Enhanced UAV Pursuit-Evasion Using Boids Modelling:A Synergistic Integration of Bird Swarm Intelligence and DRL

TheUAV pursuit-evasion problem focuses on the efficient tracking and capture of evading targets using unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),which is pivotal in public safety applications,particularly in scenarios involving intrusion monitoring and *** address the challenges of data acquisition,real-world deployment,and the limited intelligence of existing algorithms in UAV pursuit-evasion tasks,we propose an innovative swarm intelligencebased UAV pursuit-evasion control framework,namely“Boids Model-based DRL Approach for Pursuit and Escape”(Boids-PE),which synergizes the strengths of swarm intelligence from bio-inspired algorithms and deep reinforcement learning(DRL).The Boids model,which simulates collective behavior through three fundamental rules,separation,alignment,and cohesion,is adopted in our *** integrating Boids model with the Apollonian Circles algorithm,significant improvements are achieved in capturing UAVs against simple evasion *** further enhance decision-making precision,we incorporate a DRL algorithm to facilitate more accurate strategic *** also leverage self-play training to continuously optimize the performance of pursuit *** experimental evaluation,we meticulously designed both one-on-one and multi-to-one pursuit-evasion scenarios,customizing the state space,action space,and reward function models for each *** simulations,supported by the PyBullet physics engine,validate the effectiveness of our proposed *** overall results demonstrate that Boids-PE significantly enhance the efficiency and reliability of UAV pursuit-evasion tasks,providing a practical and robust solution for the real-world application of UAV pursuit-evasion missions.

Article propose a hybrid technology of power supply in the electrical interlocking systems development for railway stations. The main feed input is proposed to be carried out from renewable energy sources. Such sources are near the railway track. Redundant power supply should be provided using traditional cable networks with local placement. The article presents the structures of electrical interlocking systems based on hybrid technology. In addition, when supplying power to railway automation and remote control, the power supply must be guaranteed. That is why, at this stage of the transition, it is necessary to maintain redundant cable glands. In the future, a complete transition to energy supply from renewable energy sources is proposed. The authors considered the use of energy sources with solar panels. The following solutions are proposed for organizing the power supply of railway automation and remote-control devices: providing power supply in the yard neck with local power sources - solar panels, linking between wayside device and the signal box using fiber optic cables and radio channels. The main attention is paid to the environmentally friendly energy sources, the wire routing shorts and maintenance. © 2024 IEEE.

Skin cancer is one of the most deadly forms of cancer in the world, causing hundreds of deaths every year. Researchers have been developing various computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) systems to help medical professionals classify the types of skin cancer using different image modalities. In this paper, we propose a model, which combines the outcomes of three separately trained attention-based convolutional neural networks (CNNs) using the Dempster-Shafer theory. The three base learners used in this paper are ResNet50, InceptionResNetV2 and Dense-Net201, each of which is aided by a soft attention module. For evaluating the proposed model, we have considered a publicly accessible skin cancer dataset, called HAM10000. This is a challenging dataset to work with as it is a class imbalanced dataset. Our proposed approach yields an accuracy of 0.932, which is better than many recently published methods found in the literature. In the process of coal mine drilling,controlling the rotary speed is important as it determines the efficiency and safety of *** this paper,a linear extended state observer(LESO)based backstepping controller for rotary speed is proposed,which can overcome the impact of changes in coal seam hardness on rotary ***,the influence of coal seam hardness on the drilling rig’s rotary system is considered for the first time,which is reflected in the numerical variation of load torque,and a dynamic model for the design of rotary speed controller is *** an LESO is designed to observe the load torque,and feedforward compensation is carried out to overcome the influence of coal seam *** on the model of the compensated system,a backstepping method is used to design a controller to achieve tracking control of the rotary ***,the effectiveness of the controller designed in this paper is demonstrated through simulation and field experiments,the steady-state error of the rotary speed in field is 1 r/min,and the overshoot is reduced to 5.8%.This greatly improves the stability and security,which is exactly what the drilling process requires.

