In contemporary medicine,cardiovascular disease is a major public health *** diseases are one of the leading causes of death *** are classiﬁed as vascular,ischemic,or *** information contained in patients’Electronic Health Records(EHR)enables clin-icians to identify and monitor heart *** failure rates have risen drama-tically in recent years as a result of changes in modern *** diseases are becoming more prevalent in today’s medical *** year,a substantial number of people die as a result of cardiac *** primary cause of these deaths is the improper use of pharmaceuticals without the supervision of a physician and the late detection of *** improve the efﬁciency of the classiﬁcation algo-rithms,we construct a data pre-processing stage using feature ***-ments using unidirectional and bidirectional neural network models found that a Deep Learning Modiﬁed Neural Network(DLMNN)model combined with the Pet Dog-Smell Sensing(PD-SS)algorithm predicted the highest classiﬁcation performance on the UCI Machine Learning Heart Disease *** DLMNN-based PDSS achieved an accuracy of 94.21%,an F-score of 92.38%,a recall of 94.62%,and a precision of 93.86%.These results are competitive and promising for a heart disease *** demonstrated that a DLMNN framework based on deep models may be used to solve the categorization problem for an unbalanced heart disease *** proposed approach can result in exceptionally accurate models that can be utilized to analyze and diagnose clinical real-world data.

AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language

In the era of widespread Internet use and extensive social media interaction, the digital realm is accumulating vast amounts of unstructured text data. This unstructured data often contain undesirable information, necessitating time-consuming manual classification efforts. An intelligent text classification system capable of automatically categorizing digitized texts based on semantic meaning is crucial. However, this task is particularly challenging for low-resource languages like Bengali due to a shortage of annotated corpora, issues with out-of-vocabulary words, lack of domain-specific hyperparameter tuning, limited ability to extract generalized text features, and class imbalances within the corpus. AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language. AFuNet undergoes a comprehensive four-phase experimental process, including baseline model evaluation and hyperparameter tuning, late fusion and model selection, attention-based early fusion and model identification, and an ablation study with impact analysis. Fine-tuned based on five Bengali text classification corpora, AFuNet achieves impressive accuracies: 96.60 ± 0.2 (BTCC11), 85.37 ± 0.2 (OSBC), 97.35 ± 0.2 (BARD), 93.74 ± 0.2 (IndicNLP), and 96.51 ± 0.2 (ProthomAlo). In comparison with previous state-of-the-art models on these corpora, AFuNet demonstrates significant accuracy improvements ranging from 0.54% to 4.49%, showcasing its effectiveness in advancing text classification capabilities for the Bengali language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

Blockchain technology gained much traction in the last few years. These decentralized databases offer security, immutability, and scalability across various applications. Decentralized applications generate vast amounts of data, known as events, that are recorded on the blockchain and are public to anyone. Some people may see opportunities for financial gains in these events and would like to know when they occur. This paper proposes a solution to process and deliver those events as real-time alerts to the users. It uses existing technologies such as message queues, multithreading, and asynchronous processing and integrates them into a scalable architecture. The results we achieved in this paper show that for an evenly distributed network traffic, which does not entirely consists of transaction bursts, the proposed solution offers reliability, efficiency, and a suitable delivery time to those wishing to integrate it into their projects. With time, this solution, or improved architectures, may form the basis of the following big-data architectures for processing blockchain events. © 2023 IEEE.

Automatic Term Recognition is used to extract domain-specific terms that belong to a given domain. In order to be accurate, these corpus and language-dependent methods require large volumes of textual data that need to be processed to extract candidate terms that are afterward scored according to a given metric. To improve text preprocessing and candidate terms extraction and scoring, we propose a distributed Spark-based architecture to automatically extract domain-specific terms. The main contributions are as follows: (1) propose a novel distributed automatic domain-specific multi-word term recognition architecture built on top of the Spark ecosystem;(2) perform an in-depth analysis of our architecture in terms of accuracy and scalability;(3) design an easy-to-integrate Python implementation that enables the use of Big Data processing in fields such as Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. We prove empirically the feasibility of our architecture by performing experiments on two real-world datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

