Blockchain technology has revolutionized many sectors in the past few years. From its application in health care, digital currencies to building smart cities, many sectors have incorporated blockchain based mechanisms to produce better and efficient solutions to many of their long-lasting problems. The technology itself is fast and the reliance of some sectors on it has improved the overall performance of the applications. One of the most important and sought after applications of blockchain is in digital currencies. Cryptocurrencies are used in many different areas now a days and have become the go to investment destination for many individuals. Although blockchain is secured but it has many underlying security issues which need to be addressed to make this emerging technique more reliable. One of the issues with blockchain is double spending or 51% attack in which the miners authenticate suspicious transactions which result in heavy loss. In this paper, a new consensus mechanism called Modified Proof of Stake to defy 51% attack in blockchain is proposed. © 2024 IEEE.

The given paper introduces a multi-staged AI-driven intrusion prevention system (IPS) that utilizes mathematical foundations like statistical analysis, probabilistic models, and optimization techniques to design strategic algorithms that recognize patterns as well as detect anomalies & potential attack vectors, which usually get missed out on by traditional security tools. The study focuses on the hybrid behavior that combines supervised and reinforcement learning (RL) methods to provide useful analysis of network traffic, which improves early detection of threats, whether they are known or unknown. This research demonstrates how the proposed AI-driven model can achieve a substantial decrease in the rate of false positives and improve threat detection accuracy. Thus, the given framework acts as a proactive component against today’s evolving cybersecurity threats and hence allows the creation of an efficient and responsive enterprise security framework. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2025.

This research explores the augmentation of Agricultural Internet of Things (IoT) systems through the integration of advanced predictive analytics and reinforcement learning models. A novel algorithm, termed "CropQL,"is proposed to optimize crop yield prediction and resource allocation in precision agriculture. CropQL amalgamates the strengths of the CropNet IoT model with Q-Learning for reinforcement learning and Random Forest for predictive analytics. Simulation analyses are conducted to evaluate the performance of CropQL against established algorithms, employing diverse metrics such as precision, recall, F1 score, and area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC-ROC). The proposed CropQL algorithm exhibits superior predictive accuracy, demonstrating a significant enhancement in crop yield forecasting when compared to baseline algorithms. Precision and recall metrics reveal the algorithm's efficacy in minimizing false positives and negatives, ensuring precision agriculture systems make informed decisions. F1 score indicates the balanced optimization of precision and recall, reinforcing the algorithm's robustness. AUC-ROC analysis further corroborates the superior discriminative power of CropQL in distinguishing between positive and negative instances. In comparison to existing algorithms, including AgriSensNet, PrecisionCropNet, and IoTFarmGuard, CropQL consistently outperforms in predictive accuracy and resource optimization. The simulation results underscore the efficacy of the proposed algorithm in enhancing the efficiency of agricultural IoT systems, providing a promising avenue for sustainable precision farming. © 2024 IEEE.

Graph neural network (GNN) has gained increasing popularity in recent years owing to its capability and flexibility in modeling complex graph structure data. Among all graph learning methods, hypergraph learning is a technique for exploring the implicit higher-order correlations when training the embedding space of the graph. In this article, we propose a hypergraph learning framework named learning from heterogeneity (LFH) that is capable of dynamic hyperedge construction and attentive embedding update utilizing the heterogeneity attributes of the graph. Specifically, in our framework, the high-quality features are first generated by the pairwise fusion strategy that utilizes explicit graph structure information when generating initial node embedding. Afterward, a hypergraph is constructed through the dynamic grouping of implicit hyperedges, followed by the type-specific hypergraph learning process. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed framework, we conduct comprehensive experiments on several popular datasets with twelve state-of-the-art models on both node classification and link prediction tasks, which fall into categories of homogeneous pairwise graph learning, heterogeneous pairwise graph learning, and hypergraph learning. The experimental results demonstrate a significant performance gain (an average of 12.9% in node classification and 12.8% in link prediction) compared with recent state-of-the-art methods. © 2020 IEEE.

computer Vision is a large part of artificial intel-ligence, specifically Optical Character Recognition. OCR helps by processing text and letters into digital content. One use case where Text recognition is not significant is tyre text. One challenge for the tyre text is the contrast between the text and its background. Using pre-trained text region detection and recognition models, this paper aims to recognize text using several models. Textsnake and CRAFT are used for text region detection, while ABINet, ASTER, and MORANv2 are used for text recognition. Results show Textsnake and ABINet to be the best. It was found that CRAFT had more correct detections by 5% on raw images and 1% on preprocessed images, but Textsnake was better for phrases and finding regions. As for Text recognition, it was observed that ABINet is better overall, with an accuracy of 40%, whilst ASTER is at 33%. Despite MORANv2 being the fastest by 25x, it was very inaccurate. In the end, using Textsnake and ABINet is the best out of all. © 2024 IEEE.

