The HVAC system, energy storage building, distributed power supply, and other equipment are integrated into the scheduling algorithm, which is aimed at reducing household electricity consumption. It is also assumed that users can provide energy to the grid according to their own conditions. Taking electricity cost and comfort level as optimization targets, a home energy optimization control model for the coordinated management of hybrid energy sources is built. A smart scheduling mechanism based on the improved adaptive particle swarm optimization approach is proposed in order to derive the best time intervals for electric appliances, necessary power for the control of the room temperature for every time frame, and power for charging and discharging of the storage battery at various moments. Simulation results show that through the incorporation of distributed photovoltaic power generation, backup storage by battery, and home energy optimization control, the system efficiently balances between user comfort and electricity consumption. This offers great technical support to the development of home energy management systems. By using time-of-use electricity price for energy acquisition and supply, the optimization control goal is minimizing both power use and cost as well as preserving comfort levels. The hybrid energy management's proposed home energy optimization control model uses an adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm to find the optimal operation schedules of the electrical appliances, the required power for temperature control in a room, and the charge/discharge power level of the storage battery at each time interval. As per the optimization principle, the proposed dynamic programming algorithm converts the multi-stage problem into a sequence of single-stage problems and solves them separately. In the workplace, risk prevention helps detect the risks and prevent accidents. To achieve this, workers' mental and physical parameters related to their health should be focused on and analyzed. It helps improve the workers' mental health and thus improves organizational performance. There are a lot of mental illnesses due to excess work and a lack of professional knowledge. It affects the performance of the worker. So, the organization needs to conduct competency training programs to improve their professional skills and the mindset to tackle the work pressure. There are several competency training programs given in various organizations to mold the workers, and it considerably reduces workplaces risks. Competency training in the workplace teaches integrity, honesty, managerial skills, and other workers. Developing organizational skills is the primary concern in this competency training. This paper enabled one of the best machine learning algorithms to be chosen to predict the hazards in the workplace and provide a healthy environment to the workers. For that, several classification methods such as Logistic Regression, Decision trees, AdaBoost classifier, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting classifier, and XGBoost classifier are implemented experimented with, and the performance is verified with python software. Today, agriculture remains the most important economic activity in the world. Food care is a major concern for the whole society. For agriculture-based supply chain management, traceability is considered as the major requirement. Traceability helps in providing quality assurance and transparency to the end user. The antiquated traceability system has the complications of centralized systems, non-Transparency of information, unpredictable data, and the very easy formation of false data. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that one out of ten people is affected by having tainted food. Globalization involving different food production processes and automation pushes the food supply chain into a complicated web. Numerous advancements have been investigated lately to determine food vulnerability and carry productivity to food related issues. One of the expected advances is block chain, which is as of now being effectively executed in monetary areas, for example, bit coin. Block chain can also be used in the food supply chain industries to improve traceability and help in the danger decrease of fakes and different types of unlawful occupation. This paper presents a systematic survey on agrifood supply chain traceability issues using various block chain platforms such as Ethereum and Hyperledger, as well as IOT techniques such as barcodes, RFID, NFC, and QR codes. Images photographed in foggy weather usually have poor visibility. To mitigate this problem researchers have come up with various image dehazing techniques. Now, more than ever, high-quality images that can be used to glean maximum information from autonomous systems are in high demand. This research work uses different Deep Learning (DL) architectures to draw out essential details from the picture and localize the information recovered to reduce the haze from the picture. The paper investigates to remove the hazes from the dehazed images using DL techniques. The first task of this proposed work attempts three pre-processing techniques namely, air light estimation, contextual regularization and boundary constraint. The second task of this work is to identify the suitable DL model to extract clear images from dehazed images. Evaluation metrics are PSNR value and SSIM value are used to estimate the values of dehazed images compared with clear images. Experimental results proves that AOD-Net outperforms good result with respect to PSNR value. © 2023 IEEE.

