For several economical, financial and operational reasons, forecasting energy demand becomes a key instrument in energy system management. This paper develops a natural gas forecasting approach, which consists of two major phases: 1) it classifies the natural gas consumption daily pattern sequences into different groups with similar attributes. 2) the design and training of multiple autoregressive Gaussian Process models phase is carried out using the Algerian natural gas market data together with exogenous inputs consisting in weather (temperature) and calendar (day of the week, hour indicator) factors. The main novelty in this work consists of the investigation of multiple different clustering techniques for better analysis and clustering of natural gas consumption data. The impact of the obtained clusters, by each technique, is then summarized and evaluated with respect to the prediction accuracy.

In this study, a cooperative control problem with obstacle avoidance for a team mobile agent system is investigated. The agents are modelled with double integrator dynamics considering the center coordinates in 2D space. The underlying topology of the focused system is captured by an undirected graph. Firstly, basic consensus controller structures are explained. Then obstacle avoidance problem which is based on collision cone approach is examined. Finally, both controller algorithms are combined and simulated with using second-order agent model. Simulation studies have been conducted with MATLAB program. The obstacle is selected a circle stationary object. The results show that the agents use the collision avoidance algorithm to prevent obstacle and consensus algorithm to reach consensus point after passing the obstacle.

Fog Computing is a recent and compelling paradigm that proposes to run information-processing services at the edge of the network. While interesting standardization efforts are being currently pursued by many organizations, most of them focus on management and orchestration functions and primarily propose the adoption of programming models designed for Cloud applications in the Fog. Instead, Fog Computing applications would significantly benefit from innovative solutions that adopt an "acceptable lossiness" perspective and manage information processing and dissemination in a dynamic and integrated fashion. This paper presents an overview of the opportunities and challenges in Fog Computing application development, proposes an innovative holistic Software Defined Networking (SDN) approach based on an information-centric and value-based service model to support those applications, and presents an overview of the Holistic Analytics and Networking (HAN) SDN architecture that we are developing to realize this ambitious vision.

Cold plasma is a budding technology that can be used as a nonthermal disinfectant and for surface modification which is free of chemicals and is environmentally friendly. The treatment of water with plasma, producing plasma activated water (PAW), generates an acidic condition resulting in the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species (RNS), and creates change in the redox potential as well as conductivity. Consequently, the chemical composition of water and PAW differ from each other and can now be employed as a substitute for disinfection against microbes. The various sources of plasma used for PAW production, its physical and chemical properties and its prospective uses are reviewed in this paper. Particularly, the physiochemical properties of PAW will be discussed in the context of its acidity, conductivity, the amount of ROS and RNS, as well as its redox potential. Since the results are microbial in nature, the microbial disinfection with the use of PAW will also be reviewed. Lastly, the usage of PAW to enhance agricultural methods, such as its effect in plant growth and stimulating seed germination, is also discussed. It can be interpreted that PAW synergistically disinfects food as well as enhances the growth of seedlings. The boost in plant growth conceivably be mainly due to the increase in concentration of nitrate and nitrite ions in PAW. Therefore, in addition to the antimicrobial action of PAW, submerging seedlings in PAW supplements the germination of seeds and plant growth. This could possibly help fight against the drought stress and improve the yield of crops.
