Partial shading imposes a major issue while generating power using solar photovoltaics (SPV) and consequences in the formation of hot spots and manifold peaks in the power-voltage (P-V) curve of the SPV arrays. As a result, a main deforming concern arises i.e., The power loss due to mismatch in the SPV system is dependent on and directly caused by the shading pattern. Mitigation of this MPL can be assessed by selecting a proper configuration of the SPV array and optimal shading dispersion over the complete SPV array. This paper focuses on the implementation of renowned metaheuristic algorithms (MAs) to optimally disperse the shading effect for a partially shaded total-cross-tied (TCT) SPV array configuration. A partial shading effect is generated using a realistic moving cloud model by incorporating various affecting environmental parameters. Furthermore, MAs are tested for the designed moving cloud model and a comprehensive analysis is presented among the various SPV array configurations.

Measuring the Performance of FreeRTOS on ESP32 Multi-Core

Real-Time Operating system (RTOS) executing on multi-core architectures still links to a lot of unresolved issues. The article presents potential problems and discusses measurement techniques indicating the performance and determinism. The advantages and disadvantages of individual measurement approaches are discussed, which cover a range from non-invasive techniques to techniques that require the cooperation of a monitored application. On top of that, the parameters indicating the performance and properties of RTOS running on multi-core are defined. Among them, the measuring of the semaphore taking, and task period jitter are described deeply. The operations are measured on ESP32-WROOM-32 development kit equipped with XTENSA dual-core processor running FreeRTOS. The results show unexpectedly high values of the switching context time and jitter when the rescheduling to another core was forced compared to time values measured on single core. Consequently, the unexpected rescheduling to other core increases the execution time of FreeRTOS operations. The work should facilitate the improvement of FreeRTOS implementation when running on multi-core architecture.

In terms of security and privacy,mobile ad-hoc network(MANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and *** more MANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the ***,MANET’s lack of infrastructure,unpredictable topology,and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes,contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole *** proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm,which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost MANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-MLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering *** is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor *** hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole *** the LEACH clustering phase,however,can also detect passive black-hole *** effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested *** diverse mobility situations,the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution ***,the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.

Fuzzy Logic Based Metaheuristic Algorithm for Optimization of Type-1 Fuzzy controller: Fault-Tolerant control for Nonlinear system with Actuator Fault ⁎

This research offers a fuzzy-based harmonic search (HS) metaheuristic technique for optimizing type-1 fuzzy controller for Fault-Tolerant control (FTC) for nonlinear level control application subject to two uncertainties (i.e. actuator fault and external process disturbances), using type-1 and interval type-2 fuzzy-based HS algorithms. The effectiveness of a fuzzy logic-based adaptive HS algorithm in a nonlinear two-tank level control process with the primary actuator has dwindled (LOE). The work key contribution is the discovery of the best technique for constructing an optimal vector of values for the fuzzy controller’s membership functions (MFs) optimization. This is made to improve dynamic response by bringing the process value of the two-tank level control process close to the target process value (set-point). It’s worth noting that the type-1 fuzzy controller’s optimized MFs use an interval type-2 fuzzy system for parameter adaptation of the HS algorithm, which can handle greater uncertainty than a type-1 fuzzy system. In this case, the limiting MFs of interval type-2 fuzzy sets are type-1 fuzzy sets, which defne the footprint of uncertainty (FOU). Simulation results show that FHSO using an interval type-2 fuzzy system outperforms FHSO using a type-1 fuzzy system in the optimal design of a type-1 fuzzy controller.

We live in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and the technological skills that are applied in industry are dispersed into the surrounding fields of human activity. The most accelerated area is healthcare. We call Healthcare 4.0 a new approach to technological progress in this field. As the name suggests, this trend has something to do with Industry 4.0. It is not true that healthcare takes over industrial production, but some technological processes. An example is the Internet of Things and its modification of the Medical Internet of Things (MIoT) for medical devices. As in industry, the effort is to remove as much human activity as possible from the control chain. We try to achieve the same properties in healthcare systems. With the advent of the coronavirus pandemic, the development of similar applications has accelerated significantly due to a lack of experienced manpower in the industry. In particular, the care of elderly or less mobile patients is personnel and time consuming. The trend of an aging population does not contribute to this either. To maintain the cavity of care despite the lack of manpower, it is necessary to make this work as efficient as possible. Anti-decubitus mattresses should also be used for this purpose, which monitor the position and change of position of the patient who is prone to bedsores. Our classification methods use machine learning methods to improve the accuracy of the detected position. Thanks to this, we can alert staff if necessary to prevent critical injuries and reduce treatment costs before damage occurs. Prevention is the only and best possible treatment for bedsores. © 2021 IEEE.

