Cardiotocography measures the fetal heart rate in the fetus during pregnancy to ensure physical health because cardiotocography gives data about fetal heart rate and uterine shrinkages which is very beneficial to detect whether the fetus is normal or suspect or *** cardiotocography measures infer wrongly and give wrong predictions because of human *** traditional way of reading the cardiotocography measures is the time taken and belongs to numerous human errors as *** condition is very important to measure at numerous stages and give proper medications to the fetus for its *** the current period Machine learning(ML)is a well-known classification strategy used in the biomedical field on various issues because ML is very fast and gives appropriate results that are better than traditional *** techniques play a pivotal role in detecting fetal disease in its early *** research article uses Federated machine learning(FML)and ML techniques to classify the condition of the *** study proposed a model for the detection of bio-signal cardiotocography that uses FML and ML techniques to train and test the ***,the proposed model of FML used numerous data preprocessing techniques to overcome data deficiency and achieves 99.06%and 0.94%of prediction accuracy and misprediction rate,respectively,and parallel the proposed model applying K-nearest neighbor(KNN)and achieves 82.93%and 17.07%of prediction accuracy and misprediction accuracy,***,by comparing both models FML outperformed the KNN technique and achieved the best and most appropriate prediction results as compared with previous studies the proposed study achieves the best and most accurate results.

Due to the rising need for energy and the tropical location of Sri Lanka, solar power has emerged as an appealing alternative source of electricity in the Sri Lanka. As a direct result of the current state of the economy, we are seeing an ongoing rise in the amount that we are required to pay for power daily. However, the high cost of solar systems continues to be a significant barrier for a significant number of companies and homes. This review article seeks to give a comparison research on identifying necessary difficulties to create low-cost solar systems and yet existing systems for Sri Lanka. The study will be provided as a comparative analysis. The study provides an overview of the previous research that has been conducted on the subject and conducts an analysis of the numerous elements that impact the cost of solar systems. These aspects include the efficiency of solar panels, storage systems, and regulatory laws. Additionally, case studies and actions conducted by a variety of organizations to promote low-cost solar systems in Sri Lanka are analysed and discussed in this study. The conclusions of this review study will give a better knowledge of the required challenges for creating low-cost solar systems in Sri Lanka. This understanding will be beneficial for policymakers, researchers, and enterprises in the energy industry. © 2023 IEEE.

Multimodal attention-driven visual question answering for Malayalam

Visual question answering is a challenging task that necessitates for sophisticated reasoning over the visual elements to provide an accurate answer to a question. Majority of the state-of-the-art VQA models are only applicable to English questions. However, applications such as visual assistance and tourism necessitate the incorporation of multilingual VQA systems. This paper presents an effective deep learning framework for Malayalam visual question answering (MVQA), which can answer a specific natural language question about an image in Malayalam. As there is no available dataset in English–Malayalam VQA, a MVQA dataset was created by translating English question–answer pairs from the visual genome dataset. The paper proposes an attention-driven MVQA model on the developed dataset. The proposed MVQA model uses a deep learning-based co-attention mechanism to jointly learn the attention for images and Malayalam questions. A second-order multimodal factorized high-order pooling is used for multi modal feature fusion. Different VQA models using combinations of classical CNNs and RNNs were experimented on the developed MVQA dataset, and the performance was compared against the proposed attention-driven model. Experimental results show that the proposed attention-driven MVQA model achieves state-of-the-art results as compared to other models for MVQA on the custom Malayalam VQA dataset. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Over the past few years, blockchain technology has gained significant attention. This surge in popularity can be attributed to the emergence of cryptocurrencies and the development of smart contracts. Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that eliminates the problem of double spending. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar, Zcash, Maker, Aave, etc. become popular and are preferred for money transfers. Smart contracts are the next popular technology on the blockchain after cryptocurrency. It can be considered a piece of code that can execute automatically when the predefined conditions are fulfilled. Researchers believe that the potential of blockchain with smart contracts is only in its initial stages and that its true potential has yet to be fully discovered. Hence, an extensive bibliometric analysis is conducted to understand blockchain trends for smart contracts and to give future directions in this field. For this analysis, various steps are followed, starting with formulating the research question, defining the scope of our research, extracting and analyzing data, answering the research question, and finally, drawing a conclusion. The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has dramatically altered Customer Relationship Management (CRM) by allowing organizations to anticipate customer behavior, customize interactions and automate service delivery. This research introduces an extensive AI-based predictive analytics framework aimed at improving customer engagement, retention and satisfaction using advanced Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) methodologies. By using XGBoost for churn prediction and BERT-based models for sentiment analysis, the system efficiently handles both structured and unstructured customer data. The methodology involves sophisticated feature engineering, customer segmentation via K-Means clustering, and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) prediction to aid data-driven business strategies. An NLP-driven chatbot offers real-time, personalized support, response time and improving user experience. Evaluation metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score demonstrate the better performance of the proposed system compared to conventional CRM approaches. This work also addresses important issues such as data privacy compliance, algorithmic bias and explainability of AI decision-making. Ethical deployment and transparency of AI are emphasized for building confidence in automated CRM systems. Future evolution will tackle the use of reinforcement learning to facilitate learning-based interaction schemes and federated learning for trusted, decentralized management of data. This architecture does not only provide better CRM functionality but also builds a platform towards intelligent, responsible and scalable solutions for customer relations across industries. © (2025), (Science and Information Organization). This Early detection of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is critical for improving patient prognosis and survival rates. Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) offers a promising non-invasive diagnostic tool due to its high sensitivity and specificity. In this study, we propose a novel approach combining Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and a one-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (lD CNN) for the detection and differentiation of first stage CCA from precancerous, inflammation, and healthy states using SERS data. Our method is compared with a traditional Principal Component Analysis (PCA) followed by Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification. In contrast, the PCA + SVM method could only differentiate late-stage CCA and healthy states due to the nonlinearity of the SERS dataset. Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis further validates the superior performance of our proposed method. We studied on hamster serum and the concept can be extended to human serum in the near future work. © 2024 IEEE.

