This research introduces a new method, Fractional Order Sliding Mode control (FOSMC), to manage leg exoskele-tons during gait rehabilitation. This innovative algorithm utilizes fractional calculus principles to precisely regulate the joints of the exoskeleton. By integrating fractional order dynamics, the controller effectively handles the complexities and uncertainties inherent in human walking patterns. This leads to more precise tracking, lower energy usage, and increased comfort for patients during rehabilitation. Additionally, the application of Lyapunov theory ensures the stability of the system. The effectiveness of this control method is assessed through simulation examples in the study. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents an event-based asymptotic tracking control scheme designed for strict feedback systems with unknown control directions. The control directions directly determine how the controller acts on the system, thus impacting the system's stability and convergence speed. When the control directions are unknown, it presents a significant challenge in controller design. To tackle this issue, the Nussbaum-type gains are introduced. However, this method increases communication overhead. Hence, an event-triggered mechanism is introduced to alleviate this burden. Additionally, to achieve and maintain desired target states, satisfying control requirements and performance demands, this paper improves the event-triggered mechanism to achieve asymptotic tracking. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed design are validated through a simulation example. © 2024 Asian control Association.

In the context of digital transformation in the occupational health and safety sector, this research focuses on the efficacy of virtual reality training tools in ensuring workplace safety during maintenance activities. A comprehensive methodology, including focus groups and workshops, is utilized to define a study protocol and evaluate the proposed virtual reality solution. The study suggests that immersive virtual reality training, which integrates the Skill-Rule-Knowledge framework, has the potential to enhance workers’ ability to manage unforeseen situations. It emphasizes the importance of practical, scenario-based training and outlines a detailed evaluation process. With an unconventional approach, we regard the problem of building a precise adaptive model of oil price dynamics in the context of investment projects. I. Newton formulated the principle of analysis. We list the Principles of applying the stochastic theory of asset management to building the optimal investment projects in oil and gas field development. We also analyze all the data of daily oil exchange from 1988 to 2019 (spot prices, Platts (Platt's) McGraw Hill Financial). We use methods and quantitative evaluations of adaptive BMS models with stochastic switches. We outline precise (normalized quadratic deviation within 9%) adaptive BMS models, plot extrapolation (quasi-forecast) on a stability period;make a stability period quasi-forecast and list essential quantitative evaluations and graphs. We discuss the possibility of quick profiting using BMS models. We also discuss the approaches to solving the problem of building optimal midterm oil and gas field development projects and operations, as well as the results we acquire. Analysis of incomes and expenses of an optimal investment project would allow for a substantiated decision on whether the development should be started or forgone. © 2023 IEEE.

The load on a power station varies from time to time due to uncertain demands of the consumers and is known as variable load on the station. Also it is known to have an effect on the performance of a power system stabilizer while damping inter-area oscillation. In this paper conventional lead lag PSS and PSS2B are assessed on real case studies;Peerdawod Gas power station in north of Iraq- Erbil. The PSS utilizes the local rotor speed and power as its input. To investigate the effects of dynamic loads on power systems stability, the effectiveness of PSS is tested and compared with the variation of loads during and after sadden faults. The simulation software that used MatlabTM/Simulink;and results of this paper contribute to the understanding of how load variations influence the system damping based on PSS. © 2023 IEEE.

Increasing the operational efficiency of agricultural machines is essential by the use of artificial intelligence (AI)-based navigation, planning, and control algorithms to handle the increasing demand for food production without compromising sustainability. In this study, an end-to-end path planning algorithm (AgroRL) is proposed for aerial-ground robots team collaboration. In the proposed solution, while main operations in the field are handled by the ground vehicle, the aerial robot is responsible for re-planning a collision-free trajectory for the ground robot when the robot faces an obstacle. Deep reinforcement learning is used for training the end-to-end policy for local re-planning of the aerial robot. The agent, informed by the global trajectory, generates local plans based on depth images. Variational autoencoders are also investigated for dimension reduction of the depth images in obstacle avoidance context to speed up deep reinforcement learning and alleviate the computational complexity of the policy network. The agriculture environment is developed in the Webots open-source robot simulator for training and testing purposes. The efficiency and efficacy of the end-to-end planner are evaluated over a number of cluttered field scenarios. The simulation experiments demonstrate a single aerial vehicle guiding multiple ground robots in agricultural operations. © VDE VERLAG GMBH Berlin Offenbach.

RISC-V architectures are increasingly utilized in security-critical embedded systems, with OpenTitan standing out as a prominent open-source silicon Root-of-Trust. OpenTitan delivers essential functionalities, such as secure boot and execution integrity, but introduces notable area overhead. To mitigate this issue, we propose TitanSSL, a secure software stack that offloads cryptographic operations to OpenTitan. TitanSSL comprises an OpenSSL backend, a Linux driver for system communication, and a custom OpenTitan firmware. Communication between components is facilitated through a custom Application Binary Interface (ABI), ensuring the driver remains independent of the specific cryptographic operations executed by the OpenSSL engine. This design supports extensibility, enabling the integration of additional cryptographic primitives and enhancing the system flexibility. We evaluated TitanSSL on a System-on-Chip (SoC) featuring a CVA6 application core running Linux and OpenTitan, both clocked at 40 MHz on a Xilinx VCU118 FPGA. Our results reveal that, while there is communication overhead between system components, it is outweighed by substantial performance gains. Specifically, TitanSSL achieves speedups of 40x for SHA-256 and 82x for AES-256-CBC compared to a software-only implementation running on the CVA6 core. In addition, we provide design guidelines for future optimizations to improve system performance. © 2025 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

Financial institutions are highly concerned about credit card fraud due to the growing frequency of deceitful activities linked with credit card transactions. To address this issue, a novel fraud detection system is proposed that combines advanced feature engineering and neural network architecture. The proposed approach. FFFW-RBN, employs a hybrid swarm intelligence model comprising the Fruitfly Optimization Algorithm and Fireworks Algorithm, (FFO-FWA) for feature selection, and the Neural Embeddings Generator in combination with a Shallow Radial Basis Network (RBF) for localized pattern classification. The proposed system achieves a 99.97% accuracy, 0.91 recall, and a precision of 0.94. The experimental results demonstrate that our methodology effectively and practically detects fraudulent credit card transactions. The paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of the system, including various performance metrics and a confusion matrix, highlighting its potential for real-world implementation. © 2023 IEEE.

Path planning and seeking is one of the most challenging and interesting problems in the field of artificial intelligence. In this article, we propose a new image-based path planning algorithm to overcome traditional design concepts based on complex topological networks. Specifically, a novel feedback generative adversarial network learning model with channel-space attention (CSA-FGAN) is developed to search and plan an optimal path. It is worth noting that the input and output of the proposed feedback learning model are RGB images with complex spatial obstacle environment maps and RGB images with feasible paths, respectively. In particular, in order to further enhance the feature extraction ability and path prediction accuracy of image data, the feedback attention mechanism controls and improves the depth of the network by forming a closed loop of the proposed learning model. Final, three application scenario image examples are conducted to verify the superiority of the proposed path planning policy. © 2020 IEEE.
