DkvSSO: Delegatable Keyed-Verification Credentials for Efficient Anonymous Single Sign-on

Anonymous single sign-on (ASSO) is an anonymous multi-service authentication method for end users. However, existing ASSO schemes suffer from heavy ticket requesting and verifying overheads, limiting their applications in large-scale settings. To address this problem, we propose a novel concept called keyed-verification anonymous credentials with disposable delegation (KVAC-DD) in the multi-verifier setting. Next, we extend KVAC-DD to build an efficient ASSO system, dubbed DkvSSO. The construction of DkvSSO can be instantiated in efficient prime-order groups, avoiding costly operations required in previous ASSO systems. We formally prove the security of our proposed constructions. Extensive experiments show that DkvSSO is significantly more efficient than existing ASSO schemes, making it suitable to be deployed in large-scale settings. © 2025 IEEE.

The pandemic creates a more complicated providence of medical assistance and diagnosis procedures. In the world, Covid-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS Cov-2), and plague are widely known pandemic disease desperations. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic tragedies, various medical diagnosis models and intelligent computing solutions are proposed for medical applications. In this era of computer-based medical environment, conventional clinical solutions are surpassed by many Machine Learning and Deep Learning-based COVID-19 diagnosis models. Anyhow, many existing models are developing lab-based diagnosis environments. Notably, the Gated Recurrent Unit-based Respiratory data Analysis (GRU-RE), Intelligent Unmanned Aerial Vehicle-based Covid data Analysis (Thermal Images) (I-UVAC), and Convolutional Neural Network-based Computer Tomography Image Analysis (CNN-CT) are enriched with lightweight image data analysis techniques for obtaining mass pandemic data at real-time conditions. However, the existing models directly deal with bulk images (thermal data and respiratory data) to diagnose the symptoms of COVID-19. Against these works, the proposed spectacle thermal image data analysis model creates an easy and effective way of disease diagnosis deployment strategies. Particularly, the mass detection of disease symptoms needs a more lightweight equipment setup. In this proposed model, each patient's thermal data is collected via the spectacles of medical staff, and the data are analyzed with the help of a complex set of capsule network functions. Comparatively, the conventional capsule network functions are enriched in this proposed model using adequate sampling and data reduction solutions. In this way, the proposed model works effectively for mass thermal data diagnosis applications. Modernization and intense industrialization have led to a substantial improvement in people’s quality of life. However, the aspiration for achieving an improved quality of life results in environmental contamination. A primary consequence of environmental degradation is air pollution, resulting from rising levels of poisonous chemicals in the atmosphere, which may induce detrimental health conditions in humans. It is harmful to both humans and agriculture. Given that the effects of air pollution on plants may not be readily apparent, it is important to analyse the necessary data and compute the outcomes. Farmers prioritise on pests and plant diseases, frequently neglecting the detrimental impacts of air pollution. Some plant species can withstand high amounts of pollution from suspended particulate matter and accumulated gases, while others are more susceptible to harm. Therefore, plants’ reaction to air pollution is influenced by the kind of harmful compounds, their levels, and the plant’s susceptibility to them. The LSTM +CNN Proposed Ensemble method may be used to analyse the impact of air pollution on agriculture by examining trends in crop production over time and predicting which crop is more resistant based on the pollution data. The initiative created for this aim may assist farmers in determining the most suitable crop to cultivate in their fields to minimize the impact of air pollution on agricultural yield. The findings show deep learning algorithms correctly predict hourly pollutant concentrations such as carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, ground-level ozone, and particulate matter 2.5, along with the hourly Air Quality Index (AQI) for California. A proposed model used test RMSE values as a measure to evaluate prediction performance, achieving the best possible results. © 2025 SCPE.

A General Framework for Clustering and Distribution Matching with Bandit Feedback

We develop a general framework for clustering and distribution matching problems with bandit feedback. We consider a K-armed bandit model where some subset of K arms is partitioned into M groups. Within each group, the random variable associated to each arm follows the same distribution on a finite alphabet. At each time step, the decision maker pulls an arm and observes its outcome from the random variable associated to that arm. Subsequent arm pulls depend on the history of arm pulls and their outcomes. The decision maker has no knowledge of the distributions of the arms or the underlying partitions. The task is to devise an online algorithm to learn the underlying partition of arms with the least number of arm pulls on average and with an error probability not exceeding a pre-determined value δ. Several existing problems fall under our general framework, including finding M pairs of arms, odd arm identification, and N-ary clustering of K arms belong to our general framework. We derive a non-asymptotic lower bound on the average number of arm pulls for any online algorithm with an error probability not exceeding δ. Furthermore, we develop a computationally-efficient online algorithm based on the Track-and-Stop method and Frank-Wolfe algorithm, and show that the average number of arm pulls of our algorithm asymptotically matches that of the lower bound. Our refined analysis also uncovers a novel bound on the speed at which the average number of arm pulls of our algorithm converges to the fundamental limit as δ vanishes. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

