Robot safety depends in part on the ability to detect moving objects and predict their motions. Although various related algorithms have been proposed, both the real-time performance and robustness of perception and prediction still need to be improved. This paper designs a real-time and reliable perception-prediction system to perceive the obstacle and predict trajectories by using 3D point clouds. The perception-prediction system includes five modules, which preserve the low-computational characteristic. A compensation module is proposed to improve the tracking performance when an obstacle is perceived. Moreover, a stabilization module including spline interpolation, filtering, and Gaussian noise is provided to improve the prediction accuracy. Finally, experimental results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed perception-prediction system. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, distributed plug-and-play (PnP) optimization control method for interconnected industrial processes is studied. Due to the influence of information interaction between subsystems, the performance of each subsystems are affected by their neighbor subsystem. Decentralized control approaches face difficulty in achieving satisfactory performance where the impact of information interaction between subsystems. Centralized optimal control method can achieve good results, but it burden on communication and computing. Compared with centralized and decentralized controller, distributed approaches has less online computational load and more flexible implementation schemes in interconnected industrial processes. In this work, a residual-driven distributed PnP optimization control approach is further developed, in which local residuals and residuals from neighbor subsystems are used to drive PnP optimization controllers. The influence between adjacent subsystems is fully considered in this design method. Experimental results on a three tank benchmark system show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

For manufacturing industry, scheduling problem is a very important problem. Good scheduling scheme can greatly improve the production efficiency of enterprises. The flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) not only needs to arrange the processing sequence for the operations of each workpiece, but also needs to consider how to allocate machines to the operations to improve the processing efficiency. Dynamic flexible job shop scheduling problem (DFJSP) is based on FJSP, which studies how to dynamically reschedule enterprise production according to the actual situation when disturbance events occur, so as to minimize the impact of emergencies on production. For DFJSP under machine fault, this strategy can dynamically schedule in time for different states before and after the machine fault is repaired, maximize the use of workshop resources, and reduce the impact of machine fault on production. A scheduling scheme combining predictive scheduling and real-time scheduling is proposed for DFJSP under machine fault. Then the standard test cases are used to verify the scheduling scheme from multi-objective with NSGA-II. The experimental results show that the scheduling scheme is feasible. © 2022 IEEE.

Flexible production lines are the mainstream choice in the current manufacturing industry. In a flexible line, a single machine can execute a variety of processing tasks. Machine breakdowns are common unexpected disturbances in manufacturing. Machine breakdowns in a flexible production line that result in the unexpected shutdown of the flexible production line's operation unit will have a significant influence on the overall manufacturing process. A two-stage dynamic scheduling strategy is used in this paper to solve the problem that the repair time of the machine cannot be accurately estimated when the machine fails in the production process of the flexible production lines. When any machine fails or is repaired, this strategy is used to set up the best production schedule for flexible production lines. The two-stage scheduling strategy can avoid estimating the repair time of the machine so that dynamic scheduling can be carried out accurately according to the actual situation. The imperialist competitive algorithm(ICA) is originally suitable for continuous optimization problems, while this problem falls within the category of discrete optimization. In this paper, the idea of hybridization of genetic algorithm is used to improve the ICA, so that it is suitable for discrete optimization problems to solve dynamic scheduling. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the two-stage dynamic scheduling strategy and the improved imperialist competitive algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

A new fault-tolerant controller is designed in this paper, which ensures the event-triggered leader-following consensus of multiple robotic manipulators subject to switching topologies. A Markov distributed sequence with a known probability transition matrix is employed to describe the switching communication topologies of multiple robotic manipulators. The investigated actuator fault model contains both constant and time-varying faults. Also, the norm-bounded conditions are utilized to denote the manipulators nonlinearities and additive noises. Furthermore, a set of output-based control gains are explicitly characterized via ensuring mean-square stability on dynamics of consensus errors. Finally, simulation results illustrate the designed consensus protocol can compensate actuator failure effectively. © 2022 IEEE.

With the widespread use of power electronic equipment, accurately identifying soft faults in power electronic converters is crucial for the stable and reliable operation of power electronic equipment. This paper proposed a soft fault diagnosis method for three-phase DC/AC converter using a data-based approach. Firstly, simulation analysis is conducted on the soft faults of three-phase DCI AC converter, and appropriate test signals are selected as data sources. Then, the LSTM neural network and its variants are used to obtain fault diagnosis models. Finally, the method is validated through experiments, and the results show that it has good performance in soft fault diagnosis of the three-phase DCI AC converter. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate turbulence modeling is essential for simulation studies of urban *** this study,the comprehensive atmospheric boundary layer(ABL)model involving a variable model coefficient and an additional turbulent dissipation source term was implemented using the open-source software *** with consistent inlet wind profiles and rough wall functions of different turbulence variables based on the aerodynamic roughness,the model maintained the horizontal homogeneity ***,a hybrid approach was introduced to consider buildings immersed in ABL flows,enabling automatic transformation of the turbulence model between the region around the buildings and the free flow region away from any ***,the effects of applying different model forms to the airflow field around buildings were evaluated in detail through three-dimensional building cases representing six urban prototypes based on three wind tunnel *** findings indicated that all modified k–εmodels perform well in reproducing the flow data of the CEDVAL and Architectural institute of Japan(AIJ)experiments consisting of a single building,an array of buildings,and an isolated high-rise ***,the modified k–εmodel with an additional correction term performed poorly in the database of Niigata institute of technology and the case of complex terrain and urban building configurations,because the correction term inhibited the generation of turbulent kinetic *** addition,from the comparison between the experimental data of all cases,the model with the original formulation of the coefficient performed the best in terms of prediction *** root mean square errors of the normalized velocity were 0.1250,0.0879,0.1145,0.1350,and 0.1492 in different cases,which proved the reliability of this turbulence model.

Motion infilling is a fundamental and challenging research field in human motion modeling and analysis, which aims to generate natural and visually coherent transitions to fill in missing motion frames based on the start and end motion sequences. However, most current methods ignore the spatial structure formed by joints, which may lose some spatial information. This work proposes a novel spatiotemporal graph U-Net that supports flexible inputs for skeleton-based motion infilling. We apply spatiotemporal graph convolutional layers, skeleton pooling layers, and skeleton unpooling layers to extract spatial and temporal features in the motion sequence. At the same time, we use the U-Net structure to integrate the information in the start and end motion sequences. In addition, the generative adversarial mechanism is introduced to ensure the generated skeleton poses are smooth and natural. We conduct experiments on two motion datasets, including one large-scale public dataset and one self-built dataset. The model inputs are joint quaternions or joint coordinates. Experimental results show that our method can improve the performance of skeleton-based motion infilling and achieve state-of-the-art results when using joint coordinates as model input. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, the tracking control problem for networked control system (NCS) under communication delays is investigated. In order to realize the tracking of the NCS, an event-triggered predictive control strategy is provided to compensate for the delays and achieve stability. Both tracking performance and input increments are considered in the proposed cost function. Based on the incremental inputs, an event-triggered mechanism is established to reduce the communication costs. The efforts of different parameters are illustrated through the results of the simulation, and the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is also validated from the application of the networked lighting setup. © 2023 Technical Committee on control theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
