In this paper, a dual observer based model-free adaptive control strategy is designed for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with disturbances and input/output (I/O) constraints. The dual observers consists of an adaptive observer and a discrete extended state observer, in which the former is designed to realize the dynamic reconfiguration of the system and devise the Lyapunov stability criterion-based estimation algorithm for time-varying parameters, and the latter is explored for composite disturbance estimation. Based on the information from dual observers, a dynamic anti-windup compensator along with an improved prescribed performance control method are proposed in the sliding mode controller to solve the I/O constraint problem. Finally, the stability analysis and simulation are supplied for performance verification.

The quadrotor has been widely equipped in military and civilian areas. Due to small size and high integration, the system stability is easily affected by the environment. It is important to improve the reliability of the low-cost quadrotor control system and reduce the experimental risk. This paper proposes a method for formulating a simulation model of the flight control system and establishes a physical platform for verification. In this method, the Newton-Euler formula is involved to set up the kinematic equation. The Mahony filter is used for sensor data fusion and attitude solution. A cascade proportion integration differentiation controller with integral separation is designed to control the attitude. Finally, the experimental data are compared to the simulated data to verify the usability of this simulation model and the reliability of the flight control system. © 2020 IEEE.

The distribution of measuring points is important in reconstructing the vibro-acoustic source field using the near-field acoustical holography (NAH) based on the equivalent source method (ESM). Generally, the overdetermined hologram data, deteriorated with noise, do not always better in conducting the source reconstruction than the determined data situation. In this regard, an optimal arrangement of the hologram points is needed to reduce the effect of noise. In this work, the optimal measurement positions are determined by adopting the method that assures independence among the measuring positions as far as possible. Singular value decomposition of the transfer matrix is employed in the loop-iteration calculation fashion, in which the candidate measuring point affecting the increase of singularity is eliminated at each iteration step. Comparison is made with the uniformly distributed hologram points and uneven measuring points chosen by the EfI technique. The test results reveal that the acoustic field of sound sources can be reconstructed meaningfully from the optimized hologram points of underdetermined condition. Under the predetermined reconstruction accuracy, the test results reveal an excellent potential to improve the restoration precision ability than the usual method. © INTER-NOISE 2021 .All right reserved.

Brake by wire is a key technology in the motion control level of autonomous vehicles. In order to provide a flexible control interface for the decision-making level, the hardware of the brake-by-wire controller is designed, and the active hydraulic boosting law is implemented using model-based-design method. The application verification is carried out on the experimental bench. The results show it is feasible to use the model-based-design method for the brake-by-wire controller development. © 2020 IEEE.

Thanks to rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), a new branch of computer science, modern industry system becomes increasingly intelligent. What's more, mountains of data in industrial process can be saved for data-driven intelligent fault detection and classification. A method of intelligent data-driven fault classification based on stability margin is proposed in this paper, which gives a data-driven stability margin solution. As an important feature, the stability margin, together with the input and output (I/O) data, is input into the LM-BP neural network multi-classifier for fault classification. Moreover, the proposed method is demonstrated to be effective with high accuracy through a DC motor benchmark. © 2020 IEEE.

In this paper, the inverse Kalman filtering problem is addressed using a duality-based framework, where certain statistical properties of uncertainties in a dynamical model are recovered from observations of its posterior estimates. The duality relation in inverse filtering and inverse optimal control is established. It is shown that the inverse Kalman filtering problem can be solved using results from a well-posed inverse linear quadratic regulator. Identifiability of the considered inverse filtering model is proved and a unique covariance matrix is recovered by a least squares estimator, which is also shown to be statistically consistent. Effectiveness of the proposed methods is illustrated by numerical simulations.

