The Equilibrium Optimiser(EO)has been demonstrated to be one of the metaheuristic algorithms that can effectively solve global optimisation *** the paradox between exploration and exploitation operations while enhancing the ability to jump out of the local optimum are two key points to be addressed in EO *** alleviate these limitations,an EO variant named adaptive elite-guided Equilibrium Optimiser(AEEO)is ***,the adaptive elite-guided search mechanism enhances the balance between exploration and *** modified mutualism phase reinforces the information interaction among particles and local optima *** cooperation of these two mechanisms boosts the overall performance of the basic *** AEEO is subjected to competitive experiments with state-of-the-art algorithms and modified algorithms on 23 classical benchmark functions and IEE CEC 2017 function test *** results demonstrate that AEEO outperforms several well-performing EO variants,DE variants,PSO variants,SSA variants,and GWO variants in terms of convergence speed and *** addition,the AEEO algorithm is used for the edge server(ES)placement problem in mobile edge computing(MEC)*** experimental results show that the author’s approach outperforms the representative approaches compared in terms of access latency and deployment cost.

In the modern era of a growing population,it is arduous for humans to monitor every aspect of sports,events occurring around us,and scenarios or *** recognition of different types of sports and events has increasingly incorporated the use of machine learning and artificial *** research focuses on detecting and recognizing events in sequential photos characterized by several factors,including the size,location,and position of people’s body parts in those pictures,and the influence around those *** approaches utilized,here are feature descriptors such as MSER(Maximally Stable Extremal Regions),SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform),and DOF(degree of freedom)between the joint points are applied to the skeleton ***,for the same purposes,other features such as BRISK(Binary Robust Invariant Scalable Keypoints),ORB(Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF),and HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients)are applied on full body or *** integration of these techniques increases the discriminative nature of characteristics retrieved in the identification process of the event,hence improving the efficiency and reliability of the entire *** extracted features are passed to the early fusion and DBscan for feature fusion and *** deep belief,network is employed for *** results demonstrate a separate experiment’s detection average recognition rate of 87%in the HMDB51 video database and 89%in the YouTube database,showing a better perspective than the current methods in sports and event identification.

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is an infection that bases eternal visualization loss in patients with diabetes mellitus. With DR, the glucose level in the blood increases, as well as its viscosity, this results in fluid leakage into surrounding tissues in the retina. In other words, DR represents the pathology of capillaries and venules in the retina with leakage effects, being the main acute retinal disorder caused by diabetes. Many DR detection methods have been previously discussed by different researchers;however, accurate DR detection with a reduced execution time has not been achieved by existing methods. The proposed method, the Shape Adaptive box linear filtering-based Gradient Deep Belief network classifier (SAGDEB) Model, is performed to enhance the accuracy of DR detection. The objective of the SAGDEB Model is to perform an efficient DR identification with a higher accuracy and lower execution time. This model comprises three phases: pre-processing, feature extraction, and classification. The shape adaptive box linear filtering image pre-processing is carried out to reduce the image noise without removing significant parts of image content. Then, an isomap geometric feature extraction is performed to compute features of different natures, like shape, texture, and color, from the pre-processed images. After that, the Adaptive gradient Tversky Deep belief network classifier is to perform classification. The deep belief network is probabilistic and generative graphical model that consists of multiple layers such as one input unit, three hidden units, and one output unit. The extracted image featuresare considered in the input layer and these images are sent to hidden layers. Tversky similarity index is applied in hidden layer 1 to analyze the extracted features with testing features. The emotion extraction or opinion mining is one of the key tasks for any text processing frameworks. In recent times, the use of opinion mining has gained a lot of potential due to the application of the potential customized aspects of the consumer relations and other customized applications. However, the application of sentiment analysis or opinion mining is highly challenging as the accuracy of the sentiment analysis depends on the input text corpus. The input text corpus can be highly fluctuating due to the inclusion of emojis or local language influences and finally the use of a wide variety of the regional languages. A good number of parallel research outcomes have aimed to solve these challenges in the recent time. However, most of the parallel research outcomes have primarily three challenges kept unsolved as firstly, the emojis in the text corpus is mainly removed but not translated into sentiment scores, secondly, the translation of the texts from various regional languages and the translation is mainly true translations rather than the contextual translation. Finally, the use of the dictionaries in the actual translation tasks takes a lot of time to process and must be reduced. Henceforth, in order to solve these challenges, this work proposed a framework to automate the weighted emoji-based sentiment analysis, Unicode based translation process to reduce the time complexity and finally use the collaborative sentiment analysis scores to build the final sentiment models. K-means algorithm is one of the well-known unsupervised machine learning algorithms. The algorithm typically finds out distinct non-overlapping clusters in which each point is assigned to a group. The minimum squared distance technique distributes each point to the nearest clusters or subgroups. One of the K-means algorithm’s main concerns is to find out the initial optimal centroids of clusters. It is the most challenging task to determine the optimum position of the initial clusters’ centroids at the very first iteration. This paper proposes an approach to find the optimal initial centroids efficiently to reduce the number of iterations and execution time. To analyze the effectiveness of our proposed method, we have utilized different real-world datasets to conduct experiments. We have first analyzed COVID-19 and patient datasets to show our proposed method’s efficiency. A synthetic dataset of 10M instances with 8 dimensions is also used to estimate the performance of the proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that our proposed method outperforms traditional kmeans++ and random centroids initialization methods regarding the computation time and the number of iterations. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2022.

