Three-dimensional (3D) point cloud registration is a fundamental process in the fields of computer vision and robotics. It enables the alignment and fusion of multiple point cloud datasets acquired from diverse viewpoints or distinct temporal instances. The rapid progress of 3D sensing technologies in 3D LiDAR sensors has led to the widespread availability of point cloud data across various applications, including robotics, autonomous navigation, object recognition, and cultural heritage preservation. Nevertheless, the inherent presence of noise, occlusions, and varying scales within acquired point clouds presents significant challenges in achieving precise registration. In this paper, we proposed a Multi-Level Global Registration algorithm, referred to as MULEG. Geometric features of the points have been extracted using eigenvalue and eigenvector-based multi-level similarity metrics. During pairwise registrations, changing the input point cloud between source and target can impact the registration performance. To address this issue, we introduced a correspondence intersection search mechanism, which effectively overcomes this problem. The similarity percentage metric calculation procedure generates the probability of two correspondence pairs being an exact match. These robust tools enhance the quality of the coarse registration, not only in terms of accuracy but also in terms of time consumption. Finally, the results of the coarse registration are updated in the fine registration step, completing the coarse-to-fine registration pipeline. The contribution of this proposed method lies in the enhancement of coarse registration accuracy, coupled with a reduction in the time required for fine registration. Comprehensive experimentation confirms that the proposed algorithm yields favorable outcomes, encompassing a high rate of successful registration, precise rotation estimation, accurate translation estimation, efficient runtime, and notably, surpasses the capabilities

Internet-of-Things technology (IoTs) have accelerated biosensor applications in all fields. Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP)-based biosensor technologies in conjunction with smartphone detection have been adequate to cover the demands of mobile diagnostics. The ease of use, affordability, portability, high sensitivity, flexibility, and specificity demands of point-of-care detection can be achieved by low-cost electronic components, 3-dimensional printing technologies, capturing images of calorimetrically detected readouts made our system a promising approach for real-time point-of-detection in the field. In this study, we implemented a cloud service to our LAMP-based biosensor. We previously performed bacteria detection using colony-based LAMP device and now distributed the optical readouts of the assay using smartphones. We transferred the obtained image and results of the assays through cloud. Our user-friendly interface simplifies the data processing, it directly digitized the readouts and eliminates the need of data interpretation. © 2022 IEEE.

As aerial robots evolve to perform complex tasks such as manipulation and visual inspection, maintaining the pilot at the center of decision-making is critical for mission safety and leveraging human expertise. A key enabler of this collaboration is reliable video streaming between the robot and the operator. This paper presents a comparative analysis of four video streaming protocols RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol), RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol), SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), and ROSTCP (ROS Transport control Protocol) based on extensive field experiments. The evaluation focuses on CPU usage, network throughput, latency, streaming quality, and packet integrity across varying distances. Tools such as iperf, ping, GStreamer, and Wireshark were employed for detailed performance measurements. Results reveal significant differences: SRT and RTP deliver superior network stability and resilience to packet loss, while RTSP and ROSTCP show advantages in CPU efficiency. These findings provide actionable insights for optimizing video streaming in aerial robotics, emphasizing the trade-offs and advantages of each protocol in real-world scenarios.

The paper presents a study of the effectiveness of software from the point of view of minimizing the energy consumption of microprocessor devices. In this case, the programming of the microcontroller in various programming languages for arithmetic operations, as well as data output through the port, is considered. Electric power steering systems (EPS) are increasingly prevalent in modern vehicles, and over-the-air (OTA) updates offer a convenient method for improving their performance and functionality in the system lifecycle. OTA capability is important to improve control structure with state-of-the-art artificial intelligent (AI) powered novel control algorithms. AI also helps to improve personalized driving characteristics to the best performance. However, OTA capability introduces new security vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of potential attack paths within an OTA-enabled EPS system. Critical components and data flows susceptible to manipulation are identified to manipulation and are explored the potential consequences of successful attacks. Based on this analysis, a security concept is proposed to mitigate these identified risks. Proposed security concepts aim to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the EPS system throughout the OTA update process. This research contributes to the development of secure and reliable OTA updates for electric power steering systems, promoting safety and functionality in modern vehicles with applying ISO 21434 [1] requirements and recommendations.

In personalized medicine applications such as general anesthesia, an individualised pharmacokinetic (PK) model requires to move away from the classical assumption of homogeneous drug mixing in various tissue compartments in the body. By default, these model coefficients are pre-surgery initialized from population based models as a function of age, gender, weight, height, lean body mass and do not include at this moment specific drug diffusion patterns in the fat compartment, whereas various types of fat will induce various time constants in non-lean patients. In this work, the pharmacokinetic compartmental model structure is revisited to account for non-uniform distribution of uptake/clearance time constants in patients as a nonlinear function of body mass index. Simulations are confirming expected patterns of drug distribution in the body and can account for post-anesthesia side effects up to 72 hours. The model is a novel advance in providing the control community with yet increasingly realistic patient models for closed loop control of anesthesia.