Full-Waveform Inversion With Low-frequency Extrapolation Based on Sparse Deconvolution for Ultrasound Computed Tomography

Objective: In ultrasound computed tomography (USCT), full-waveform inversion (FWI) is a promising algorithm for high-resolution sound-speed reconstruction. When implementing FWI in practical imaging systems, insufficient high-quality, low-frequency information often leads to cycle skipping, which subsequently degrades convergence and accuracy. To address this problem, this paper proposes a modified FWI algorithm. Methods: Our approach incorporated low-frequency extrapolation for seismic imaging applications, capitalizing on the inherent sparsity of time-domain impulse response functions. Through a deconvolution-based framework, we enabled robust impulse response function estimation that facilitated the spectral extension of band-limited measurements. The extrapolated low-frequency components, while representing an approximate recovery rather than exact reconstruction of unmeasured frequencies, demonstrated sufficient fidelity for practical implementation in multi-frequency inversion workflows. Results: Numerical and experimental studies have demonstrated the efficacy of extrapolated low-frequency components in mitigating cycle-skipping artifacts. Compared with conventional low-pass filtering, the proposed method reduced the sound-speed reconstruction root mean square error from 34.47 m/s to 6.47 m/s. Phantom experiments confirmed the robustness of our method, demonstrating root mean square error reduction from 16.57 m/s (standard filtering) to 5.98 m/s (our method). Conclusion: This work relaxes the restriction of FWI in transducer frequency, potentially making FWI more compatible with high-frequency imaging modalities. © 2025 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

Corrosion resistance of titanium(Ti)alloys is closely connected with their microstructure which can be adjusted and controlled via different annealing ***,we systematically investigate the specific effects of annealing on the corrosion performance of Ti-6 Al-3 Nb-2 Zr-1 Mo(Ti80)alloy in 3.5 wt.%NaCl and 5 M HCl solutions,respectively,based on open circuit potential(OCP),potentiodynamic polarization,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),static immersion tests and surface *** indicate that increasing annealing tempe rature endows Ti80 alloy with a higher volume fraction ofβphase and finerαphase,which in turn improves its corrosion *** characterization demonstrates thatβphase is more resistant to corrosion thanαphase owing to a higher content of Nb,Mo,and Zr in the former;additionally,the decreased thickness of a phase alleviates segregation of elements to further restrain the micro-galvanic couple effects betweenαandβ***,the influential mechanisms of environmental conditions on corrosion of Ti80 alloy are discussed in *** the formation of a highly compact and stable oxide film on surface,annealed Ti80 alloys exhibit a low corrosion current density(10^(-6)A/cm^(2))and high polarization impedance(10^(6)Ω·cm^(2))in 3.5 wt.%NaCl ***,they suffer severe corrosion in 5 M HCl solution,resulting from the breakdown of native oxide films(the conversion of TiO_(2)to aqueous Ti^(3+)),active dissolution of substrate Ti to aqueous Ti^(3+)and existence of micro-galvanic couple *** findings could provide new insights to designing Ti alloys with high-corrosion resistance through microstructural optimization.

This study investigates the problem of robust fault diagnosis for discrete-time systems subjected to actuator faults and unknown input disturbances.A novel H-/L unknown input observer（UIO） based on the generalized Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov（GKYP） lemma is presented by decoupling the partial unknown input disturbances and attenuating the unknown input disturbances that cannot be ***,the H-performance index in the finite frequency domain is used to measure the fault sensitivity and the L performance index is used to reduce the influence of unknown input disturbances on fault diagnosis results and ensure the robustness performance.A residual evaluation function and a time-varying threshold are presented based on the L performance *** addition,sufficient conditions for designing the H/L UIO are proposed and transformed into linear matrix inequalities（LMIs） that can be easily ***,simulations of a simple discrete-time system are used to validate the effectiveness of the developed H/L UIO.

Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) poses a significant threat to cardiovascular patients worldwide, underscoring the critical importance of automated CAD diagnostic technologies in clinical practice. Previous technologies for lesion assessment in Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) images have been insufficient in terms of interpretability, resulting in solutions that lack clinical reliability in both network architecture and prediction outcomes, even when diagnoses are accurate. To address the limitation of interpretability, we introduce the Trusted Lesion-Assessment Network (TLA-Net), which provides a clinically reliable solution for multi-view CAD diagnosis: (1) The causality-informed evidence collection constructs a causal graph for the diagnostic process and implements causal interventions, preventing confounders’ interference and enhancing the transparency of the network architecture. (2) The clinically-aligned uncertainty integration hierarchically combines Dirichlet distributions from various views based on clinical priors, offering confidence coefficients for prediction outcomes that align with physicians’ image analysis procedures. Experimental results on a dataset of 2,618 lesions demonstrate that TLA-Net, supported by its interpretable methodological design, exhibits superior performance with outstanding generalization, domain adaptability, and robustness.
