In the pursuit of developing more effective vaccines against viruses like SARS-CoV-2, understanding their potential mutations is crucial. In order to generate protein sequences, this study presents a unique framework that synergistically blends phylogenetic data with Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). The proposed method combines the strengths of two models: TEMPO, a transformer-based model proficient in leveraging phylogenetic data for mutation detection in SARS-CoV-2, and MutaGAN, a GAN-based model adept in generating synthetic protein sequences. The phylogenetic data from TEMPO is used in this novel design as the input for the MutaGAN generator, replacing the conventional random noise input used in GANs. The generator may now create synthetic protein sequences that are impacted by the evolutionary past included in the phylogenetic data resulting in the creation of artificial protein sequences that are more biologically significant and lifelike. The discriminator portion of the model, similar to MutaGAN, is still in charge of determining whether or not the input sequences comprise a valid parent-child pair and uses sequences produced by the first GAN as extra negative cases. This prevented the model from going too far off its planned route. Additional investigation into this fascinating confluence of bioinformatics and AI may be possible as a result of this study's conclusions. This approach has tremendous promise in many applications, such as the production of more powerful vaccinations, protein engineering, medication design, and improving our knowledge of biological systems, by forecasting how SARS-CoV-2 could change. A precision of 0.662 and an accuracy of around 0.671, together with a Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC) score of 0.313, show that the framework performs very well. Several medical investigations have demonstrated that Alzheimer's disease (AD) manifests itself long before the formal diagnosis of dementia. These studies have led to the identification of numerous ideal biomarkers associated with Alzheimer's symptoms. Consequently, the imperative for early diagnosis has become evident, necessitating a high-performance computational tool capable of efficiently processing vast amounts of data. Early detection of AD not only offers valuable insights into the condition's progression but also presents a significant opportunity to benefit from timely and effective treatment. This ground-breaking study pioneers an innovative approach to the early detection and diagnosis of AD by crafting a sophisticated model SVGGL, which blends the power of stacked VGG19 neural networks with the interpretability of logistic regression. Leveraging neuro-imaging data, specifically the insights provided MRI, and our model aims to discern subtle structural and functional alterations in the brains of individuals at risk for or in the early stages of AD. The combination of feature extraction from stacked VGG19 models and subsequent logistic regression classification yields a precise and efficient classifier with an outstanding accuracy of 98.24%. With such a high degree of accuracy, the model can reliably differentiate among healthy people and those with Alzheimer's, opening the door to potential early intervention and individualized treatment plans. The study not only sheds light on the intricate neuro pathological landscape of AD but also propels us toward a future where cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights, exemplified by our high-accuracy model, converge to tackle the challenges posed by this prevalent neurodegenerative disorder. © 2024 IEEE.

Robot localization is a fundamental competency required by an autonomous robot because the robot's location knowledge is an essential precursor to making decisions about future actions. Accurate localization of robots or autonomous vehicles is the most important requirement for autonomous applications. In this manuscript, a part-based convolutional neural network and dual interactive Wasserstein generative adversarial networks for landmark detection and localization of autonomous robots in an outdoor environment are proposed (P-CNN-DIWGAN-LMD-LZ). This research contains two phases landmark detection phase and the localization phase. In the landmark detection phase, the part-based convolutional neural network (P-CNN) is proposed to detect landmarks in capturing images. This landmark detection process creates 3 categories of responses for every detected landmarks instance: bounding box, label, and score. The bounding box has positioning with the sizing of detected landmarks at the input imagery. Label implicates detected landmark's class name. A score signifies an abjectness score that scales bounding box membership for landmarks or background classes. In the localization phase, a dual interactive Wasserstein generative adversarial network (DIWGAN) is proposed to determine robot location coordinates. Finally, the proposed method attains high robot localization recall at high accuracy in the real-world environment. Here, the outdoor robot localization dataset is taken from the KITTI dataset. The proposed method is implemented in Python;its performance is estimated under certain performance metrics, like mean absolute error (MAE), cosine proximity (CP), and accuracy. The performance of the proposed method shows higher accuracy compared with existing approaches, like DQP-ODA-LMD-LZ, TDL-LMD-LZ, and 3D-RISS-MLEVD- LMD-LZ. © 2022 IEEE.

The proliferation of interconnected devices is driving a surge in the demand for wireless spectrum. Meeting the need for wireless channel access for every device, while also ensuring consistent quality of service (QoS), poses significant challenges. This is particularly true for resource-limited heterogeneous devices within Internet of Things (IoT) networks. Cognitive radio (CR) technology addresses the shortcomings of traditional fixed channel allocation policies by enabling unlicensed users to opportunistically access unused spectrum belonging to licensed users. This facilitates timely and reliable transmission of mission-critical data packets. A cognitive radio-enabled IoT (CR-IoT) network is poised to better accommodate the growing demands of diverse applications and services within the smart city framework, spanning areas such as healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, environment, public safety, and pharmaceuticals. To minimize switching delays and ensure energy and spectral efficiency, this study proposes a hybrid intelligent system for efficient channel allocation and packet transmission in CR-IoT networks. Leveraging Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS), the system dynamically manages spectrum resources to minimize handoffs while upholding QoS. A Java-based simulation integrates system outputs with interference temperature data to accommodate service demands across 2G-4G spectrums. Evaluation reveals SVM's 98.8% accuracy in detecting spectrum holes and ANFIS's 90.4% accuracy in channel allocation. These results demonstrate significant potential for enhancing spectrum utilization in various IoT applications. © 2024-IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Doing More With Less: Mismatch-Based Risk-Limiting Audits

