Electrostatic sensor detects the electric charge carried by dry particle in a pneumatic conveyor. Sensitivity characteristics of the Electrostatic sensor play an important role to design a flow measurement system. In this study, the sensitivity features of the ring shape electrodes are simulated to find the effect of electrode geometry on sensor sensitivity. Ansys Maxwell 14.0 is utilized as an electric field simulator to measure the amount of induced electrical charge from a particle to the sensor electrode in a 3D environment using finite-element analysis. The results precisely show the sensitivity characteristics between electrodes with different thickness, axial length and diameter.

Because of the serious situation of environmental pollution all over the world, the water hydraulic technique using pure tap water as a pressure medium has become new drive source comparable to electric, oil hydraulic, and pneumatic drive systems. Furthermore, water hydraulics is also preferred because of its high power density, clean, high safety against fire hazards, and easy availability. However, the main problems for precise control in water hydraulic systems are steady state errors and overshoot due to its large friction torque and considerable leakage flow. In this study, a simple adaptive control (SAC) algorithm that is appropriate for dealing with these problems will be applied to a water hydraulic servo motor system for both angle and velocity controls. SAC also has simple, lower order structure, and few adaptive parameters;thus, it is high feasibility in real applications. For both angle and velocity controls using SAC, the tracking performances are good in simulation: 0.08 degree and almost 0 revolution per minute (min~(-1)) for angle and velocity controls, respectively. The controllers also can highly attenuate the effects of disturbances.

This paper present a PI with Anti-Windup (PI+AW) strategy to regulate a rotor speed of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The strategy and PMSM modeling are based on Direct Torque control (DTC) with a Space Vector Modulation (SVM). A Matlab/Simulink is used to establish the simulation model. As the result of simulation, Overshoot of a starting torque and a setting time of rotor speed are reduced. Consequently, the PI+AW are significantly greater than conventional PI.

Recent development in the area of renewable energy sources (RES) shows, that situation in countries supporting a great growth of RES, particularly photovoltaic, leads to big problems. Modelling studies show that in a very near future there will be a big surplus of electrical energy production in networks of NN (low voltage networks). It would evoke necessity to transfer energy into higher voltage networks. However it will not be possible while protection systems of high voltage networks are developed for the opposite flow of energy. Contribution deals with possible solution of stability of NN distribution networks by means of smart metering – smart grid system. Proposal of electronic instrumentation of measurement and control is presented in the contribution.

The article discusses the reliability of the human operator in the Man - Machine - system (MMS). Safety and reliability of technical systems can be critically influenced by people's behavior. It is necessary to analyze the technical components of the system and at the same analyzing human activities. Creating a probabilistic risk assessment (PSA) is based on a comprehensive evaluation of human behavior. Probabilistic estimate of a human reliability assessment (HRA) aims at the quantitatively analyze human action to identify possible errors, identifying weaknesses in the system. In the second part of the article there is an analysis of dynamic changes in driver behavior due to rising fatigue. The fatigue and a decrease in concentration are reflected especially on long monotonous rides on highway, where cars reach high speeds. The failure of the driver in this situation is critical.

This paper deals with proprietary communication protocols that are implemented in the MikroTik RouterOS operating system. These communication protocols are specially designed for remote management of embedded systems that run with this operating system. These protocols are closed and thus they have not a publicly accessible documentation. In this paper the principles of their functions that are identified on the basis of realized communication analyses are described. Security risks that are associated with the use of these communication protocols are also analyzed in the paper. Attack that uses conceptual bug in the design one of these communication protocols is demonstrated on a real example. Full and unlimited access to embedded system that runs with this operating system can be obtained with this attack.

In this paper is presented the multilevel inverter which is controlled by Phase Lock Loop (PLL) controller in close-loop system. The multilevel inverter was multiplied voltage levels at output. The inner PLL controller was controlled by PI control in order to firing angle of PWM signal. This control scheme is estimated phase and frequency in DQ-transform of PLL controller on time domain. The PLL controllers were locking constant the frequency and voltage of inverter through the signal estimated in DQ-dimension. The proposed methods determine high-precision and accuracy of switching frequency in PLL characteristic based on time domain. Moreover, in this paper represented the 2nd order phase lock loop (PLL) analysis methodology. The 2nd order phase lock loop demonstrated in transfer function form that is measured and analysis the signal in time domain. The close-loop control was analyzed the fast response and stability in frequency domain which is obviously behavior of Phase Lock Loop (PLL).