Cardiac arrhythmias pose a significant challenge to health care, requiring accurate and reliable detection methods to enable early diagnosis and treatment. However, traditional ECG beat classification methods often lack robustness and fail to generalize effectively to diverse clinical scenarios, particularly when using single-lead-I recordings, which are less studied compared to lead II. To address this gap, this paper proposes a novel method that combines deep learning and empirical mode decomposition (EMD) for arrhythmia detection using single-lead-I ECG recordings obtained with electrodes on each hand. The hybrid model comprises 149 layers of one-dimensional convolution, max pooling, and residual blocks. By leveraging EMD, it classifies ECG beats into normal beats, premature ventricular contractions, and atrial premature beats with high sensitivity (99.86%, 99.72%, and 99.84%, respectively) using the first four intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). The proposed method is applicable in clinical and out-of-hospital monitoring scenarios, and an accompanying web application provides real-time analysis and diagnostic results. This approach addresses a critical gap in lead-I ECG analysis, enhancing diagnostic precision and expanding the scope of ECG applications in health care. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

The current paper proposes a new approach for peripheral speech emotion analysis and gender estimation incorporating the best machine learning architectures such as CNNs and LSTMs. Its correct depiction of emotions and the variation of the gendered speech to indicate manifold signal-to-noise ratio make the approach accommodate the difficulty inherent in recognizing emotions from the recording of voices as well as predicting the gender of a speaker. It is then able to ally with preprocessing and collection of a vast range of different speech samples, feature extraction of pitch, tone and spectral data. These features serve as input to the CNNs and LSTMs: LSTMs work well at temporal regular features and the CNNs work well in feature extraction by location (spatio feature). The approach is tested on the RAVDESS and IEMOCAP datasets and establishes a near perfect match to prior approaches with reference to recognition accuracy of emotion analysis and gender prediction. Thus, applying the identified dual method approach, which could be described by such characteristics as highly accurate data pre-preprocessing, clear indication of the features of interest, a different CNN-LSTM model joint training, it offers a reasonably good platform to gain certain insights into such characteristics of the speech as our experiment demonstrates. This work offers satisfactory configurations on concerns such as human computer relation, customer relation and mental health surveillance to suggest that other applications could be achieved in future. © 2025 IEEE.

There are many difficulties in managing and detecting preterm pregnancies, especially in the early stages. Analyzing electrohysterogram data, which show the electrical activity of uterine muscles, is a promising non-invasive method for classifying term and preterm pregnancies. However, the effectiveness of machine learning classifiers is hampered by the inherent class imbalance in datasets. In order to overcome this constraint, this study uses a Generative Adversarial Network to produce high-quality synthetic EHG data while maintaining the statistical properties of actual signals. By successfully reducing class imbalance, the enhanced dataset makes it possible for machine learning models to be trained with resilience. Real and synthetic features did not differ significantly, according to statistical validation using a t-test (p > 0.05). With this method, the Random Forest classifier obtained a ROC-AUC of 0.99 and a 10-fold cross-validation accuracy of 98%. The suggested GAN-based method’s simplicity and efficacy demonstrate its promise for resolving class imbalance and developing reliable classification systems for diagnostic applications. © 2013 IEEE.

The diagnosis of stomach cancer automatically in digital pathology images is a difficult problem. Gastric cancer (GC) detection and pathological study can be greatly aided by precise region-by-region segmentation. On a technical level, this issue is complicated by the fact that malignant zones might be any size or shape and have fuzzy boundaries. The research employs a deep learning-based approach and integrates many bespoke modules to cope with these issues. The channel refinement model is the attentional actor on the chin channel. While implementing the feature channel, the learnt channel weight can be used to eliminate unnecessary features. Calibration is essential to improve classification precision. The results of channel recalibration can be improved with the help of a re-calibration (MSCR) model. The top pooling layer of the network is where the multiscale attributes are sent. The outcomes of channel recalibration may be enhanced by using the channel weights found at various scales as input to the next channel recalibration perfect. Our unique gastric cancer segmentation dataset, carefully glossed down to the pixel level by medical authorities, is used for extensive experimental comparisons.