One approach to risk-limiting audits (RLAs) compares randomly selected cast vote records (CVRs) to votes read by human auditors from the corresponding ballot cards. Historically, such methods reduce audit sample sizes by considering how each sampled CVR differs from the corresponding true vote, not merely whether they differ. Here we investigate the latter approach, auditing by testing whether the total number of mismatches in the full set of CVRs exceeds the minimum number of CVR errors required for the reported outcome to be wrong (the "CVR margin"). This strategy makes it possible to audit more social choice functions and simplifies RLAs conceptually, which makes it easier to explain than some other RLA approaches. The cost is larger sample sizes. "Mismatch-based RLAs" only require a lower bound on the CVR margin, which for some social choice functions is easier to calculate than the effect of particular errors. When the population rate of mismatches is low and the lower bound on the CVR margin is close to the true CVR margin, the increase in sample size is small. However, the increase may be very large when errors include errors that, if corrected, would widen the CVR margin rather than narrow it;errors affect the margin between candidates other than the reported winner with the fewest votes and the reported loser with the most votes;or errors that affect different margins. This research introduces an innovative Sign Language to Speech Conversion Model using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to address communication barriers for the people who are deaf and unable to hear properly. The model employs deep learning for the automatic extraction of spatial patterns from sign language images. A diverse sign language dataset is carefully curated, undergoing Pre-processing for improved quality. Recognition of cursive handwritten text from photographs is a method for finding handwritten text. Identification is difficult because every author has a distinctive writing style. The proposed work uses cutting-edge technologies including RNN, KNN, MLP, and CRNN twith VGG16 to push the boundaries of character and handwriting recognition. Additionally, it compares neural networks to CNNwith VGG16 and finds that neural networks are more accurate. In the first stage, image acquisition, the scanned image is acquired along with its normalization, feature extraction, and segmentation. Additionally, it combines with the most effective feature extraction technique to improve the accuracy of our model. It also compares the accuracy with six uniquepretreat. approach, which are image segmentation image data generator data augmentation closed loop pre-processing, sigmoid Stretching and geometric *** provides the highest accuracy (98.36%) when using data augmentation. CNN has the highest accuracy (95.25%) when using picture segmentation. The third experiment's results for the image data generator show that CNN produced the best results (92.47%), while the highest model, RNN, gave closed loop processing accuracy of 92.20%. a change in geometry KNN has the highest accuracy at 95.39%. © 2023 IEEE.

Skin cancer is a predominant and possibly lethal condition that distresses people across the world. Primary detection and precise finding are crucial for leveraging efficacious treatment and enhanced patient consequences. This research study explores the application off Artificial Intelligence (AI) resolutions for the primary finding and analysis of skin cancer. The study leverages a dataset of dermatological images and employs various ML methods, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Support Vector Machines (SVMs), and decision trees, to analyse the existence of skin cancer with a higher degree of accuracy. By utilizing a combination of image processing and feature extraction, the AI model demonstrates higher performance in classifying skin lesions into malignant or benign categories. The proposed model has achieved an accuracy rate of 98.52%, making the AI-based system a promising tool for dermatologists and healthcare professionals. © 2024 IEEE.

Financial fraud presents substantial risks to individuals and financial institutions globally, necessitating efficient detection mechanisms to mitigate probable fatalities. In this study, the development and evaluation of machine learning (ML) models for detecting fraudulent activities in mobile money transactions are investigated. Using a synthetic dataset, realworld transaction scenarios involving a variety of transaction kinds and features are simulated. The effectiveness of many machine learning (ML) methods, such as LGBM, random forests, XGBoost, and logistic regression, in spotting fraudulent transactions is investigated through data preparation, feature engineering, and model-building procedures. Employing techniques such as SMOTE-Tomek resampling and hyperparameter tuning enhances the performance and robustness of our models. Our results reveal that the XGBoost classifier emerges as the top-performing model, exhibiting a remarkable accuracy of 99.95%. The findings underscore the potential of MLbased approaches to bolster security and trust in mobile financial services, contributing to the ongoing advancement of fraud detection methodologies in the financial sector. © 2024 IEEE.

The motive of underwater image enhancement is to improve and enhance the quality of photographs taken underwater. Various traditonal image processing techniques and deep learning models have been developed to work on this task. But most often the deep learning models and conventional methods of image processing work in silos, leading to subpar results. This research proposes a strategy that utilizes a combination of both approaches to solve this issue. Initially, traditional image processing techniques like colour correction and image stretching are used to enhance the colour of the images. The enhanced images are then fed into a custom Real-ESRGAN model that has been fine-tuned on an underwater image dataset to optimize performance in this context. This hybrid approach has the potential to outperform the models utilizing either traditional or deep learning methods in isolation by leveraging the strengths of both. In addition, batch processing is used in the pipeline to efficiently handle multiple images at the same time. This effectively addresses the scalability problem that arises frequently in image enhancement tasks. With eye-catching visuals, the proposed methodology achieves a Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) of 23.66 and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.28, suggesting excellent image restoration and noise reduction. The qualitative assessments show that the improved image graphs have better colour, contrast, and clarity than the originals. © 2023 IEEE.
