Solid-state quantum emitters (QEs) are fundamental in photonic-based quantum information processing. There is strong interest to develop high-quality QEs in III-nitride semiconductors because of their sophisticated manufacturing driven by large and growing applications in optoelectronics, high voltage power transistors, and microwave amplifiers. Here, we report the generation and direct integration of QEs in an aluminium nitride-based photonic integrated circuit platform. For individual waveguide-integrated QEs, we measure an off-chip count rate exceeding 6 × 104 counts per second (cps) (saturation rate > 8.6 × 104 cps). In an unpatterned thin-film sample, we measure antibunching with g(2)(0) ~ 0.05 and photon count rates exceeding 8 × 105 cps (saturation rate > 1 × 106 cps). Although spin and detailed optical linewidth measurements are left for future work, these results already show the potential for high-quality QEs monolithically integrated in a wide range of III-nitride device technologies that would enable new quantum device opportunities and industrial scalability. Localization and exploration of robotic systems has been a highly active research area in recent years. In order to explore unknown environments with better precision, a robotic system employing surveillance and flying cameras is proposed in this paper. Specifically, a mobile robot equipped with an onboard monocular camera performs visual simultaneous localization and mapping with extended Kalman filtering (EKF-VSLAM) and moves from indoor to outdoor environments. To correct the estimation errors of the system during the task, a least squares-based correction approach is proposed. The proposed robotic system employs surveillance cameras in indoor environment and a flying camera in outdoor environment to correct estimation error from the onboard monocular camera. The proposed correction approach, integrated with the conventional EKF-VSLAM, has been validated by experiments demonstrating better precision. © 2018 The Society of Instrument and Control Engineers - SICE.

3D point clouds consisting of a lot of informatively geometric data have been playing critical roles in many applications such as 3D segmentation, polyline annotation for lane tracking, and especially in manufacturing industry. In particular, this paper proposes to apply Reinforcement Learning (RL) to resolve an automated assembly task based on 3D point cloud data. To address this task, the proposed structure is separated into 2 stages including registration stage and assembly path planning stage. Firstly, in the registration stage, one of the objects is matched to an assembled model to determine the transformation between two 3D point clouds by using RANdom Sample Consensus (RANSAC) and Iterative Closet Point (ICP). Secondly, we employ Q-learning method to train a model to make optimal decisions in assemble path planning task. The entire optimized assembly path planning task has been successfully accomplished for typical objects. Finally, the performance of the approach developed in this paper has been validated by experiments. © 2018 IEEE.

Tuneable retarder arrays, such as spatially patterned liquid crystal devices, have given rise to impressive photonic functionality, fuelling diverse applications ranging from microscopy and holography to encryption and communications. Presently these solutions are limited by the controllable degrees of freedom of structured matter, hindering applications that demand photonic systems with high flexibility and reconfigurable topologies. Here we demonstrate a compound modulator that implements a synthetic tuneable arbitrary retarder array as virtual pixels derived by cascading low functionality tuneable devices, realising full dynamic control of its arbitrary elliptical axis geometry, retardance value, and induced phase. Our approach offers unprecedented functionality that is user-defined and possesses high flexibility, allowing our modulator to act as a new beam generator, analyser, and corrector, opening an exciting path to tuneable topologies of light and matter.

Objective: This study aims to develop and validate a novel framework, iPhantom, for automated creation of patient-specific phantoms or "digital-twins (DT)" using patient medical images. The framework is applied to assess radiation dose to radiosensitive organs in CT imaging of individual patients. Method: From patient CT images, iPhantom segments selected anchor organs (e.g. liver, bones, pancreas) using a learning-based model developed for multi-organ CT segmentation. Organs challenging to segment (e.g. intestines) are incorporated from a matched phantom template, using a diffeomorphic registration model developed for multi-organ phantom-voxels. The resulting full-patient phantoms are used to assess organ doses during routine CT exams. Result: iPhantom was validated on both the XCAT (n=50) and an independent clinical (n=10) dataset with similar accuracy. iPhantom precisely predicted all organ locations with good accuracy of Dice Similarity Coefficients (DSC) >0.6 for anchor organs and DSC of 0.3-0.9 for all other organs. iPhantom showed Copyright © 2020, The Authors. In a very recent accomplishment, the two-dimensional form of Biphenylene network (BPN) has been successfully fabricated [Fan et al., science, 372, 852-856 (2021)]. Motivated by this exciting experimental result on 2D layered BPN structure, herein we perform detailed density functional theory-based first-principles calculations, for the first time, in order to gain insight into the structural, electronic and optical properties of this promising nanomaterial. Our theoretical results reveal the BPN structure is constructed from three rings of tetragon, hexagon and octagon, meanwhile the electron localization function shows very strong bonds between the C atoms in the structure. The dynamical stability of BPN is verified via the phonon band dispersion calculations. The mechanical properties reveal the brittle behavior of BPN monolayer. The Young's modulus has been computed as 0.1 TPa, which is smaller than the corresponding value of graphene, while the Poisson's ratio determined to be 0.26 is larger than that of graphene. The band structure is evaluated to show the electronic features of the material;determining the BPN monolayer as metallic with a band gap of zero. The optical properties (real and imaginary parts of the dielectric function, and the absorption spectrum) uncover BPN as an insulator along the zz direction, while owning metallic properties in xx and yy directions. We anticipate that our discoveries will pave the way to the successful implementation of this new 2D allotrope of carbon in advanced nanoelectronics. © 2021, CC BY.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a pervasive developmental disorder that will affect children in terms of interpersonal communication, social interaction, and imaginative levels in play. Many therapies to help the motor neuron performance is one of them Pretend Play. Pretend Play is a therapy that invites children in playing to demonstrate something else and tell how to use objects that are considered in the child's imagination. However, in the era of highly developed technology, many fields have used the Augmented Reality method as a visualization of various aspects. With this method researchers will present the therapeutic visualization of the block to 3D transportation tool that is useful for strengthening motor nerves and visual strength of the child. The system can run well during marker detection, marker movement, and 3D object display with the accuracy of precision angle and distance between virtual world with real world reach 100% with angle 0 at distance 31 cm and the maximum distance from the marker is 46 cm and the maximum angle is 30. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

IT Governance are one of the needs in managing Enterprise Level IT. This study shows part of the decision domain of IT Governance Help, which are IT Investment and Prioritization. The purpose of this study is to determine feasibility of implementation open source ERP system Odoo project management module that replaces current system based on operational, economic, and technical aspects. The method used are Fit / Gap Analysis and Cost Benefit model using economic impact worksheet. The analysis is done by comparing the requirement with features owned by current system and Odoo ERP system. This research resulted that Odoo ERP System is feasible in the 3 aspects, the operational feasibility Odoo reaching 72% Fit, the economic feasibility with ROI of 84%, and technical feasibility indicating the technical requirement can be fulfilled by leasing AWS server. The conclusion is the open source ERP system Odoo project management module is feasible to be applied in terms of 3 aspects that have been studied, those are operational, economic, and technical.