For the position regulation problem of six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) industrial robots, a novel bounded finite-time position regulate algorithm is developed and employed to improve the dynamic performance of the industrial robots. First, based on the model feature, a bounded finite-time position regulate law is proposed to overcome input saturation constraints for the considered systems. Rigorous analysis guarantees the finite-time stability of the closed-loop system in the absence of disturbance. Then, to improve the disturbance rejection property of the robot systems in the presence of disturbance, an improved bounded finite-time control law based on the integral terminal sliding mode is constructed. Finally, simulations and experimental results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed bounded control law. © 1982-2012 IEEE.

The article presents methods for calculating the production function based on complex-valued economics. The uniqueness of the work lies in the fact that the production function is presented as a criterion for managing and forecasting heat supply. Data from the boiler plants of the heat supply company in Taldykurgan are used as initial data. As a result of the analysis, it was decided to use the production function of the complex argument, which will increase the number of process indicators and conduct a more complete analysis of the production of thermal energy. © 2023 IEEE.

The shape of the wavefront is important for the most realistic reproduction of the acoustic wave. In acoustics, the wave front (or wave surface) is defined as the totality of points in the space of the propagating medium that have the same instantaneous elongation amplitude. In the ideal case, in a homogeneous and isotropic propagation medium without other disturbances, the wave has a spherical symmetry, i.e. the shape of the wavefront is circular and at large distances from the wave source, due to dispersion, the shape of the wavefront can be considered plan. In practice, however, due to the multiple component harmonics, reflections and possible summations of the primary acoustic wave, the elongation has a non-sinusoidal shape, and the wavefront may have an irregular random shape. Moreover, if the source of the wave or bodies from which it is reflected are in motion, the shape of the wavefront may even be variable in time. The paper presents a method for determining the shape of the wave front of a non-sinusoidal periodic plane acoustic wave, resulting from the addition of several harmonic components, reflected waves, etc. It uses an array of omnidirectional capacitive microphones arranged in line, at equal distances between them. At each of the microphones, the acoustic wave is captured out of phase depending on the position of the microphone in space and the shape of the wave front. These phase shifts placed next to each other give an image of the shape of the wavefront captured by the microphone system. The method presented in this paper reproduces sounds very realistically and can be used in Active Noise Cancel systems, in open spaces, with one or more mobile noise sources. One of the benefits is the increase in hearing comfort in noisy environments. Another is to record sounds with high fidelity. © 2023 IEEE.

ERTMS and ALSN signalling systems are two of the major signalling systems that are under operation in the world. With the introduction of technical specifications for interoperability, ERTMS promises increased passenger and freight attractiveness and seamless cross-border operation. The ERTMS specifications recognise ETCS as a Class A train protection system and other signalling systems in Europe as Class B train protection systems. The specifications further define 'Specific Transmission Modules' (STMs) that enable trains with ETCS onboard to operate in railway lines that are equipped with Class B train protection systems. Although ALSN is classified as a Class B train protection system, ALSN STM is not defined yet. This paper focuses on proposing a novel ALSN STM that enables trains with ETCS onboard to operate in the countries where ALSN trackside is operational. The proposed STM unit is conceptualised as a system architecture, and a new standardised interface is introduced to enable signalling interoperability between ERTMS and ALSN. © 2023 IEEE.

Developing an accurate and reliable anomaly detection model is of great significance for safe operation in the process industry. To minimize false positives, it is crucial to accurately model the intricate topological and nonlinear connections among variables. In this study, a process anomaly detection method based on graph-guided masked autoencoder (GGMAE) is proposed by introducing the concept of the graph to the process industry. GGMAE first constructs a topology graph according to the process flowchart. Then, the patch and mask mechanism forces GGMAE to learn the process intrinsic information to reconstruct the input according to the variable topological relationship and temporal characteristics. Additionally, Kullback-Leibler divergence is used as the loss to ensure that the distribution of input and output is consistent. Experiments on two publicly available anomaly detection benchmarks demonstrate the superiority of GGMAE over existing methods. Visualization of the results demonstrates the physically compliant reconstruction logic. © 2024 The Institution of Chemical Engineers