As a contemporary bidirectional intelligent instrumentation telemetry system, wireless technology is pivotal in serving crucial communication requirements of smart grid. As a result, research into the influence of weather variations on communication system availability is critical. The goal of this study is to investigate and examine the influence of weather variations on communication system’s run-time availability, as well as to recommend better alternatives for the particular region. This paper addresses the problem of predicting the sales by developing two sales forecasting models based on multi-layered perceptron (MLP) and radial basis function network (RBFN). The performance of both these models have been thoroughly compared in predicting the sales. To update the parameters in these models we have used dynamic back-propagation (DBP) method. Simulation results obtained shows that MLP has performed better than the RBFN. © 2019, Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management.

The problem of non-collocated vibration absorption by a delayed resonator is addressed with emphasis on system fatigue resistance and energy efficiency of control actions. The analysis is performed for a system consisting of an arbitrary large series of flexibly linked single-degree-of-freedom masses. For the stage where the vibration of the target mass is fully absorbed by the non-collocated resonator, key forces, motion amplitudes and potential energies across the system structure are assessed. Next, a complete parameter set of the resonator gain and delay is derived, and the actuation force and power needed by the resonator for the full vibration absorption is determined. The derived quantities are utilized in forming an optimization problem to balance minimal risk of fatigue across the system structure and power needed by the resonator, under the closed loop stability and parameter constraints. Next to the gain and delay of the resonator, selected structural parameters of the system are used as variables in the constrained nonlinear optimization problem. Experimental and numerical case studies are included to demonstrate benefits of the proposed integrated structural and control design. © 2025 The Authors

In this research, the Human Following Robot (HFR) prototype has been designed and implemented using YOLO v3-Tiny and Tensor Flow Lite on Raspberry Pi hardware named Rewang. The HFR Rewang is designed to assist aircraft technicians by bringing maintenance tool kits to aircraft shelters. Rewang's movement is based on a camera as a vision sensor following the movement of human entities. Image input is processed by YOLO v3-Tiny through the determination of the bounding box, the calculation of Euclidean Distance, and the determination of the pixel value of the camera as the basis of Rewang's movement which is regulated by an L298N driver motor that controls two Direct Current (DC) motors for the left and right wheels. The test results show that Rewang can move at an average speed of 0.18 m/s at 2 m with a travel time of 11 seconds with a light intensity of more than 250 lux. The minimum and maximum distance of object detection is as far as 120 cm and 400 cm, with an object detection accuracy of 95.8%. Rewang allows the HFR to have a larger carrying capacity to bring more complete aircraft maintenance tools and is prospective for other aerospace and general applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Several rural communities are still living with disrupted power supplies. Consequently, diesel generators are used for getting regular power supply to provide effective healthcare services. Usage of diesel generator not only have deteriorating impact on the environment, but also is an expensive alternative to grid supply. Usage of renewable energy systems with battery are becoming popular solution for feeding such kind of loads in the remote areas. In this work, an off-grid hybrid electrification system (HES) is designed which consists of Solar PV-Diesel Generator-Batteries for the regular supply of electricity to the available load of PHC, located in a remote area of Kaimur district in Bihar, India. Investigation is carried out for five different technologies of batteries Lead-acid (LA), Lithium-ion (LI), Vanadium flow (VF), Zinc bromide (ZB) and Nickel-iron (NI) which are incorporated with HES. An optimum configuration for a PHC has been designed taking all major techno-economic factors and renewable penetration into consideration. Investigation reveals that a vanadium flow-based hybrid electrification system is the most feasible solution with respect to the techno-economic perspective among all considered configurations.
