To enhance the generalization of multi-objective feature selection (MOFS) in classification, this paper proposes an evolutionary multitasking algorithm, diverging from previous approaches that exclusively target selected features. The algorithm integrates information from both selected and unselected features, introducing a novel objective to minimize the accuracy of unselected features. This objective, combined with the goal of minimizing classification errors for selected features, forms an auxiliary MOFS task. The paper presents a dual-population evolutionary multitasking framework that synergizes the main MOFS task with the auxiliary task. A knowledge transfer mechanism, based on accuracy preferences, seamlessly shares insights from the auxiliary to the main task, aiming to identify improved Pareto feature subsets. Empirical results demonstrate the superior performance of several state-of-the-art multi-objective algorithms within this framework, highlighting significant improvements across diverse datasets. © 2024 IEEE.

Moving target defense (MTD) is a promising approach to defend against load redistribution attacks on the internet-of-things (IoT)-based smart grid networks by probing the distorted state estimates with the distributed flexible AC transmission system. However, existing studies mainly focus on optimizing the performance of MTD and ignore the safety effect of it on the system’s operation. In this paper, we fill this gap by deeply analyzing the effect of MTD on the small signal stability and aim to alleviate the negative impact and guarantee its defending performance simultaneously. Firstly, the stability is formally described using the eigenvalue sensitivity. The relationship between the MTD-induced perturbation (MTDper) and the stability criteria is derived. Secondly, a new indicator is proposed to measure the effectiveness of MTDper. Thirdly, a constrained optimization problem is formulated to compute the bound of MTDper for guaranteeing the small signal stability. In addition, a surprising finding is that the stability margin can be improved and enhanced by optimizing the value of MTDper without losing the MTD’s effectiveness. Finally, we evaluate the performance of MTDper and its impact on the small signal stability with extensive simulations on the IEEE 30-bus, 39-bus, and 68-bus test power systems. © 2014 IEEE.

This research focuses on enhancing the spectral efficiency of 5G networks through the utilization of nonlinear stochastic precoding techniques. The proposed approach aims to mitigate the detrimental effects of channel impairments and noise by employing advanced precoding schemes that exploit the statistical properties of the wireless channel. By incorporating nonlinear precoding algorithms and stochastic optimization methods, the system can dynamically adapt to varying channel conditions, resulting in improved data transmission rates and overall spectral efficiency. Through extensive simulations and analysis, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated, showcasing its potential to significantly enhance the performance of 5G networks in real-world scenarios. © 2024 IEEE.

Face recognition (FR) technology has numerous applications in artificial intelligence including biometrics, security,authentication, law enforcement, and surveillance. Deep learning (DL) models, notably convolutional neuralnetworks (CNNs), have shown promising results in the field of FR. However CNNs are easily fooled since theydo not encode position and orientation correlations between features. Hinton et al. envisioned Capsule Networksas a more robust design capable of retaining pose information and spatial correlations to recognize objects morelike the brain does. Lower-level capsules hold 8-dimensional vectors of attributes like position, hue, texture, andso on, which are routed to higher-level capsules via a new routing by agreement algorithm. This provides capsulenetworks with viewpoint invariance, which has previously evaded CNNs. This research presents a FR model basedon capsule networks that was tested using the LFW dataset, COMSATS face dataset, and own acquired photos usingcameras measuring 128 × 128 pixels, 40 × 40 pixels, and 30 × 30 pixels. The trained model outperforms state-ofthe-art algorithms, achieving 95.82% test accuracy and performing well on unseen faces that have been blurred orrotated. Additionally, the suggested model outperformed the recently released approaches on the COMSATS facedataset, achieving a high accuracy of 92.47%. Based on the results of this research as well as previous results, capsulenetworks perform better than deeper CNNs on unobserved altered data because of their special equivarianceproperties.

Social networking sites have come into demand as a way of sharing ideas and opinions with other people. But unfortunately, people tend to misuse social media to write nasty comments. Victims' lives might be negatively impacted by behaviours that are abusive and humiliating. Social networks give people a great tool to share information on ideas on multiple topics and opinions. However, these platforms are often abused to announce toxic and offensive comments, which eventually negatively affect victims and demographics. This study offers a thorough method for identifying hate speech (HS) on social media by utilising cutting-edge ML algorithms. A publicly available Twitter dataset containing 159,571 tweets classified into six categories, including toxic and identity hatred, was utilised. The methodology comprises data collection, conditioning, and categorisation that employs BiLSTM, which is particularly appropriate for the tasks demanding contextual sensitivity. These operations include symbol removing, stemming and stop-word eliminating, feature extraction using TF-IDF, and using the Bag-of-Words model. For classification of the data between hate and non-hate, the dataset is then split into training and testing datasets and the BiLSTM model used to provide classifications for the text. The evaluation of the BiLSTM model demonstrates superior performance, achieving an accuracy86%, a precision90%, a recall86%, and an F1-score88% • A comparison between the model and other models such as SVM and CNN reveals the strength of the BiLSTM in contextual classification tasks. The results demonstrate that BiLSTM can tackle problems with hate speech detection, providing a strong answer to the problem of harmful content on social media and helping to make the internet a better place for everyone. © 2025 IEEE.