This paper proposes solving single and multi-objective functions using a new metaheuristics called wild horse optimizer (WHO) used for optimal locating and sizing of Distribution Static Compensators (D-STATCOMs) in the radial distribution networks. The main highlights of this study include maximizing total annual cost savings, minimizing power loss, and enhancing total voltage deviation (VD), both with and without considering load growth factors. The feasibility and efficacy of the proposed WHO algorithm are evaluated by testing it on standard IEEE 69 bus radial distribution systems. After the installation of D-STATCOMs, power loss is reduced by up to 64.49%, total annual cost is reduced by up to 71.79%, and minimum bus voltage is enhanced from 0.909 to 0.93492. The outcomes are contrasted with other approaches documented in existing literature to affirm the proficiency of the proposed WHO method. © 2024 IEEE.

Erasable itemset mining is one of the most well-known methods in data mining for optimizing limited materials. After mining erasable itemsets, the manager can rearrange the production plan effectively. However, in real applications, traditional mining methods neglect some critical factors, such as costs or quantities of components forming a product. This thesis thus considers mining erasable itemsets from a product database with quantitative components. An erasable profit-based itemset mining (EPIM) algorithm is proposed to mine erasable itemsets with low profits by analyzing the relationships between products and components. In experiments, a synthetic dataset was used to compare the performance in execution speed and memory usage under various threshold settings. It can also be easily generalized to find erasable itemsets satisfying the other criteria with a quantitative product database. © 2024 ACM.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) disorder is caused by the imbalance of inhibitory dopamine and excitatory acetylcholine neurotransmitters, which causes hindrance in locomotion. Freezing of gait (FOG), tremors, and bradykinesia are the most debilitating and disconcerting symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). FOG episodes occur due to neurological control disorder and motorized impairments, which sternly hinder voluntary movement and forward locomotion. The computational intelligence techniques can effectively predict PD from the sensor data. To detect the FOG episodes often experienced by PD patients, this paper utilizes a 5G spectrum that operates at 4.8 GHz. The main idea of the proposed system is to extract the wireless channel characteristics information (containing amplitude variances) that can be integrated into a 5G communication system. This system collects data through wireless devices such as dipole antennas, network interface cards, and RF signal generators. Five human activities were performed: fast walking, slow walking, sitting on a chair, FOG episodes, and voluntary stopping. We proposed a novel deep dual self-attention and Bi-LSTM fusion architecture for PD prediction to train the collected dataset. Two architectures have been proposed, namely Deep Dual Attention Neural Network (D2ANN) and BiLSTM Neural Network (BNN), for the classification of PD using Chanel State Information (CSI) data. After that, the most prominent information is extracted using self-attention activation. A newly informed weighted fusion approach is proposed, and tree growth optimization is employed for the best feature selection. Finally, the selected features are classified using a multilayer full SoftMax neural network. The experimental process was conducted on FOG wireless sensor network data and obtained the highest accuracy of 98.66%.