This article discusses the causes of pump bracket failure on a truck. The pump bracket attached to the vehicle frame. The bracket model developed in NX CAD. The analysis of the vibration strength calculation of the engine pump installation performed using the ABAQUS software package. Model preparation, and finite-element meshing is performed on the ANSA software product. The calculation carried out taking into account vibration. In this work, the tool HARMONIC RESPONSE and TRANSIENT ANALYSIS used to take into account vibration in modeling. Simulation results show ultimate loads of 10 MPa. A bracket model has been developed that can withstand the loads. In the process of real car operation, some brackets break down. To increase the accuracy of modeling, a block of data of the bracket's natural operating frequencies during the vehicle's movement has been prepared. The acceleration sensor on the bracket takes the data. The real data we get as result of repeated real road tests. The bracket simulated for vibration resistance taking into account natural motions. The simulation results show ultimate loads of 92 MPa. Vibration strength simulations of a pump bracket mounted on a car frame show a nine-fold difference in the stresses generated. The point of stress concentration changes its location. This shows that the natural frequencies of the engine pump in motion superimposed on the frequencies generated when the car is in motion. Resonance occurs as a result. Resonance produces loads that not anticipated in the simulation. In reality, the bracket collapses. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a comparative analysis of the processes occurring in an electrohydraulic servosystem with throttle control operating with different types of controllers, has been made. A data collection and control system based on the universal measuring module Series Data Acquisition NI USB-6215 and Data Acquisition Toolbox TM from Matlab Simulink, is presented. Two types of controls are considered: through a classic PI controller and standard fuzzy control. The methodology for synthesizing the fuzzy control on the basis of the realized PI controller is presented. In addition, a comparison of the quality indicators of the system with the two types of control with continuous PI controller and fuzzy controllers is made, with two input thermals (error and error derivative) and three input thermals (error, first error derivative and output derivative)). © 2021 IEEE.

The essential quality parameter of rolled products is the flatness along the rolled stock length. The profile defects of the rolled stock, produced at the modern plate mill 5000, frequently occur in the course of intense cooling implied by the thermomechanical rolling technology. To eliminate them, the mill lines include cold straightening machines. The authors show typical flatness defects caused by the occurrence of longitudinal, central and edge waves. Further, the paper characterizes a cold straightening machine installed at the mill 5000 and provides the parameters of electric engines of straightening rollers. The key drawback of the design algorithm for electric drives' control is setting engine constant moments regardless of the thickness and character of the defects in the rolled stock processed. This causes overloading of the electric and mechanical systems of certain rollers and unsatisfactory product quality. To eliminate the drawback, the authors developed a method for individual setting of engine moments closely coupled in the course of sheet processing. The authors present a functional block diagram for the control system to implement the method. The rationale is provided for the digital setting of moment controllers switched on the inputs of speed controllers. The authors conducted simulation modelling and comparative analysis of engine speeds and moments at the design and proposed settings. The paper provides the analysis of oscillograms obtained before and after the introduction of the control system developed. Its technical and economic feasibility was confirmed during operation. © 2023 IEEE.

The demand on healthcare is growing as a result of the expanding global population, rising demands for successful treatment, and an underlying improvement in life quality. Consequently, healthcare remains one of the most significant social and economic problems in the world, necessitating the development of new and more sophisticated scientific and technological treatments.E-health services are provided via personalised healthcare systems to meet the medical and support needs of the ageing population. An important development in the Big Data age is the Internet of Things, which facilitates several real-time engineering solutions through improved services. Healthcare systems are now using analytics over IoT data streams as a stream of user data to find new information, forecast rapid recognition, and make decisions on life-threatening situations. In this study, researchers have carried out a thorough review of the hottest recent revolutionary technologies in bespoke healthcare systems, with a focus on hypervisor, cloud infrastructure, big data analytic, the Web of Things, and smartphone apps. In order to make early disease detection and diagnosis possible, it is important to develop a better healthcare system. We have examined these problems and suggested potential solutions while offering secure e-health services. The purpose of this study is to design a smart and secure remote monitoring and warning system using the latest emerging technologies in 21stcentury such as big data analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems. In this study the researchers discussed a detailed research methodology to meet the outcomes of the reerach. All the relevant findings and analysis are explained in descriptive manner.