To serve the numerous services, today's wireless communication devices require microwave network systems with multiband and multifunctional capabilities. A growing number of microwave circuits and parts that can handle several frequency bands and larger bandwidths are needed to support the unprecedented systems. The issues in EMI/EMC have grown as a result of research and advances in contemporary wireless network communication equipment. Generally speaking, there are several ways to reduce different EMI issues. Therefore, the necessary tunable and downsized components are required to make these systems smaller, lighter, and less expensive. Most studies on emission measurements have been done in the time domain recently and one of the widely used techniques is the creation of EMI band pass filters. This article presents band pass filters with HIDDS (Hybrid Inter Digital Defected Ground Structure). Additionally, a number of uses for the hybrid S-parameters are provided by fusing Agilent ADS circuit tool and full-wave EM solvers. To provide a complete EM response of the filter construction, 3D EM simulations are performed. The analysis of the simulated findings with the results of previous experiments has revealed that HIDDS (Hybrid Inter Digital Defected ground Structure) provides minimal insertion loss and a larger range of stop band frequencies. Therefore, wireless systems might benefit from the band pass filters with HIDDS that have been proposed. © 2023 IEEE.

In today's world, a huge amount of data and information is transferred through wireless networks. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a complex network that consists of diverse sensors, devices, and things, which often have limited resources and are susceptible to various security threats, including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. These networks are vulnerable to a variety of cyber threats and privacy issues. Intrusions are harmful activities that can damage a network. IoT networks are particularly vulnerable to security threats. The Bi-Layer Intrusion Detection Model (BIDM) identifies intrusions based on the optimal features selected in the Optimal Feature Vector Selection (OFVS) phase. This scheme not only prevents attacks, but also serves as a defense against legitimate threats. The proposed technique was evaluated using the KDD CUP 99 dataset, a well-known Intrusion Detection system (IDS) benchmark. The performance of the proposed scheme was further analyzed using the NSL-KDD and CICIDS-2017 datasets. The performance of OFVS was also investigated using the relatively new IoT Network Intrusion dataset. The implementation was carried out in Jupyter Notebook using the Python programming language. Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy were some of the packages used in the implementation. The proposed framework achieved high accuracy rates, with NB at 97.4%, SVM at 96.1%, and DT at 98.1%. By utilizing this approach, the security of IoT networks can be significantly enhanced, and the risks associated with DDoS attacks can be mitigated. © 2023 IEEE.

One of the fastest-growing subfields of computer vision and picture categorization is fruit identification. The fruit industry could start using a standardised categorization system so that shoppers can easily distinguish between different types and quality levels of fruit. From a health perspective, fruit quality is essential. The task of classifying fruits is crucial in many commercial contexts. A supermarket cashier may use a fruit categorization system to better recognise the varieties of fruit and their associated costs. It might also be used to determine whether or not a given kind of fruit is suitable for a person's diet. The rising use of intelligent imaging equipment may be directly attributed to the proliferation and development of AI software. Deep learning methods, such as CNN, are now being used by researchers for picture categorization. CNN's superior performance may be achieved without using any manually-crafted characteristics, in contrast to the older methods. For automated categorization, it employs a plethora of filters that strip relevant visual information. Classifying fruits accurately is a challenge in the horticulture sector and calls for the knowledge of an expert. For accurately and quantitatively analysing fruits, the currently mentioned categorization techniques fall short. Therefore, it is beneficial to review the latest suggestions for categorizing fruits. To solve this problem, we need a computerised system that can automatically sort fruits into their respective categories. Deep learning models, such as the Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM) and the Adam based Deep Belief Network (DBN), are used in this assignment to categorise fruits according to the attributes that have been determined to be optimum and generated. The proposed approach has been shown to have effective accuracy and quantitative analysis outcomes, and this is just the beginning of this realisation. Industrial Internet of Things can improve critical infrastructure in energy, transportation, and manufacturing. However, IIoT device and system integration opened security weaknesses that bad actors may exploit, causing huge disruptions and financial losses. IoT network security and privacy must be prioritized to protect key infrastructure. IIoT security issues and solutions are examined in this research. First, we take a look at the state of security and the unique risks that industrial IoT devices are up against, including hacking, illegal access, and cyber-physical assaults. Then, to lessen the impact of these dangers, we investigate cutting-edge security solutions, such as authentication, encryption, and access control systems. Building a robust security architecture specifically for IIoT applications is one of the main goals of the project. To improve safety and anonymity, this system uses cutting-edge innovation like blockchain, AI, and edge computing. We also talk about how privacy-preserving methods like differential privacy and anonymization are important for keeping sensitive information safe while allowing data sharing for analysis and operations. We assess the efficacy of the suggested security protocols and procedures using a battery of case studies and simulations. Reducing the attack surface and improving the resilience of IIoT systems can be achieved by a multi-layered security approach that includes effective privacy protections. We conclude by outlining our research's larger implications, which include the importance of standardization, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration in ensuring the safe and privacy-protecting deployment of IIoT technologies in vital infrastructure. Protecting vital infrastructure from cyber threats is our ultimate goal, and our work helps build IIoT systems that are more secure and dependable. © 2024 IEEE.
