The relevance of the study: The formation of surfaces by analytical methods and their visualization using computer graphics is one of the topical problems of applied geometry. Purpose of the study is to investigate non-traditional projection systems, to select congruence parameters of conical helical lines that cover the entire complex of surface requirements, obtained by projecting with conic rays an arbitrary flat or spatial line and using computer graphics in visualization of the surface. Methods of research: The general analytical theory of applied surface molding, developed by prof. Skidan I A and a single unit, which is based on the mathematical support of computer technologies for designing and creating objects of complex shape. Results of the research: An example of an analytical interpretation of the image of curvilinear projection by conical screw lines of a constant step and an example of congruence of conical screw lines, located on coaxial cones with a common vertex and a variable angle of inclination of the generator to the axis. The properties are investigated, the parameters of the helical line of the congruence, passing through an arbitrary point of space that does not belong to the axis, are determined. A method is proposed for constructing spiral surfaces, the framework of which consists of rays projecting an arbitrary line.

This paper describes the mandatory conditions for training specialists in the widespread and still continuously developing microscopic technique for studying of materials surface. Traditional methods of education are not sufficient for teaching of the multidisciplinary subjects. Available information technologies and resources alone do not ensure learning success. There is need for a conceptual review and analysis of the cases in the sphere of specialists training. Scanning probe microscopy is based on the fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics, physics, chemistry, etc. In this regard, the specialist has to achieve knowledges in the field of science(physical and chemical laws), and at the same time there is necessity to be educated in approaches for the study and description of surface quality.

In this paper the problem of geometric-graphic preparation of civil engineering students is considered. The development of the integrative educational discipline 'descriptivegeometry, engineering and computer graphics', implemented within the foundation part of the higher educational specialised program 'Construction' is proposed. The prerequisites of the integrative approach in accordance with innovations in engineering design and modern requirements for the project culture of future graduates are discussed. Possible methods and pedagogical technologies for implementing the approach are considered. The manifestations of the integrative approach are shown at the innovative organization of the educational process, creating conditions for the functioning of the learning environment for the formation of professional competencies in students corresponding to the requirements of real design and engineering activities. An example of a complex task for the design of a building structure is given, the results of which allow one to assess the level of the students' competences, formed within the framework of graphic preparation.

The article deals with the reinforcement method of weak seasonally freezing soils in subgrade base by using double-cone hollow piles, tridimensional geogrid, geotextile for roads in the northern regions of the Russian Federation. The method of calculating the road base in the form of pile strip foundation of double-cone hollow piles reinforced by tridimensional geogrid and geotextile on weak heaving soils taking into account traffic loads and weight of subgrade is considered. The developed method of calculation is based on the formation of soil compaction zones in the near-pile space as a result of pile driving into the ground, which leads to an increase in the structural strength of the weak soil, and also takes the arch effect that occurs in the soil between adjacent pile heads.

AIM:To apply the multifractal analysis method as a quantitative approach to a comprehensive description of the microvascular network architecture of the normal human ***:Fifty volunteers were enrolled in this study in the Ophthalmological Clinic of Cluj-Napoca,Romania,between January 2012 and January 2014. A set of 100 segmented and skeletonised human retinal images, corresponding to normal states of the retina were studied. An automatic unsupervised method for retinal vessel segmentation was applied before multifractal analysis. The multifractal analysis of digital retinal images was made with computer algorithms, applying the standard boxcounting method. Statistical analyses were performed using the Graph Pad In Stat ***:The architecture of normal human retinal microvascular network was able to be described using the multifractal geometry. The average of generalized dimensions(D_q)for q=0,1,2,the width of the multifractal spectrum(Δα=α_(max)-α_(min))and the spectrum arms' heights difference(│Δf│)of the normal images were expressed as mean±standard deviation(SD):for segmented versions,D_0=1.7014±0.0057; D_1=1.6507±0.0058; D_2=1.5772±0.0059; Δα=0.92441±0.0085; │Δf│= 0.1453±0.0051; for skeletonised versions,D_0=1.6303±0.0051; D_1=1.6012±0.0059; D_2=1.5531± 0.0058; Δα=0.65032±0.0162; │Δf│= 0.0238±0.0161. The average of generalized dimensions(D_q)for q=0,1,2,the width of the multifractal spectrum(Δα)and the spectrum arms' heights difference(│Δf│)of the segmented versions was slightly greater than the skeletonised ***:The multifractal analysis of fundus photographs may be used as a quantitative parameter for the evaluation of the complex three-dimensional structure of the retinal microvasculature as a potential marker for early detection of topological changes associated with retinal diseases.

The purpose of this paper was to describe the 3 D nano-scaled surface topography of the aluminum nitride on sapphire. The structures were prepared by magnetron sputtering with heating of the sapphire substrate. The dependence of the layers topography on the substrate temperature was presented. Surface appearance was studied by atomic force microscopy(AFM). The quantitative topography data from AFM were used for surface characterization by fractal analysis and statistical parameters. The results of fractal analysis show the correlation of fractal dimension and statistical characteristics of surface topography. The data may contribute to manufacture of AlN thin films with desired surface characteristics.

Urban environment is a complex concept that includes material structure (buildings, constructions, transport, industry, utility lines, etc.) and natural environment with a variety of anthropogenic factors. Consistent patterns and directions of development of the urban environment are interrelated with philosophy, religion, science, aesthetics, socio-economic relations, natural and climatic characteristics and culture of a particular country. According to the methodological principles of anthropologism and historism, the authors understand the urban environment as a continuum of coexistence, communication, interactions, relationships and needs of different nature and level, as a socio-cultural space of human life. Leading research workers from different scientifical branches present the urban space in contemporary anthropological versions of ontological theories as a unique space of human existence. Being a symbol of culture, the city, as the mechanism of its conversion to real forms of life, developing a socio-psychological community and the human's personality. Urban environment designers try to form the ambience under the influence of processes taking place in society at each historical stage. At the same time, the urban environment has an impact on the social well-being, worldview, attitudes, behavior and culture of the citizens. Therefore, the urban environment must meet the functional, aesthetic, spiritual, cultural human's needs, promoting to the creation of favorable conditions for his life.

The construction industry competitiveness depends on its equipping with information modeling technologies. This requires training and development of human resources. The advantages of BIM-technologies are considered. The requirements for the specialists capable of promoting information modeling technologies in the construction industry are discussed. For a wide application of BIM-technologies, the problem of training personnel with a new thinking must be solved. When preparing graduates of the major 'Construction', it is necessary to introduce innovative educational technologies aimed at building the students' ability for team work, competences in the field of modern information and communication technologies, as well as design skills basing on spatial modeling. Graphic training is the first discipline of the professional orientation for construction students. In the context of training it is important to create such learning environment that is close to a professional one. The paper provides the examples of practice-oriented assignments based on the project method in the course of students' independent work.
