Breast cancer is a leading cause of death among women worldwide. Accurate segmentation of breast tumors in Bmode ultrasound (BUS) images is crucial for early detection and diagnosis. However, this task remains challenging due to indistinct boundaries and artifacts. Existing methods using only BUS images often mistake artifacts in BUS images for tumors, posing challenges in accurately delineating tumor contours. To overcome the interference of artifacts and achieve more accurate segmentation, a multimodal method combining B-mode and elastography ultrasound images for breast tumor segmentation is proposed in this study. The proposed method utilizes BUS images and elastography as dual inputs of the network because elastography can depict the stiffness of breast tissue. The attention-separation-and-aggregation gate (ASA-Gate) module is implemented to achieve cross-modal feature fusion and extraction. Experimental results on an in-house dataset demonstrated the effectiveness of the method in reducing the interference of artifacts and improving the segmentation accuracy in BUS images.

Robust Non-fragile Negative Imaginary H∞ Synthesis for Attitude Stabilization of Flexible Spacecrafts With Input Constraint

High-precision attitude stabilization of flexible spacecraft with model uncertainty, external disturbance, actuator fault and input constraint is investigated in this paper. A robust non-fragile negative imaginary (NI) H∞ synthesis scheme is developed, rendering the closed-loop system asymptotically stable and NI with H∞ norm bounded. Meanwhile, the control input u is constrained by the specified upper bound. With a convex relaxation of Bilinear Matrix Inequalities (BMIs), the controller synthesis is cast as a convex optimization problem subject to Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) constraints. The notable feature of the proposed method is that it achieves flexible vibration suppression and high-precision attitude stabilization simultaneously without requiring additional measurements or intelligent materials. The convergence of LMIs-based iterative algorithm is guaranteed by rigorous proof. Finally, comparative simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method with high steady-state accuracy and low energy consumption. © 1965-2011 IEEE.

3d-transition metal(Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn)-based MXene materials have been predicted to demonstrate exceptional electrochemical performance because of their good electrical conductivity and the presence of metallic atoms with multiple charge ***,until now,there have been no reports on MXenes based on Fe,Co,Ni,and Mn,due to the lack of 3d-metal-layered ***,we successfully synthesized the first 3d-transition metal-based MXenes,Mn_(2)CT_(x) by exfoliating a layered precursor derived from the anti-perovskite bulk *** as-prepared Mn_(2)CT_(x) MXene nanosheets were employed as anode materials in lithium-ion batteries,which exhibited stable storage capacity of 764.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.5 C,placing its storage capacities at an upper-middle level compared with other reported MXene materials as well as other Mn-based anode ***,this study opens a new avenue for MXene research by synthesizing 3d-transition metal-based MXenes for electrochemical applications.

Due to the important part of batteries in industrial systems, its safety analysis has causes widespread attention from researchers, and its effective maintenance decision-making is needed. Data-driven state-of-health (SOH) estimation can provide useful information by monitoring historical data during the aging process, but it can be failed in the cross-domain scenarios due to the different data distributions. To tackle this issue, we propose a long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network with an additional fully connected dense as a basic predictor, and apply the pretrain and fine-tuning training algorithm to realize the high-performance prediction. By validated in two real-world datasets, we find that blindly expanding the training set may have a negative impact on model accuracy, and the proposed TL-LSTM can achieve a great performance under the cross-domain tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

Real-time measurement and control of the temperature and thermal damage of the therapeutic target is critical to the safety and effectiveness of photothermal therapy (PTT). However, due to the lack of effective non-contact temperature control technology, it is very difficult to accurately measure and control the temperature of the target area, which may cause damage to the healthy tissues around the target area. In this paper, to ensure the effectiveness of photothermal therapy while minimizing damage to normal tissues, we propose a closed-loop photoacoustic photothermal therapy method and system based on real-time Kalman filter temperature estimation model. A prediction and observation model for the target temperature field has been established, achieving non-invasive real-time temperature measurement. At the same time, combined with the closed-loop fuzzy PID temperature regulation algorithm, we can also adjust the drive power of therapeutic laser in real time, and finally achieve the real-time control of the target temperature. After experimental validation, the system proposed in this paper achieves the temperature control accuracy of 0.47 °C and 0.76 °C on the phantoms and ex vivo, respectively. In addition, the comparison with the results of the simulated PTT experiment without the temperature observation model further verifies the advantages of this method in dynamic and static control performance. In general, this method has the potential to be used as an auxiliary means in PTT to further improve the dynamic characteristics and precision of therapy. © 2025

Estimating Ground Snow Load Based on Ground Snow Depth and Climatological Elements for Snow Hazard Assessment in Northeastern China