Affective picture databases provide a standardized set of images to elicit controlled and consistent emotional responses in research participants. They are a valuable tool for studying various emotion-related phenomena across several research domains. These domains include emotion perception, emotion regulation, and the neural basis of emotion. However, affective picture databases have diverse schemas, structures, and content, making them difficult to use. Searching and retrieving optimal pictures relevant to affective stimulation may be challenging and time-consuming. In this context, we surveyed domain experts about their practices and experiences working with affective multimedia databases such as IAPS, NAPS, OASIS, GAPED, and others. The survey identified a need for novel data observatory software. This finding motivates the authors' intention to develop and validate such software platform that relies on AI. Such a platform would describe better, retrieve, and integrate various semi-structured affective multimedia datasets. The results prominently indicate the overwhelming dissatisfaction regarding stimuli content diversity and cultural bias, specifically regarding emotional and semantic context. The main driver of satisfaction from users of existing automated retrieval software is the quality of semantic descriptors available. This points to the direction AI should take in novel data observatory software. This survey follows up on a similar survey conducted ten years ago and explores the differences in researchers' opinions and experiences during that time. Communications have a crucial role in times of crisis, particularly in times of emergency. Whenever a region is affected by any disaster, social media sites such as Twitter, etc., are a great way to get information out to those who need it the most. Our paper suggests that in times of crisis, when people are worried about finding the right emergency contacts or are experiencing a transformation in their psychological response, they should manually enter their experience into an app to obtain contact information for the nearest SOS. Alternatively, the proposed application suggests scraping hashtags from around the world with web scraping scripts to retrieve geo-referenced tweets in real time. In order to gather accurate data, Twitter's API or some third-party application can be used in the development of this software. When there is a major crisis, social media user behavior plays a vital role, owing to its efficiency and high reliability with swift data dissemination. Anxiety over finding the right emergency team contact may cause people to lose their cool and become unclear about which authority they should call when an emergency occurs. Eventually, our application bridges the gap between clients in need of help and the approved agency that can really provide that support in different circumstances. In the case of, for example, a lost child or a flooded area, our application helps you get in touch with an organization that can assist you in dealing with the situation. We have used CNN-1-D + LSTM, CNN-1-D + Bi-LSTMs, and CNN-1-D + LSTM + Glove-100-D to get maximum accuracy for the classification model. It is possible to use the prototype solution in a novel way to organize immediate assistance with authorities in comprehensive administration, while integrating Twitter or other social platforms into the application can make it a feasible platform for preventive intervention and catastrophe management. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature

The prevalence of DR is steadily rising, which necessitates the automatic disease severity extraction and classification. About 2% of those with this illness are entirely blind because of the diabetic mellitus problem and 10% get vision impairment after 15 years of diabetes as a result of the DR complication. It is also a significant contributor to blindness in both middle aged and older age groups. The patient may develop to severe stages of irreversible blindness if the condition is not detected early. The growing number of diabetic patients face a major issue due to a lack of ophthalmologists. It is suggested that an automated DR screening system be created to aid the ophthalmologist in making decisions. One of the primary symptoms of the DR is hard exudates. The detection of hard exudates is crucial for screening purposes and aids in disease monitoring and diagnosis. Thus, utilising Lloyd's clustering technique, this work offered a unique techniques to segment the exudates and irregularities in DR were found. © 2023 IEEE.

A Comprehensive Study of OOP-Related Bugs in C++ Compilers

Modern C++, a programming language characterized by its extensive use of object-oriented programming (OOP) features, is widely used for system programming. However, C++ compilers often struggle to correctly handle these sophisticated OOP features, resulting in numerous high-profile compiler bugs that can lead to crashes or miscompilation. Despite the significance of OOP-related bugs, existing studies largely overlook OOP features, hindering their ability to discover such bugs. To assist both compiler fuzzer designers and compiler developers, we conduct a comprehensive study of the compiler bugs caused by incorrectly handling C++ OOP-related features. First, we systematically extract 788 OOP-related C++ compiler bugs from GCC and LLVM. Second, derived from the core concepts of OOP and C++, we manually identified a two-level taxonomy of the OOP-related features leading to compiler bugs, which consists of 6 primary categories (e.g., Abstraction & Encapsulation, Inheritance, and Runtime Polymorphism), along with 17 secondary categories (e.g., Constructors & Destructors and Multiple Inheritance). Third, we systematically analyze the root causes, symptoms, fixes, options, and C++ standard versions of these bugs. Our analysis yields 13 key findings, highlighting that features related to the construction and destruction of objects lead to the highest number of bugs, crashes are the most frequent symptom, and while the average time from bug introduction to discovery is 1856 days, fixing the bug once discovered takes only 174 days on average. Additionally, more than half of the bugs can be triggered without any compiler options. These findings offer valuable insights not only for developing new compiler testing approaches but also for improving language design and compiler engineering. Inspired by these findings, we developed a proof-of-concept compiler fuzzer OOPFuzz, specifically targeting OOP-related bugs in C++ compilers. We applied it against the newest release versions