Lightweight secure image encryption: a tent map chaos theory approach

In the digital era, securing image data against unauthorized access is a critical challenge, particularly in applications such as cloud storage, IoT security, and medical imaging. This study presents a lightweight and secure image encryption algorithm based on the Tent Map chaotic system, which enhances encryption strength while maintaining computational efficiency. The proposed approach effectively obfuscates image content, achieving a uniform histogram distribution indicative of robust encryption. Comparative analysis with existing methods demonstrates its superiority, particularly in security performance metrics, including entropy (7.996), NPCR (99.65%), and UACI (33.4724%). Additionally, image quality assessments using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) confirm that the algorithm preserves image integrity while ensuring strong encryption. The algorithm’s lightweight nature makes it suitable for large-scale applications, such as real-time encryption in cloud environments, IoT security, and multimedia protection. These results highlight the effectiveness of the proposed method in balancing security, efficiency, and image quality, making it a practical solution for modern image encryption challenges. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Dementia is a neurological disorder that affects a person’s cognitive and social skills, leading to a decline in their overall mental functioning. Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) are two common types of dementia. Frontotemporal dementia mostly affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. These areas are responsible for executive functions, decision-making, language, behavior regulation, and personality traits. Alzheimer’s disease primarily damages the cerebral cortex, which is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as memory, language, and perception. The electroencephalogram (EEG) signal has many advantages in diagnosing these disorders, including low cost and high temporal resolution. This study compares AD and FTD patients with healthy subjects by extracting specific features from EEG signals. Two machine learning algorithms were used for the separation, Support Vector Machines (SVMs) and k-Nearest Neighbors (KNNs), and 10-Fold Cross-Validation was applied to validate the performance of this method and an accuracy of 91.2% (sd = 7.8) was achieved using the SVM classifier for diagnosing the disease and 71.1% (sd = 8.6) for classifying AD and FTD. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

As the primary cause of death globally, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) demand precise and timely prediction to enhance patient outcomes. Other examples of conventional approaches for CVD prediction include statistical models as well as machine learning models such as a single model that often struggle to address complex and comprehensive data from clinical records and Medical Imaging. To address these issues, the concept proposed here is to integrate the medical imaging data with clinical data as new apart from utilizing the hybrid CNN-GRU model to predict cardiovascular diseases with higher accuracy and interpretability. While the GRU module deals with the time sequences of clinical data including past history and other test results, the CNN module is to extract the spatial features from the medical images. Thus, by integrating these modules, it is more accurate to predict the data of the patient as a synergy of spatial and temporal arrangements. Cross-validation techniques and performance indices are used for model training and testing on a diverse data set containing imaging and other clinical-related data. Experimental results depict that the suggested hybrid CNN-GRU model performs much better than the traditional approaches and has higher levels of predicted accuracy and robustness. It is also feasible to generalize this integrated strategy to other medical disorder where multi-modal data analysis is crucial, besides enhancing the capacity to estimate CVDs. The findings underline the importance of integrating doctors' information with radiological images and applying new patterns of neural networks to augmenting clinical judgment. The suggested work is implemented using python. © 2024 IEEE.
