Diffuse horizontal irradiance (DHI) forecasts are critical for adopting solar photovoltaic technology. Yet, they can lack reliability given the limited and uncertain meteorological data available for desert areas. This research develops a new sine cosine dipper throated optimization (SCDTO) technique, targeting DHI prediction even given such data constraints. SCDTO uniquely hybridizes sine cosine metaheuristics, adept at exploration, with dipper throat optimization, providing focused exploitation. This hybridization aims to create a robust ensemble model capable of delivering reliable DHI predictions despite climatic uncertainty. The ensemble model, employing various input combinations, was rigorously evaluated across multiple meteorological stations. The SCDTO algorithm exhibited remarkable performance improvements, yielding substantial reductions exceeding 93% in root mean squared error and 98% in mean absolute error at key stations in Morocco, including Tan-Tan, Zagora, Erfoud, and Oujda. Comparative analyses against established optimization algorithms consistently underscored the superior predictive capabilities of SCDTO. Visualizations, including box plots and histograms, demonstrated SCDTO’s efficacy in minimizing prediction errors, particularly for Tan-Tan, Zagora, and Erfoud stations. Also, statistical validation through one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) further affirmed the significance of the proposed SCDTO method. Therefore, this hybrid metaheuristic optimization enables more accurate DHI predictions from limited meteorological data. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

Identifying suspicious activities or behaviors is essential in the domain of Anomaly Detection (AD). In crowded scenes, the presence of inter-object occlusions often complicates the detection of such behaviors. Therefore, developing a robust method capable of accurately detecting and locating anomalous activities within video sequences becomes crucial, especially in densely populated environments. This research initiative aims to address this challenge by proposing a novel approach focusing on AD behaviors in crowded settings. By leveraging a spatio-temporal method, the proposed approach harnesses the power of both spatial and temporal dimensions. This enables the method to effectively capture and analyze the intricate motion patterns and spatial information embedded within the continuous frames of video data. The objective is to create a comprehensive model that can efficiently detect and precisely locate anomalies within complex video sequences, specifically those featuring human crowds. The efficacy of the proposed model will be rigorously evaluated using a benchmark dataset encompassing diverse scenarios involving crowded environments. The dataset is designed to simulate real-world conditions where millions of video footage need to be continuously monitored in real time. The focus is on identifying anomalies, which might occur within short time frames, sometimes as brief as five minutes or even less. Given the challenges posed by the massive volume of data and the requirement for rapid AD, the research emphasizes the limitations of traditional Supervised Learning (SL) methods in this context. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper developed a new model called Single Rule Random Forest (SrRF) that enhances the performance of the Fandom Forest technique(RF)and reduces its rules, then compared the performance of this model with a set of ML models as follows (DT, RF, GPT) of the datasets provided by the Tax Authority of Yemen which consists of 1083 records using two values for k in K-Fold Cross Validation). The results showed that by using the value k=10, the GPT Classifier gave the highest result of 100 % but this result will cause overfitting, then the SRI-RF Classifier gave the best result with 99.89%, while RF gave the worst result. By using the value k=5, the GPT Classifier also gave the highest result of 100 % but this result also caused overfitting, then the SrRF Classifier gave the best result, while RF gave the worst result. From the above, the researchers also note that training the data using K-fold cross-validation with the value K=10 gave better results. On the other side, our proposed model SRIRF with the value of k=10 gave the best result. © 2024 IEEE.

Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) transfusion has shown promising results in treating COVID-19 cases despite the limited availability of these MSCs. The task of prioritizing COVID-19 patients for MSC transfusion based on multiple criteria is considered a multi-Attribute decision-Analysis (MADA) problem. Although literature reviews have assessed the prioritization of COVID-19 patients for MSCs, issues arising from imprecise, unclear and ambiguous information remain unresolved. Compared with the existing MADA methods, the robustness of the fuzzy decision by opinion score method (FDOSM) and fuzzy-weighted zero inconsistency (FWZIC) is proven. This study adopts and integrates FDOSM and FWZIC in a homogeneous Fermatean fuzzy environment for criterion weighting followed by the prioritization of the most eligible COVID-19 patients for MSC transfusion. The research methodology had two phases. The decision matrices of three COVID-19 emergency levels (moderate, severe, and critical) were adopted based on an augmented dataset of 60 patients and discussed in the first phase. The second phase was divided into two subsections. The first section developed Fermatean FWZIC (F-FWZIC) to weigh criteria across each emergency level of COVID-19 patients. These weights were fed to the second section on adopting Fermatean FDOSM (F-FDOSM) for the purpose of prioritizing COVID-19 patients who are the most eligible to receive MSCs. Three methods were used in evaluating the proposed works, and the results included systematic ranking, sensitivity analysis, and benchmarking checklist. © 2024 World Scientific Publishing Company.