This study models the dynamics of ATP depletion and reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation in cardiac muscle cells under the influence of solar proton flux (SPF), focusing on both healthy individuals and heart disease patients. Using differential equations, the concentrations of ATP and ROS were simulated over a 24-hour period. In healthy individuals, ATP levels gradually decreased due to ROS-induced damage, with ROS concentrations peaking at the end of the 24-hour period. In contrast, heart disease patients, who started with lower ATP levels, experienced a faster depletion of ATP and a more rapid increase in ROS, indicating higher oxidative stress. These results demonstrated that solar proton flux exacerbates oxidative damage in cardiac cells. This effect is particularly pronounced in individuals with pre-existing heart conditions. This may link to another theory explaining Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death Syndrome (SUNDS) in Thailand. The study provides valuable insights into the potential effects of solar activity on heart health - especially in those with cardiovascular diseases. It also underscores the importance of maintaining ATP homeostasis in cardiac cells and calls for further research on therapeutic strategies to mitigate oxidative damage in the future. © 2025 IEEE.

In Mobile sensor Networks, Each and every wireless node dynamically changes its location due to its mobility nature. The routing information is maintained by the master node to deliver a data packet from source to destination. The attackers easily hack this wireless network. The performance of the complete networks is dropped by packets transmission attacks. Attacker node drops the packet. An enhanced protection technique in response to packets transmission misbehaviour attacks is provided to increase the energy efficiency of mobile nodes. This paper proposed the Cryptographic formed Malicious Node Detection and Secure Routing framework (CMNDSR). This model incorporates three various strategies specially algorithm for control of access, to protects initial illegal node in the network. The suspected identification and prevention techniques based on hop count value. Secure routing method with a private key generated at random like one time password (OTP). The proposed methods are power efficient, by operating a minimum number of nodes in challenging environment. The misbehaviour nodes are promptly identified and isolated using this proposed approach. The Cryptographic based Secure routing algorithm is applied to provide secure transmission in wireless networking environment. The outcomes of the simulation display how effectively the recommended approach can identify malicious nodes in a MANET. In comparison with previous methods, the energy consumption is 10% lower and the suspicious node detection rate is increased by 95%. © 2024 IEEE.

Understanding human personality traits is significant as it helps in decision making related to consumers’ behavior, career counselling, team building and top candidates’ selection for recruitment. Among various traits, openness is essential as it shows both diverse aspects of sensitive nature or intuitive nature. The individuals having a sensing nature tends to be more practical and prefer to focus on concrete information whereas the users having intuitive trait type is characterized by a focus on abstract ideas, creative thinking and future-oriented perspectives. In this research work, we aim to explore diverse natural language processing (NLP) based features and apply state of the art deep learning algorithms for openness trait prediction. Using standard Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) dataset, we propose the use of the latest deep features of sentence embeddings which captures contextual semantics of the content to be used with deep learning models. For comparison, we explore textual features of Frequency-Inverse Document (TF-IDF) and parts of speech (POS) tagging with machine learning models and deep features of word2vec and global vectors for word representation (GloVe) with deep learning models. The comprehensive empirical analysis reveals that TF-IDF used with gradient boosting achieves high accuracy of 90% whereas, the deep feature of sentence embeddings when used and with deep model bidirectional long short-term memory (Bi-LSTM) achieves 90.5% accuracy. The best results have been achieved using the latest Transformer-based DistilBERT, which achieves the highest accuracy of 92% outperforming the existing studies in relevant literature. Iris segmentation and localization in unconstrained environments are challenging due to long distances, illumination variations, limited user cooperation, and moving subjects. Some existing methods in the literature have somehow mitigated some of the above-mentioned issues. In this paper, motivated by these weaknesses, we propose a framework that employs a deep neural network-based approach to iris segmentation and localization. The proposed framework is based on a U-Net architecture initialized with a pre-trained MobileNetV2 model. In addition, to better study the detectors in iris recognition scenarios, we have collected 1000 images. The provided dataset (KartalOl) is made publicly available for the research community. In the proposed framework, to have better generalization, we fine-tuned the MobileNetV2 model on the provided data for NIR-ISL 2021 from the CASIA-Iris-Asia, CASIA-Iris-M1, and CASIA-Iris-Africa and our dataset. Likewise, data augmentation techniques are applied on images. We chose the binarization threshold for the binary masks by iterating over the images in the provided dataset. The proposed framework is trained and tested in CASIA-Iris-Asia, CASIA-Iris-M1, and CASIA-Iris-Africa, along with the KartalOl dataset. The experimental results highlight that our method surpasses state-of-the-art methods on mobile-based benchmarks.
