The aim of this work was to develop a methodology for measuring and evaluation of dynamic behavior of the driver, to determine the differences between the behavior of unwearied and fatigued driver and to propose a development of a mechanism for continuous detection of dangerous situations, like going out of the traffic line. The most suitable characteristics for fatigue detection were determined and used for comparison with data obtained from test drives performed within 24 Hours. In the given environment if certain parameters are known for a given unwearied driver, characteristics of fatigue can be detected by the means of measurement, analysis and comparison.

This paper proposed a combined phase shift PWM and PFM controller of a high frequency three level single-phase half bridge neutral point clamp voltage source inverter (NPCVSI) induction heating application. Biomass combustion is one of the most versatile and widespread heat sources for residential usage in the world. Nowadays many new combustion devices in developed countries are controlled automatically. The control algorithm used in these devices is crucial in achieving optimal service economy with minimal environmental impact. This paper deals with two ways to implement proper control algorithms for small- and medium-scale boilers. The first method applies modern methods of controller development, while the second adapts tested algorithms from full-scale boilers. The algorithms are implemented and tested on experimental devices based on widely available products.

In this paper, detailed optical of the solar parabolic dish concentrator is presented. The system has diameter D = 2,800 mm and focal length f = 1,400 mm. The efficient conversion of solar radiation in heat at these temperature levels requires a use of concentrating solar collectors. In this paper, detailed optical design of the solar parabolic dish concentrator is presented. The parabolic dish of the solar system consists from 12 curvilinear trapezoidal reflective petals. This paper presents optical simulations of the parabolic solar concentrator unit using the ray-tracing software TracePro. The total flux on receiver and the distribution of irradiance for absorbed flux on center and periphery receiver are given. The total flux at the focal region is 4,031.3 W. The goal of this paper is to present optical design of a low-tech solar concentrator, that can be used as a potentially low-cost tool for laboratory-scale research on the medium-temperature thermal processes, cooling, industrial processes, solar cooking and polygeneration systems, etc.

This paper deals with the practical use of the direct georeferencing technique which has applying in the area of aerial photogrammetry and digital surface model (DSM) creation. Todays micro unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are able to carry high resolution camera, global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver with up to 1 centimeter position accuracy and inertial measurement unit (IMU) based on MEMS technology. These sensors are fundamental for the direct georeferencing. Some types of micro UAVs platforms and aerial mapping methods are descibed at the begening. Special attention is paid to geometric method called triangulation witch forms the basis of the technique. Practical photogrammetric measurement with simulated aerial photographic data is described in the second part of the paper. For this purposes low- cost commercial camera as a image sensor and high-accurate real time kinematic (RTK) GNSS receiver as a positon sensor was used.

In this paper, the accuracy of soft computing technique in solar radiation prediction based on series of measured meteorological data (monthly mean sunshine duration, monthly mean maximum and minimum temperature) taking from Iseyin meteorological station in Nigeria was examined. The process, which simulates the solar radiation with support vector regression (SVR), was constructed. The inputs were monthly mean maximum temperature (Tmax), monthly mean minimum temperature (Tmin) and monthly mean sunshine duration ( $$ \bar{n} $$ ). Polynomial and radial basis functions (RBF) are applied as the SVR kernel function to estimate solar radiation. According to the results, a greater improvement in estimation accuracy can be achieved through the SVR with polynomial basis function compared to RBF. The SVR coefficient of determination R 2 with the polynomial function was 0.7395 and with the radial basis function, the R 2 was 0.5877.
