Two-stage Optimal Scheduling of Community Integrated Energy system Considering Operation Sequences of Hydrogen Energy Storage systems

The hydrogen energy storage system(HESS)integrated with renewable energy power generation exhibits low reliability and flexibility under source-load *** address the above issues,a two-stage optimal scheduling model considering the operation sequences of HESSs is proposed for commercial community integrated energy systems(CIESs)with power to hydrogen and heat(P2HH)*** aims to optimize the energy flow of HESS and improve the flexibility of hydrogen production and the reliability of energy supply for ***,the refined operation model of HESS is established,and its operation model is linearized according to the operation domain of HESS,which simplifies the difficulty in solving the optimization problem under the premise of maintaining high approximate ***,considering the flexible start-stop of alkaline electrolyzer(AEL)and the avoidance of multiple energy conversions,the operation sequences of HESS are ***,a two-stage optimal scheduling model combining day-ahead economic optimization and intra-day rolling optimization is established,and the model is simulated and verified using the source-load prediction data of typical days in each *** simulation results show that the two-stage optimal scheduling reduces the total load offset by about 14%while maintaining similar operating cost to the day-ahead economic optimal ***,by formulating the operation sequences of HESS,the operating cost of CIES is reduced by up to about 4.4%.

Controllability of heterogeneous networked sampled-data systems

This study investigates the controllability of a general heterogeneous networked sampled-data system(HNSS) consisting of nonidentical node systems, where the inner coupling between any pair of nodes can be described by a unique *** signals on control and transmission channels are sampled and held by zero-order holders, and the control sampling period of each node can be different. Necessary and sufficient controllability conditions are developed for the general HNSS, using the Smith normal form and matrix equations, respectively. The HNSS in specific topology or dynamic settings is discussed subsequently with easier-to-verify conditions derived. These heterogeneous factors have been determined to independently or jointly affect the controllability of networked sampled-data systems. Notably, heterogeneous sampling periods have the potential to enhance the overall controllability, but not for systems with some special dynamics. When the node dynamics are heterogeneous,the overall system can be controllable even if it is topologically uncontrollable. In addition, in several typical heterogeneous sampled-data multi-agent systems, pathological sampling of single-node systems will necessarily cause overall uncontrollability.

electrical tree degradation is one of the main causes of insulation failure in high-frequency *** tree degradation is studied on pure epoxy resin(EP)and MgO/EP composites at frequencies ranging from 50 Hz to 130 *** results show that the tree initiation voltage of EP decreases,while the growth rate and the expansion coefficient increase with ***,the bubble phenomenon at high frequencies in EP composites is *** with trap distribution character-istics within the material,the intrinsic mechanism of epoxy composites to inhibit the growth of the electrical tree at different frequencies is *** can be concluded that more deep traps and blocking effect are introduced by doping nano-MgO into EP bulks,which can improve the electrical tree resistance performance of EP composites in a wide frequency range.

Advanced Grid-Forming Undersea Pumped Storage to Enable 100% Renewable Offshore Oilfield power systems

To advance carbon reduction of the offshore oilfield power system (OOPS), the grid-forming undersea pumped storage system (GFM-UPSS) emerges as a promising solution. This paper introduces a novel framework for a 100% renewable OOPS utilizing the GFM-UPSS. Firstly, the control strategy of the GFM-UPSS is presented. It consists of the grid-side converter (GSC), machine-side converter (MSC), and reversible pump-turbine (RPT) to achieve frequency and voltage regulation. A steady-state model is then developed detailing the water head, power, and volume of the spherical shell. In addition, the paper explores the converter parameter impacts on the GFM-UPSS transient model and derives the closed-form solutions. With the steady-state model, an optimal sizing method is presented and economic advantages in the marine environment are studied for the GFM-UPSS. Finally, EMT simulations are conducted to assess the frequency & voltage stabilities and verify the effectiveness of the GFM-UPSS in enabling a 100% renewable OOPS. The optimal sizing results show that construction costs, mainly for OWP, are dominated and are influenced by sphere radius, placement depth, and start-stop cycles, while a 2.5 capacity ratio between OWP and GFM-UPSS consistently emerges as optimal. Moreover, analysis of transient stability shows that it improves with higher frequency & voltage modulation coefficient and lower virtual impedance. The impact of RPT and MSC, mainly on frequency regulation, is determined by the DC droop coefficient and turbine inertia. © 2010-2012 IEEE.

