Install the integrated system on cutting-edge equipment for real-time weapon identification and classification. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents a tool relying on data service architecture, where technical details of all VBS datasets are completely hidden behind an abstract stateless data layer. The data services allow independent development of interactive search interfaces and refinement techniques, which is demonstrated by a smart front-end component. The component supports common search features and allows users to exploit content-based statistics for effective filtering. We believe that video data services might be a valuable addition to the open-source VBS toolkit, especially when available for the competition on a shared server with all VBS datasets, extracted features, and meta-data behind. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

Cloud computing is providing IT services to its customer based on Service level agreements(SLAs).It is important for cloud service providers to provide reliable Quality of service(QoS)and to maintain SLAs *** service providers need to predict possible service violations before the emergence of an issue to perform remedial actions for *** users’major concerns;the factors for service reliability are based on response time,accessibility,availability,and *** this paper,we,therefore,experiment with the parallel mutant-Particle swarm optimization(PSO)for the detection and predictions of QoS violations in terms of response time,speed,accessibility,and *** paper also compares Simple-PSO and Parallel *** simulation results,it is observed that the proposed Parallel MutantPSO solution for cloud QoS violation prediction achieves 94%accuracy which is many accurate results and is computationally the fastest technique in comparison of conventional PSO technique.

Facial expressions are the most effective way to characterize people's motives, emotions, and feelings. Several new methods are proposed each year;however, the accuracy of facial expression recognition still needs to be improved especially in uncontrolled conditions. In this paper, we propose a hybrid facial expression model that considers both texture and orientation features to classify expressions. Two types of descriptors namely Local binary pattern and Weber local descriptor are used to preserve the local intensity information and orientation of edges. In the next step, computing the Histograms of oriented gradients (HOG) features from the Local binary pattern and Weber local descriptor images to capture micro-expressions. Then, the AdaBoost feature selection algorithm is utilized to choose the best features from the combined HOG features. The results of the experiments demonstrate that the method proposed in this study performs better than existing methods. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rising competition among pharmaceutical companies, the current drug supply chain market has become more competitive with high-quality product segments. The rapid growth of internet pharmacies has made it more difficult to standardize drug safety throughout in complex distributed supply chain networks. There is a high chance of introducing counterfeit drugs which are almost the same as the original pharmaceuticals. Due to the lack of transparency the possibility of tampering with drugs in the current manual and web-based pharmaceutical systems is extremely high. Throughout the past recent years, these counterfeit drugs were recognized as the one of major worldwide problems. This situation is worse in developing countries. The unavailability of verifying the legitimacy of drug suppliers and poor mechanisms to trace the drugs were identified as critical points that need to be resolved. SUPPLYDECK comes as a solution for the critical scenario mentioned. This solution addresses the above problems using blockchain technology, as a distributed digital ledger that ensures transparency, traceability, and security. This can show promise for solving some global supply chain management problems using smart contracts and user authentication along with IoT technology and machine learning concepts that are critically examined with this potential application. © 2022 IEEE.

Fault localization techniques are used to deduce the exact source of a failure from a set of failure indications while debugging software and play a crucial role in improving software quality. Mutation-based fault localization (MBFL) techniques are proposed to localize faults at a finer granularity and with higher accuracy than traditional fault localization techniques. Despite the technique's effectiveness, the immense cost of mutation analysis hinders MBFL's practical application in the industry. Various mutation alternative strategies are utilized to lower the cost of MBFL, but they sacrifice the accuracy of localization results. Higher-order mutation testing was proposed to search for valuable mutants that drive testing harder and reduce the overall test effort. However, higher-order mutants (HOMs) never have been used to address the cost problem of MBFL to the extent of our knowledge. This paper proposes a novel, cost-effective MBFL technique called HOTFUZ, Higher-Order muTation-based FaUlt localiZation, that employs HOMs to reduce the cost while minimizing the accuracy degradation. HOTFUZ combines mutants of a program under test into HOMs to decrease the number of mutants by more than half, depending on the order of HOMs. An experimental study is conducted using 65 real-world faults of CoREBench to assess the proposed approach's cost-effectiveness. The experimental results show that HOTFUZ outperforms the extant mutation alternative strategies by localizing faults more accurately using the same number of mutants executed. HOTFUZ has three main benefits over existing mutant reduction techniques for MBFL: (a) It keeps the advantage of using the whole set of mutation operators;(b) it does not discard generated mutants randomly for the sake of efficiency;and, finally, (c) it significantly decreases the proportion of equivalent mutants. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

A drug recommendation system based on response prediction: Integrating gene expression and K-mer fragmentation of drug SMILES using LightGBM

Medical experts and physicians examine the gene expression abnormality in glioblastoma (GBM) cancer patients to identify the drug response. The main objective of this research is to build a machine learning (ML) based model for improve the outcome of cancer medication to save the time and effort of medical practitioners. Developing a drug response recommendation system is our goal that uses the gene expression data of cancer cell lines to predict the response of anticancer drugs in terms of half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50). Genetic data from a GBM cancer patient is used as input into a system to predict and recommend the response of multiple anticancer drugs in a particular cancer sample. In this research, we used K-mer molecular fragmentation to process drug SMILES in a novel way, which enabled us to build a competent model that provides drug response. We used the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) regression algorithm and Genomics of Drug Sensitivity of Cancer (GDSC) data for this proposed recommendation system. The results showed that all predicted IC50 values are fall within the range of the real values when examining GBM data. Two drugs, temozolomide and carmustine, were predicted with a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.10 and 0.11 respectively, and 0.41 in unseen test samples. These recommended responses were then verified by expert doctors, who confirmed that the responses to these drugs were very close to the actual response. These recommendation are also effective in slowing the growth of these tumors and improving patients quality of life by monitoring medication effects. © 2025 The Authors

As a developing country, Sri Lanka needs to go along with cutting-edge technologies. In the beginning phase of this digital advertising, multiple advertisements were displayed on the users' feeds, including advertisements despite their preferences. This was a terrible user experience for the users. However, smart advertising based on customer preferences can manage the flow of advertisements on the feed as per the users' preferences. This same technique can be used in handling advertisements while shopping at supermarkets. These advertisements can be directed based on demographic characteristics like face and gender and previous customer transactions. Additionally, providing the nearest supermarket they can reach based on their current location. Queue management is the next most crucial facility that needs to be provided to a supermarket. However, the manual system of queue management is not effective. But with a modernized queue management system, overcrowded supermarkets can be managed effectively. This proposed system also considers providing a chatbot service to manage customer inquiries in a reliable strategy. In this system, we mainly used the Keras model called VGGFace for face detection, the Conventional Neural Network and Keras-based model for gender detection, the TensorFlow model called Single Shot MultiBox Detection MobileNet for queue and crowd detection, the Apriori algorithm base model for predicting the buying pattern, a Keras-based model for Artificial Intelligence chatbot and finally, google map Application Programming Interface for the nearest supermarket finding are models and technology. This system was developed to manage a supermarket properly. © 2022 IEEE.
