Distributed and Localized Model Predictive Control - Part II: Theoretical Guarantees

Engineered cyberphysical systems are growing increasingly large and complex. These systems require scalable controllers that robustly satisfy state and input constraints in the presence of additive noise: such controllers should also be accompanied by theoretical guarantees on feasibility and stability. In our companion paper, we introduced distributed and localized model predictive control (DLMPC) for large-scale linear systems;DLMPC is a scalable closed-loop MPC scheme in which subsystems need only exchange local information in order to synthesize and implement local controllers. In this article, we provide recursive feasibility and asymptotic stability guarantees for DLMPC. We leverage the system level synthesis framework to express the maximal positive robust invariant set for the closed-loop system and its corresponding Lyapunov function in terms of the closed-loop system responses. We use the invariant set as the terminal set for DLMPC, and show that this guarantees feasibility with minimal conservatism. We use the Lyapunov function as the terminal cost, and show that this guarantees stability. We provide fully distributed and localized algorithms to compute the terminal set offline, and also provide necessary additions to the online DLMPC algorithm to accommodate coupled terminal constraint and cost. In all algorithms, only local information exchange is necessary, and computational complexity is independent of the global system size: we demonstrate this analytically and experimentally. This is the first distributed MPC approach that provides minimally conservative yet fully distributed guarantees for recursive feasibility and asymptotic stability in the nominal and robust settings. © 2014 IEEE.

Mobile prices play a pivotal role in determining their popularity amongst consumers and their competitive standing within the market. As customers consider their budget while evaluating a mobile phone's specifications and design, estimating the price beforehand becomes essential to cater to their needs and expectations. Hence, accurately forecasting mobile phone prices is a vital step in the product launch process to remain competitive and assess the market dynamics and competitors. The primary aim of this research is to determine the true market value of mobile phones. In this research, the dataset was extracted by means of utilizing a web scraping process from the flipkart website. The main objective of this research is to fetch the most recent dataset based on the most recent features. The extracted dataset is fitted into regression models such as linear regression, decision tree regressor, random forest regressor, KNN regressor, and gradient boosting regressor and performs the comparative analysis. The models are evaluated based on the mean absolute error metric. © 2024 IEEE.

In the evolving landscape of the smart grid(SG),the integration of non-organic multiple access(NOMA)technology has emerged as a pivotal strategy for enhancing spectral efficiency and energy ***,the open nature of wireless channels in SG raises significant concerns regarding the confidentiality of critical control messages,especially when broadcasted from a neighborhood gateway(NG)to smart meters(SMs).This paper introduces a novel approach based on reinforcement learning(RL)to fortify the performance of *** by the need for efficient and effective training of the fully connected layers in the RL network,we employ an improved chimp optimization algorithm(IChOA)to update the parameters of the *** integrating the IChOA into the training process,the RL agent is expected to learn more robust policies faster and with better convergence properties compared to standard optimization *** can lead to improved performance in complex SG environments,where the agent must make decisions that enhance the security and efficiency of the *** compared the performance of our proposed method(IChOA-RL)with several state-of-the-art machine learning(ML)algorithms,including recurrent neural network(RNN),long short-term memory(LSTM),K-nearest neighbors(KNN),support vector machine(SVM),improved crow search algorithm(I-CSA),and grey wolf optimizer(GWO).Extensive simulations demonstrate the efficacy of our approach compared to the related works,showcasing significant improvements in secrecy capacity rates under various network *** proposed IChOA-RL exhibits superior performance compared to other algorithms in various aspects,including the scalability of the NOMA communication system,accuracy,coefficient of determination(R2),root mean square error(RMSE),and convergence *** our dataset,the IChOA-RL architecture achieved coefficient of determination of 95.77%and accuracy of 97.41%in validation *** was accompanied by the lowes

Estimating high-dimensional covariance matrices is crucial in various domains. This work considers a scenario where two collaborating agents access disjoint dimensions of m samples from a high-dimensional random vector, and they can only communicate a limited number of bits to a central server, which wants to accurately approximate the covariance matrix. We analyze the fundamental trade-off between communication cost, number of samples, and estimation accuracy. We prove a lower bound on the error achievable by any estimator, highlighting the impact of dimensions, number of samples, and communication budget. Furthermore, we present an algorithm that achieves this lower bound up to a logarithmic factor, demonstrating its near-optimality in practical settings. Copyright 2024 by the author(s)

The security aspect of cloud computing is much more challenging for researchers. Preventing the attack requires knowledge about the type of attack, its origin, and how vulnerabilities and tools are used for the attack. The cloud security methodology protects customer data, information, and applications from attackers. Due to digitalization, the volume of data is increased. The protection of data is very challenging for cloud service providers. This work proposes a new cloud intrusion detection system security infrastructure based on Honeynet, Honeywell, Honeypot, and Honeytoken Strategies. The proposed strategy effectively identifies intrusion detection, attack behavior, and attack scenario. This paper focuses on a method that uses an LSTM model to predict the next word of a sentence. Based on Katz's Backoff model, it has been designed to improve and further succeed in our previous work. The main intention here is to show how effective the LSTM model is when compared to Katz's backoff model in terms of the number of n-grams required to predict the next word, and it also helps you predict more accurately. Here LSTM is used for processing, prediction and classification. Since the LSTM model is efficient and has been modified to the task at hand, the model offers very highly accurate predictions even though have used only a tiny portion of the entire corpus. When comparing the existing model, the proposed model predicts the word with accuracy of 90%. © 2024 IEEE.

Analysis and reaction to natural disasters have made extensive use of deep learning methods using semantic segmentation networks. These implementations’ foundation is based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are capable of precisely identifying and locating the relevant areas of interest within satellite imagery or other types of remote sensing data. This helps with rescue planning, restoration efforts, and disaster evaluation. Difficulties in the provision of healthcare services, due to natural disasters, are made worse by the existing problems prevalent in most healthcare systems. The aim of this research is to propose a novel technique in climate change–based disaster management with their public healthcare analysis using cloud computing with deep learning techniques. In this research, the cloud network has been used in LiDAR image collection for climate change–based disaster-struck regions and their public healthcare analysis. This collected image has been classified and optimized using a deep Markov Q-transfer adversarial neural network with binary grey whale swarm optimization. Experimental analysis has been carried out for various disaster management–based public healthcare datasets in terms of classification accuracy, specificity, NSE, sensitivity, and F-1 score. The proposed technique attained a classification accuracy of 97%, F-1 score of 94%, specificity of 96%, sensitivity of 95%, and NSE of 57%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Nowadays, due to the increase of technological development in smart devices, more computational capabilities are needed with better performance. The maximization of the cloud computing resources used in mobile networks and Internet of Things makes good results. The data processing along with delay in the communication network will be easily handled by edge computing technology. The edge server brought as much as close to the end devices to avoid the frequent cloud access. In edge servers, the processing of the computational task is time consuming, which causes latency. The inference of deep learning along with reinforcement models makes the better resource allocation and task scheduling for complex systems. In this work, deep reinforcement models like Q learning, Double Q learning, Deep Q network, Double Deep Q learning has been compared. The developed Deep Reinforcement learning model has been deployed in the edge-based system. As a result, it is inferred that Double Deep Q learning is having the ability to make better decisions in resource allocation by maximizing the gains and rewards. The simulation result shows that Double Deep Q learning performs better with decreased latency and increases the performance of the edge systems. © 2023 IEEE.
