One-sided concept lattices introduce data mining method from the area of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) for analysis of objects clusters according to the set of fuzzy attributes. Currently, most of the methods for creation of one-sided concept lattices process only data tables with one type of truth value structure. In this chapter we describe closure operator, which corresponds to the intersection of particular closure systems obtained from various object-attribute models with different types of attributes. Each particular closure system is defined via one-sided concept lattices approaches applicated for particular data tables.

This article aims to present the design of a 4.5-V, 450-mA low drop-out (LDO) voltage linear regulator based on a two-stage cascoded operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) as error amplifier. The aforementioned two-stage OTA is designed with cascoded current mirroring technique to boost up the output impedance. The proposed OTA has a DC gain of 101 dB under no load condition. The designed reference voltage included in the LDO regulator is provided by a band gap reference with the temperature coefficient (T_γ) of 0.025 mV/℃. The proposed LDO regulator has a maximum drop-out voltage of 0.5 V @ 450 mA of load current, and has the worst case power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of [54.5 dB, 34.3 dB] @ [100 Hz, 10 kHz] in full load condition. All the proposed circuits are designed using a 0.35 μm CMOS technology. The design is checked in order to corroborate its performance for wide range of input voltage, founding that the circuit design works fine meeting all the initial specification requirements.

Modern approaches of cancer therapies have specific effect on the typical mechanisms of uncontrollably growing and multiplying tumor cells. These targeted therapies can be more efficient than commonly applied methods in clinical practice. Antiangiogenic therapy prevents tumors from forming new blood vessels to ensure sufficient oxygen and nutrients. Without appropriate vascularization, the development of the tumor is inhibited, thus metastasis formation is blocked. In this paper we briefly review the importance of antiangiogenic therapy. To improve mathematical models of tumor growth under angiogenic inhibitors, the process of tumor development must be analyzed. We have chosen Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to follow up the dynamics of tumor growth and monitor the effect of angiogenic inhibitors. T1-weighted images have been acquired using gradient-echo, spin echo and fast spin echo sequences to examine subcutaneous mouse tumors. We have found that fast spin echo results the best solution: short data acquisition time and good contrast without contrast agent.

According to the fact that cancer diseases are leading causes of death all around the world, development of cancer fighting therapies is necessary. Beside the medical knowledge, there is an extra need for engineering approach to solve this complex problem. The aim of this paper is to design controller for tumor growth under angiogenic inhibition, which on the one hand minimizes the input signal as far as possible (in order to have less side effects and greater cost-effectiveness) and on the other hand results in appropriately low tumor volume. Since the model contains uncertainties and measurement noise, the controller was designed using modern robust control methodology. Choosing of the ideal system and the weighting functions were done in the light of physiological aspects.

A paper describes the multiagent system of aerial vehicles for difficult to access area's ecological monitoring. The main object of this systems applying is exploration of locality in case of technogenic accident and catastrophe, elemental calamity. The system is able to keep the formation during the movement on the optimal trajectory for the fastest exploration of locality. The group of agents is able to be controlled both manually and full-automatically as a result of composite navigational system applying which allows global positioning and local navigation each of agents. All of agents are equipped with the system of sensors and cameras and the data from them can be saved in local agent's memory as well as can be transmitted to the base station in real time. Because of aerial vehicles configuration with high maneuverability and the speed below 24 km/h the system shows high mobility and allows monitor the state of the natural environment as well as indoor area.

A long distance measurement system using a stereo camera mounted on a rotation control device is proposed for automatic ship control, and the performance of the system is presented to verify the usefulness of it. As a solution to prevent ship operators from maritime accidents owing to their strain for a long period, the distance measurement system is often required to automatically control the posture or berthing of a ship. Here, we discuss the system structure suitable for used environment and its experimental results. From the experiment conducted to imagine the distance measurement necessary to altering the posture and translational motion between a ship and its facilities, the average error for the range of 20 to 100 m was less than 1 percent.

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) has attracted substantial research effort over the past decade. In service-based systems, where multiple services providing the same functionality are available, it is necessary to select the appropriate services to be used in service composition to provide better quality of service (QoS) for service consumers. In order to select the best service composition for concurrent service requests, we present an adaptive control strategy which performs service selection based on the historical usage information of all the candidate services. A case study of a data stream management system is presented to validate the effectiveness of the adaptive control strategy, and examine the effect of the concurrency level on the process of the strategy's decision.

This article presents a novel fault classification and diagnosis technique for bearings based on a Minimum Volume Ellipsoid (MVE) method for feature extraction. Data from two accelerometers located at two different sites of the test bed are combined to create a two dimensional representation and the feature extraction stage condenses that information using an ellipsoid description. The proposed features feed a simple non-linear classifier which separates almost perfectly between normal and faulty conditions, with also very high diagnostic accuracy between the faulty classes. The obtained results suggest that this novel representation can be used within a condition monitoring system.