Extreme snow loads can collapse *** load is calculated based on the ground snow load(that is,the snow water equivalent on the ground).However,snow water equivalent(SWE) measurements are unavailable for most sites,while the ground snow depth is frequently measured and recorded.A new simple practical algorithm was proposed in this study to evaluate the SWE by utilizing ground snow depth,precipitation data,wind speed,and air *** the evaluation,the precipitation was clas sified as snowfall or rainfall according to the air temperature,the snowfall or rainfall was then corrected for measurement error that is mainly caused by wind-induced undercatch,and the effect of snow water loss was *** developed algorithm was applied and validated using data from57 meteorological stations located in the northeastern region of *** annual maximum SWE obtained based on the proposed algorithm was compared with that obtained from the actual SWE *** return period values of the annual maximum ground snow load were estimated and compared to those obtained according to the procedure suggested by the Chinese structural design *** comparison indicated that the use of the proposed algorithm leads to a good estimated SWE or ground snow *** use allowed the estimation of the ground snow load for sites without SWE measurement and facilitated snow hazard mapping.

In this paper, a synchronous control strategy based on super-twisting sliding mode algorithm is proposed to enhance the tracking accuracy and robustness of H-type linear motor systems. Such systems are widely utilized in precision manufacturing owing to their high precision and fast response. Firstly, the dynamic model is established based on the coupling dynamics analysis of the H-type system. Secondly, a supertwisting sliding mode controller (STSMC) with linear terms is designed, which effectively reduces the chattering associated with conventional sliding mode control, while maintaining good robustness. Thirdly, a super-twisting extended state observer (STESO) is introduced to handle large fluctuations in the early estimation process of linear extended state observer (LESO), so as to effectively observe and compensate the uncertainties and external disturbances. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the STESO-based STSMC greatly improves the anti-disturbance ability and tracking accuracy of the H-type system.

With the diversification of reconnaissance equipment and methods in the military field, optical stealth technology has become a hot spot in military research under the operational needs of optoelectronic confrontation. An improved self-adaptive visible light and infrared waveband stealth algorithm is proposed here, and its effectiveness under photoelectric confrontation is evaluated. The current digital camouflage design method is mainly through background color mixing, image segmentation, spot combination, etc. It has the defects of smooth and clear edge contour, fixed color/texture scene, and cannot adapt to complex texture background or multiple types of scenes. An improved digital camouflage design method based on fuzzy C-means clustering (FCM) image processing technology is proposed to obtain the color characteristics of the background image. Then, the color block types of the camouflage spots are acquired to reduce the loss of texture information of the background image caused by clustering or segmentation to avoid the phenomenon of clear boundaries caused by single region segmentation. The results show that the use of adaptive optical stealth algorithms in the visible and infrared bands can reduce the probability of being discovered in optoelectronic countermeasures, thereby gaining a head start. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithm is widely used in unmanned and robotic applications. SLAM usually uses sensor data, which are from the LiDAR, the inertial measurement unit (IMU) and the wheeled odometry, to build maps of the surrounding environment. However, the motion distortion of LiDAR data and the error accumulation of wheeled odometry can affect the accuracy of the front-end odometry of the SLAM algorithm, which can lead to serious errors in the maps created. Therefore, in order to solve the problem of poor map construction results of SLAM algorithm due to various types of sensor errors. we propose the traceless Kalman filtering based (UKF-based) multi-sensor data processing algorithm. Firstly, the proposed algorithm uses the UKF to fuse IMU and wheeled odometry data to reduce the cumulative error of wheeled odometry. And then the algorithm uses IMU and corrected wheeled odometry data and combines with the motion states of the robot to solve the motion distortion problem of LiDAR data. Finally, we verified the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for wheeled odometry data correction in Gazebo simulation environment and real environment experiments, and compared the mapping effectiveness of SLAM by using the original data and the data processed by our algorithm. The experimental results show that the map construction effect of SLAM algorithm is significantly improved when using the sensor data processed by the algorithm. Experimental validation on the robot shows that the proposed algorithm has universal applicability and good compatibility. © 2023 IEEE.

In fluorescence microscopy,computational algorithms have been developed to suppress noise,enhance contrast,and even enable super-resolution(SR).However,the local quality of the images may vary on multiple scales,and these differences can lead to *** mapping methods fail to finely estimate the local quality,challenging to associate the SR scale ***,we develop a rolling Fourier ring correlation(rFRC)method to evaluate the reconstruction uncertainties down to SR *** visually pinpoint regions with low reliability,a filtered rFRC is combined with a modified resolution-scaled error map(RSM),offering a comprehensive and concise map for further *** demonstrate their performances on various SR imaging modalities,and the resulting quantitative maps enable better SR images integrated from different ***,we expect that our framework can become a routinely used tool for biologists in assessing their image datasets in general and inspire further advances in the rapidly developing field of computational imaging.