Researchers have recently created several deep learning strategies for various tasks, and facial recognition has made remarkable progress in employing these techniques. Face recognition is a noncontact, nonobligatory, acceptable, and harmonious biometric recognition method with a promising national and social security future. The purpose of this paper is to improve the existing face recognition algorithm, investigate extensive data-driven face recognition methods, and propose a unique automated face recognition methodology based on generative adversarial networks (GANs) and the center symmetric multivariable local binary pattern (CS-MLBP). To begin, this paper employs the center symmetric multivariant local binary pattern (CS-MLBP) algorithm to extract the texture features of the face, addressing the issue that C2DPCA (column-based two-dimensional principle component analysis) does an excellent job of removing the global characteristics of the face but struggles to process the local features of the face under large samples. The extracted texture features are combined with the international features retrieved using C2DPCA to generate a multifeatured face. The proposed method, GAN-CS-MLBP, syndicates the power of GAN with the robustness of CS-MLBP, resulting in an accurate and efficient face recognition system. Deep learning algorithms, mainly neural networks, automatically extract discriminative properties from facial images. The learned features capture low-level information and high-level meanings, permitting the model to distinguish among dissimilar persons more successfully. To assess the proposed technique’s GAN-CS-MLBP performance, extensive experiments are performed on benchmark face recognition datasets such as LFW, YTF, and CASIA-WebFace. Plant infections destroy and impair the quality of crops, and the pesticides used to treat them pollute the soil, rendering it unfit for planting. Image processing and deep learning technologies may be used to identify disease spots on grape leaves. The detection's precision and efficiency, on the other hand, remain problems. In this paper, the performance of a few well-known CNN models implemented utilizing transfer learning, such as ResNet18, VGG16, and GoogleNet were compared with capsule network. The local entity characteristics are first found by the Capsule layers. For the purpose of collecting aggregate data like "disease type" and "disease stage," the capsule layer makes use of geographic information and the frequency of local-level characteristics. Colored pictures of strong and unhealthy leaves were taken from the public dataset and then used to train the models. The proposed work focused on the novelty concept of identifying the stages of diseases. The Capsule based classification technique can give competitive benefits with an effective classification of accuracy and stages of leaf disease related to other models.

The classification of land cover is crucial due to increasing demands and population expansion. Segmentation of the terrain is utilized in environmental monitoring to accurately identify and delineate areas of agriculture, buildings, and water bodies. Satellite imagery is quite valuable for the purpose of segmentation. Deep learning models offer automated and precise segmentation of satellite imagery. The U-Net architecture is widely employed as an encoder-decoder structure for the purpose of segmenting medical and remote sensing images. This study investigates the process of dividing satellite images into segments using an optimized U-Net model. Our model utilizes improved equal weights to calculate loss functions. In addition, we have implemented a dropout layer for each convolutional block in order to decrease the computational time required for feature extraction in the encoder layer of the optimized U-Net model. Our study examines the Dubai dataset, which has six distinct classes. The optimized U-Net model we propose achieves an accuracy of 81.5% and Intersection over Union (IoU) values of 61.7% for segmenting the dataset. These metrics are acquired with a reduced number of epochs, hence decreasing the computational expense. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The HVAC system, energy storage building, distributed power supply, and other equipment are integrated into the scheduling algorithm, which is aimed at reducing household electricity consumption. It is also assumed that users can provide energy to the grid according to their own conditions. Taking electricity cost and comfort level as optimization targets, a home energy optimization control model for the coordinated management of hybrid energy sources is built. A smart scheduling mechanism based on the improved adaptive particle swarm optimization approach is proposed in order to derive the best time intervals for electric appliances, necessary power for the control of the room temperature for every time frame, and power for charging and discharging of the storage battery at various moments. Simulation results show that through the incorporation of distributed photovoltaic power generation, backup storage by battery, and home energy optimization control, the system efficiently balances between user comfort and electricity consumption. This offers great technical support to the development of home energy management systems. By using time-of-use electricity price for energy acquisition and supply, the optimization control goal is minimizing both power use and cost as well as preserving comfort levels. The hybrid energy management's proposed home energy optimization control model uses an adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm to find the optimal operation schedules of the electrical appliances, the required power for temperature control in a room, and the charge/discharge power level of the storage battery at each time interval. As per the optimization principle, the proposed dynamic programming algorithm converts the multi-stage problem into a sequence of single-stage problems and solves them separately. Identifying melanoma in dermoscopic images is an immense challenge due to the varied appearances of the lesions. This research introduces a hybrid CNN-LSTM model augmented with a multi-scale attention mechanism to tackle this complexity, utilising CNNs for spatial feature extraction and LSTMs for temporal pattern recognition. Our model surpasses traditional CNN and MobileNet V2-LSTM models, with an accuracy of 96.98%, a recall of 96.65%, a specificity of 97.56%, and a JSI of 95.78 % . These measurements demonstrate enhanced sensitivity and reliability compared to baseline models, signifying strong diagnostic capabilities. This study improves melanoma detection, aiding in more precise diagnoses for clinical environments and remote telemedicine applications. Future initiatives involve enhancing the model for more comprehensive skin lesion categorisation.

As Internet of Things (IoT) technology develops so quickly, security issues with IoT devices have come to light. IoT is an array of intelligent devices connected via a network to provide various services. The amount of data generated by these devices has an impact on how well the current intrusion detection systems (IDS) function. The generated dataset consists of irrelevant features which reduces the performance of IDS, making IoT ecosystem vulnerable to cyberattacks. The researchers have suggested the feature reduction technique as a potential solution to the current problem. The proposed method seeks to reduce the feature count by removing the redundant feature subset. Several machine learning methods have been successfully implemented in this discipline. This study proposed the application of hybrid feature reduction technique. The research combined Convolutional neural network (CNN) and Long short-term memory (LSTM);CNN extracted local features and decreased dimensionality, while LSTM identified long-term relationships in the data. SVM and Random Forest classifiers models were used to classify the chosen feature subset. This study employed the TON_IoT datasets, an up-to-date dataset, to evaluate the model. During data preprocessing, the study applied SMOTETomek data pre-processing technique to address class imbalance in the dataset. With the decreased feature subset, the classification models fared reasonably well;RF had a 98% accuracy rate while SVM had a 91% accuracy rate, showcasing the suggested methodology’s potential for creating efficient IDS. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).