Understanding a Type of Forced Oscillation in Grid-Forming and Grid-Following Inverter Connected systems

This article investigates a novel oscillation phenomenon in systems with grid-forming (GFM) and grid-following (GFL) inverters. Unlike previous studies that primarily focus on small-signal stability, this work explores forced oscillations (FOs), where GFL inverters act as excitation sources, inducing oscillations in GFM inverters. Specifically, interharmonics generated by maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control trigger low-frequency oscillation modes in GFM inverters. To analyze this phenomenon, the article first examines the power characteristics of the interharmonics injected by MPPT and leverages this understanding to develop a P-ω admittance model for GFM and GFL inverter connected systems. This model enables precise prediction of FO amplitudes and provides insights into the influence of factors such as the number of GFM inverters on oscillation behavior. To validate findings, hardware-in-the-loop experiments are performed to verify the observed behavior in a system consisting of photovoltaic farms with GFL control and battery energy storage systems with GFM control. Finally, merits and limitations of this work are explicitly highlighted to provide a balanced perspective. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

Correlating the Interfacial Polar-Phase Structure to the Local Chemistry in Ferroelectric Polymer Nanocomposites by Combined Scanning Probe Microscopy

Ferroelectric polymer nanocomposites possess exceptional electric properties with respect to the two otherwise uniform phases,which is commonly attributed to the critical role of the matrix-particle interfacial ***,the structure-property correlation of the interface remains unestablished,and thus,the design of ferroelectric polymer nanocompos-ite has largely relied on the trial-and-error ***,a strategy that combines multi-mode scanning probe microscopy-based electrical charac-terization and nano-infrared spectroscopy is developed to unveil the local structure-property correlation of the interface in ferroelectric polymer *** results show that the type of surface modifiers decorated on the nanoparticles can significantly influence the local polar-phase content and the piezoelectric effect of the polymer matrix surrounding the *** strongly coupled polar-phase content and piezoelectric effect measured directly in the interfacial region as well as the computed bonding energy suggest that the property enhancement originates from the formation of hydrogen bond between the surface modifiers and the ferroelectric *** is also directly detected that the local domain size of the ferroelectric polymer can impact the energy level and distribution of charge traps in the interfacial region and eventually influence the local dielectric strength.

A Bilayer High-Temperature Dielectric Film with Superior Breakdown Strength and Energy Storage Density

The further electrification of various fields in production and daily life makes it a topic worthy of exploration to improve the performance of capacitors for a long time,including thin-film *** discharge energy density of thin-film capacitors that serves as one of the important types directly depends on electric field strength and the dielectric constant of the insulation ***,it has long been a great challenge to improve the breakdown strength and dielectric constant *** that boron nitride nanosheets(BNNS)possess superior insulation and thermal conductivity owing to wide band gap and 2-dimensional structure,a bilayer polymer film is prepared via coating BNNS by solution casting on surface of polyethylene terephthalate(PET)*** revealing the bandgap and insulating behavior with UV absorption spectrum,leakage current,and finite element calculation,it is manifested that nanocoating contributes to enhance the bandgap of polymer films,thereby suppressing the charge injection by redirecting their transport from *** to note that an ultrahigh breakdown field strength(~736 MV m^(−1)),an excellent discharge energy density(~8.77 J cm^(−3))and a prominent charge-discharge efficiency(~96.51%)are achieved concurrently,which is ascribed to the contribution of BNNS ultrathin *** addition,the modified PET films also have superior comprehensive performance at high temperatures(~120°C).The materials and methods here selected are easily accessible and facile,which are suitable for large-scale roll-to-roll process production,and are of certain significance to explore the methods about film modification suitable for commercial promotion.
