Smart home technology has made daily life easier, automated, and managed. IoT devices like smart speakers, cameras, thermostats, and security systems are increasingly integrated, raising security and privacy concerns. This study examines smart home devices’ energy consumption, use trends, device failures, and system efficiency. This research uses smart home devices to identify consumption trends and risks. To better understand smart home ecosystems, the study will evaluate energy consumption, device usage hours, and malfunctions that can affect functionality and security. Using predictive analytics and machine learning, the researchers predict excessive energy usage and device problems. These methods identify trends and irregularities in smart home device operation to improve performance, efficiency, and security. This study investigates how user decisions, usage hours, and device age affect energy consumption, as well as how to identify optimization opportunities. The data analysis study contains statistical summaries and visualisations of device type, usage hours, energy consumption, user preferences, malfunction incidents, and device age. Machine learning algorithms such as linear regression and anomaly detection predict energy usage and locate anomalies. The data illustrate energy and device efficiency trends and recommend improvements to smart home security and effectiveness. This study addresses smart home device vulnerabilities and inefficiencies to improve smart home system optimization. The results offer smart home technology manufacturers and customers ways to improve energy efficiency, device performance, and system security.

The electroencephalogram (EEG) serves as a significant tool in the realms of clinical medicine, cerebral investigation, and neurological disorders research. However, the EEG records we obtain are often easily contaminated by various artifacts, which can blur or distort the underlying EEG signals and make data interpretation difficult. Generally speaking, removing EEG artifacts is considered an essential step in brain signal analysis. Therefore, removing artifacts is crucial for obtaining accurate and reliable EEG signals for subsequent analysis. Recently, deep learning techniques have found widespread application across various domains for denoising tasks, including image denoising and EEG denoising. Many advanced algorithms have been developed in image denoising, which has achieved good results in enhancing low-quality images. Moreover, it has shown superior performance in EEG denoising. In contrast, few people have devoted themselves to studying EEG denoising, and existing convolutional neural network EEG denoising methods still have problems of overfitting and poor denoising effect in Electromyograph(EMG) and ElectroOculoGram(EOG) artifact removal. Therefore, this paper proposes a method called DWINet (De-artifacting with Image-based Network for EEG Signals) based on an image dehazing network DRHNet for removing artifacts from EEG signals. Specifically, our approach DWINet, addresses the de-artifacting issue in EEG signals by converting it as an image dehazing problem and utilizes the image dehazing capability of DRHNet to enhance the denoising performance of EEG signals. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the compared algorithms in removing the ocular artifact in EEG signals and exhibits higher accuracy and robustness. © 2024, J. The existing text-to-image generation methods based on stable diffusion yield better results in low-semantic prompt but often neglect the generation quality of high-semantic prompt such as emotional vocabulary, resulting in poor emotional image generation. In order to address this issue, we propose a novel approach called Sal-Guide Diffusion, which leverages saliency maps to guide emotional image generation with the goal of producing superior emotionally expressive images. In order to let the saliency maps guide the diffusion process, we introduce a lightweight adapter to extract emotional information from saliency maps and incorporate it into the diffusion process. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method generates higher-quality images across eight emotional dimensions, excelling in both generalization, emotional congruence, and subjective preference compared to stable diffusion or similar methods.

In general, the innovative foods produced on fruit and vegetable based farms are always high quality and healthy. Indicators of fruit and vegetable consumption include plasma vitamin C and arytenoids, which are plant pigments discovered in blood samples. The researchers decided to utilize blood samples rather than the more common food frequency questionnaire in their investigation. to assess the amount of food consumed in order to forestall measuring errors and to establish dependencies. Because vitamin C and arytenoids may be found in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, we can use them as objective measures of our consumption of these food groups. The fact that individuals who do not consume a diet that is abundant in fruits and vegetables do not consume significant quantities of vitamin C and arytenoids is reflected in the plasma levels of these individuals. In this paper a smart machine learning algorithm was proposed to predict the micro plasma impacts. This monitors the regular shape and harvesting of different farm fresh products and predicts the impacts of it. This will helpful for farmers to enhance the harvesting. © 2023 IEEE.

The Small-cell lung tumor is the prime public concern, resulting in increased mortality. Various therapeutic approaches have made progress in the handling of small-cell lung tumor. It's considered the backbone of cytotoxic chemotherapy treatment. However, clinical research shows that because small-cell lung tumor is chemically approachable, high response rates among small-cell lung tumorinfecters are generally not translated into cure. Therefore, it is high time to make progress in small-cell lung tumor research because every success in clinical trials is fought, and every failure is a lesson. A recent study of small-cell lung tumor has improved the prognosis of patients. Some notable research areas have provided new options for patients by conducting multiple clinical trials. In this paper smart edge detection based small lung tumor identification method was proposed. This model operates with the pattern recognition algorithm model. This algorithm smartly finds the edges of the tumor cells and provides the edge results. This will helpful for the doctors to identify the tumor part exactly. © 2023 IEEE.

