In the digital era, data communication security is one of the main challenges. This research proposes a new method for secure image communication, which is a mixed triple logistic map and BB84 quantum key distribution. This approach combines the strengths of classical and quantum cryptographic systems to improve security. BB84 quantum key distribution protocol for securely distributing encryption keys. The resulting key is then processed into a hash value using the SHA-256 algorithm. These hash values are converted into ASCII values, which are used to generate three key sequences using the modified logistic map. The three key sequences are combined to form a keystream used in image encryption. Several security metrics are used to evaluate encryption security, including entropy, the Chi-Square test, and pixel correlation. The analysis results show that the encrypted image has an entropy close to eight. In addition, all chi-square values smaller than 293 indicate a uniform distribution. The correlation of nearby pixels in the encrypted image is also very low, where all values are less than 0.01, which indicates the loss of local patterns in the encrypted image. These results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively secures image communications, providing high security and resistance to conventional and quantum cryptographic attacks. © 2024 IEEE.

This research introduces cloud-powered virtual doctor robots to improve elderly care and chronic illness management. This system uses recurrent neural networks (RNNs) to give personalized medical care to elderly chronic disease patients. These virtual doctor robots may integrate with cloud computing infrastructure to access huge medical databases for real-time patient data analysis and individualized treatment and care suggestions. Healthcare technology has advanced by using RNNs to learn from patient data, adapt to changing health situations, and predict prospective health issues. RNNs can interpret sequential data, thus virtual doctor robots may identify trends in patient health parameters, forecast illness development, and suggest risk mitigation strategies. Cloud-powered virtual doctor robots provide a scalable solution to conventional healthcare systems rising issues. These robots can work effectively in resource-constrained areas by offloading computational chores to distant servers, providing continuous medical expertise and lowering healthcare staff reliance. This technique might improve aged care and reduce load on overworked healthcare systems. Using proactive monitoring, timely intervention, and personalized guidance, virtual doctor robots with RNNs can improve health outcomes, empower patients to manage chronic conditions, and create a more sustainable healthcare model. © 2024 IEEE.

Natural disasters can be unpredictable and catastrophic. Even after the event, the repercussions are prolonged due to the incompetence of disaster management strategies. To mitigate the effects of a natural hazard, disaster management teams have to rapidly come forth with innovative plans of action. To contain the damage that a disaster causes, the response time, and preparedness of a disaster management team is crucial. Having a forewarning about the nature of the disaster can prove to be beneficial for the management team. Remote/unreachable areas such as deep parts of the forests, far-flung rural areas, oceans and other hard to reach locations are at a higher risk of receiving poorer aid and response due to the lack of communication and connectivity with the rest of the world. Our paper provides a solution for this particular problem by suggesting UAV/Drones for surveillance and monitoring in these inaccessible, disaster struck areas. The drones not only monitor the situation but constantly click pictures and send them to a base station, where the images are used to collect insights about the type of disaster that has to be dealt with. The paper proposes a deep learning model based on feature concatenation for classification of disasters which can be deployed at the base station, and can receive data in the form of images from a UAV/drone hovering over the affected place. The proposed model is efficient and able to achieve a higher accuracy as compared to the leading CNN models and closely related recent works as well. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Breast cancer continues to be a pressing global health concern, emphasizing the essential need for effective diagnostic techniques. Automated Breast Ultrasound Systems (ABUS) provide a promising advance in breast tumor detection, yet they require significant expertise in interpreting 3D ABUS images, a task fraught with distinctive challenges. Although Vision Transformers (ViT) display remarkable potential for image processing, their low inductive bias and significant data requirements pose obstacles, particularly in the data-constrained medical field. To mitigate these issues, we introduce a Mask-Recover strategy for pretraining Transformer models on 3D ABUS images, enhancing model adaptability and reducing the data demands of the ViT model. Moreover, recognizing the risk that ViTs' average pooling approach may unintentionally mask small but vital features, we propose Dual-CapsViT, an inventive model combining Transformers and Capsule Networks. This integration affords efficient token routing while preserving fine-grained details. To reconcile potential inconsistencies between capsules and tokens, we engineer a novel dual-channel routing algorithm, strengthening the decoder's performance. We benchmarked our models against well-known standards such as ResNet and ViT for classifying breast tumors in ABUS images. Our models exhibited superior performance, as evidenced by improved accuracy, specificity, and Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC) metrics, thereby affirming Dual-CapsViT's potential to enhance breast cancer diagnostics. © 2023 IEEE.

Phishing attacks present a serious threat to enterprise systems,requiring advanced detection techniques to protect sensitive *** study introduces a phishing email detection framework that combines Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT)for feature extraction and CNN for classification,specifically designed for enterprise information ***’s linguistic capabilities are used to extract key features from email content,which are then processed by a convolutional neural network(CNN)model optimized for phishing *** an accuracy of 97.5%,our proposed model demonstrates strong proficiency in identifying phishing *** approach represents a significant advancement in applying deep learning to cybersecurity,setting a new benchmark for email security by effectively addressing the increasing complexity of phishing attacks.

In Sri Lanka, sea cucumbers are a highly sought-after marine product that is traded abroad. It has gained significant attention in recent years due to its high demand in the seafood market and its medicinal properties. Yet, the Sri Lankan Sea cucumber industry has not been able to fully realize its potential due to barriers like inaccurate methods for identifying and predicting the quality of sea cucumber species and the inability to provide a proper market value. This study offers an innovative solution that automates the evaluation and classification of sea cucumbers utilizing advanced computer vision and machine learning approaches. The proposed analyzer incorporates a multi-step approach, including image preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification. A set of preprocessed images are used to extract textural and distinguished color-based characteristics. These characteristics are then used to accurately classify sea cucumber species and grade them according to quality criteria using a machine learning algorithm. This project introduces a novel approach to analyzing sea cucumber length to calculate the price using a mobile application, making the task more efficient and accessible. The proposed solution 'Sea Cense' comprises 4 models that are developed using the CNN algorithm. These models' experimental findings demonstrated accuracy levels exceeding 85%. © 2023 IEEE.