The shift towards the renewable energy market for carbon-neutral power generation has encouraged different governments to come up with a plan of *** with the endorsement of renewable energy for harsh environmental conditions like sand dust and snow,monitoring and maintenance are a few of the prime *** problems were addressed widely in the literature,but most of the research has drawbacks due to long detection time,and high misclassification *** to overcome these drawbacks,and to develop an accurate monitoring approach,this paper is motivated toward the understanding of primary failure concerning a grid-connected photovoltaic(PV)system and highlighted along with a brief overview on existing fault detection *** on the drawback a data-driven machine learning approach has been used for the identification of fault and indicating the maintenance unit regarding the operation and maintenance ***,the system was tested with a 4 kWp grid-connected PV system,and a decision tree-based algorithm was developed for the identification of a *** results identified 94.7%training accuracy and 14000 observations/sec prediction speed for the trained classifier and improved the reliability of fault detection nature of the grid-connected PV operation.

Indeed, successful phishing website attempts could result in catastrophic data loss, login credential compromise, ransomware infection, and financial loss. It also significantly hampers the competitiveness and productivity of online users and internet-dependent organizations unless an intelligent anti-phishing solution is devised. Due to detecting fresh phishing website attacks with maximum accuracy by discovering hidden patterns from complex datasets is shown to be an intrinsic property of M- Learning approaches, the study conducted rigorous experiments on four purposely selected efficient supervised M-Learning algorithms before and after applying five widely used proper feature selection techniques such as Recursive Feature Elimination, Pierson Correlation Coefficient, Principal Component Analysis, Uni-variate Feature Selection, and Mutual Information. The proposed study was conducted to balance the research gaps and scientific disputes in the rigorously reviewed studies. The study’s final outcome is a proposal for an intelligent phishing website model that yields higher accuracy, faster response times, and fewer average misclassification rates. The study also explored the feature selection techniques that had more, less, and no contributions to enhancing each classifier's accuracy. As compared to the remaining classifiers, the Cat-Boost Classifier attained superior phishing website detection accuracy (97.46%), F1-score (97.49%), a lower average misclassification rate (2.54%), and acceptable train-test computational time (7 s) after using the UFS technique. On the other hand, the PCA technique failed to enhance the accuracy of the Cat-Boost, Gradient-Boost, and Random Forest Classifiers due to scoring less accuracy than the accuracy reached before using proper feature selection techniques. The market of Medical Devices has an annual growth rate perspective of 5.4% in the 2022 - 2028 period. The growth rate is mainly supported by the increased usage of devices for chronic diseases prevention and for remote patient monitoring. The growth rate is also supported by the population's appetite for mobile devices. The continuously growing number of mobile devices has led to an increase in the number of cyber-attacks against them. Twister2 is an open-source big data hosting environment designed to process both batch and streaming data at scale. Twister2 runs jobs in both high-performance computing (HPC) and big data clusters. It provides a cross-platform resource scheduler to run jobs in diverse environments. Twister2 is designed with a layered architecture to support various clusters and big data problems. In this paper, we present the cross-platform resource scheduler of Twister2. We identify required services and explain implementation details. We present job startup delays for single jobs and multiple concurrent jobs in Kubernetes and OpenMPI clusters. We compare job startup delays for Twister2 and Spark at a Kubernetes cluster. In addition, we compare the performance of terasort algorithm on Kubernetes and bare metal clusters at AWS cloud. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