Wine quality prediction is essential for optimizing production and ensuring consumer satisfaction. This study introduces a novel Convoluted Deep Classification (CDC) approach for accurate wine quality assessment. Leveraging convolutional neural networks (CNNs), our method effectively extracts hierarchical features from diverse wine data. The process begins with dataset preprocessing, encompassing chemical properties and sensory attributes. Subsequently, a hierarchical CNN architecture is tailored to capture intricate features such as acidity levels and volatile compounds. Techniques like data augmentation and transfer learning are employed to bolster model generalization. Evaluation on a benchmark dataset demonstrates outstanding performance, achieving a remarkable accuracy of 97%. This surpasses traditional methods and baseline CNN architectures, affirming the efficacy of our approach. Additionally, interpretability analyses unveil the key features influencing wine quality predictions, providing invaluable insights for producers and connoisseurs alike. Our CDC framework offers a robust and interpretable solution for wine quality prediction, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights for production optimization and quality assurance in the wine industry.

Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in classification and regression tasks on RGB-based pathological inputs. The network’s prediction mechanism must be interpretable to establish trust in the clinical routine. One principal approach to interpretation is feature attribution. Feature attribution methods identify the importance of input features for the output prediction. Building on the Information Bottleneck Attribution (IBA) method, we recognize the RGB’s input regions with high mutual information with the network’s output for each prediction. IBA identifies input regions that have sufficient predictive information. In this paper, we introduce "IBATree", a novel approach that combines IBA with decision trees to enhance both the interpretability and accuracy of DNNs in cancer cell classification. Our method leverages the information bottleneck framework to inject noise into feature maps and then isolates the most informative features for model predictions while maintaining high classification performance. We evaluated our proposed approach on three datasets—CNMC, ISBI2016, and BreaKHis—demonstrating competitive accuracy and producing clear interpretations. This makes IBATree particularly suitable for clinical applications, where understanding the rationale behind predictions is crucial. Our results show that IBATree provides reliable predictions and valuable insights into feature importance, paving the way for its application in various biomedical domains.

Classroom scheduling is vital but difficult for educational institutions, especially those with large student populations and diverse needs. Traditional methods using outdated software or manual processes often cause inefficiencies, disagreements, and administrative workload. In low-resource regions without access to cutting-edge technology and infrastructure, these issues are severe. This paper introduces Android-based SmartClass Mobile to transform classroom scheduling. The program's SOA-based functionality offers flexibility, adaptability, and integration with institution-specific procedures. The Heuristic algorithm and Solution Space Navigation (SSN) tackle scheduling problems such as room availability, multimedia needs, and seating capacities. SSN dynamically resolves conflicts by exploring alternate configurations, while the Heuristic Algorithm assigns time slots and classrooms depending on availability and priority. SmartClass Mobile analysis indicates benefits. The solution reduces conflicts, increases user satisfaction, and decreases scheduling time by 50% compared to manual methods with 85% test user approval. Due to its mobile-first approach, the initiative is open to urban and rural institutions. Dependence on internet access for some functions is a downside, especially in resource-constrained contexts. The findings suggest that SmartClass Mobile provides a scalable, effective, and simple classroom scheduling solution. Mobile technology, advanced algorithms, and SOA concepts make it valuable for school administrators. Additions like AI and machine learning will boost its potential.

Personalized federated learning (PFL) has garnered attention due to its capability to address statistical heterogeneity among clients. Typically, prevailing PFL methods aggregate a single global model for personalization, which may be inadequate for clients with diverse data distributions. Furthermore, in the local update, each private dataset is used to optimize the model independently, which increases the risk of overfitting the current data distribution and losing previously acquired knowledge, resulting in knowledge forgetting. In this study, personalized federated learning with multiple classifier aggregation is proposed. The method involves splitting the client model into its head and base, then optimizing them respectively using an alternating optimization strategy that first optimizes the head and then the base. Initially, to address the suboptimal model problem, the proposed approach aggregates multiple classifiers using data distribution and employs knowledge distillation to impart positive and negative classifier knowledge for learning the most suitable personalized model head. Additionally, to mitigate knowledge forgetting, a learnable personalization layer is introduced, and hidden loss is utilized to learn the knowledge of the global base and prevent overfitting of the model base. Empirical results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves competitive performance across various benchmarks, outperforming the majority of state-of-the-art PFL algorithms. This paper focuses on a method that uses an LSTM model to predict the next word of a sentence. Based on Katz's Backoff model, it has been designed to improve and further succeed in our previous work. The main intention here is to show how effective the LSTM model is when compared to Katz's backoff model in terms of the number of n-grams required to predict the next word, and it also helps you predict more accurately. Here LSTM is used for processing, prediction and classification. Since the LSTM model is efficient and has been modified to the task at hand, the model offers very highly accurate predictions even though have used only a tiny portion of the entire corpus. When comparing the existing model, the proposed model predicts the word with accuracy of 90%.
