Detection of Perfect Stealthy Attacks on Cyber-Physical systems Subject to Measurement Quantizations: A Watermark-Based Strategy

In this paper, the attack detection problem is investigated for a class of closed-loop systems subjected to unknownbutbounded noises in the presence of stealthy attacks. The measurement outputs from the sensors are quantized before transmission.A specific type of perfect stealthy attack, which meets certain rather stringent conditions, is taken into account. Such attacks could be injected by adversaries into both the sensor-toestimator and controller-to-actuator channels, with the aim of disrupting the normal data flow. For the purpose of defending against these perfect stealthy attacks, a novel scheme based on watermarks is developed. This scheme includes the injection of watermarks(applied to data prior to quantization) and the recovery of data(implemented before the data reaches the estimator).The watermark-based scheme is designed to be both timevarying and hidden from adversaries through incorporating a time-varying and bounded watermark signal. Subsequently, a watermark-based attack detection strategy is proposed which thoroughly considers the characteristics of perfect stealthy attacks,thereby ensuring that an alarm is activated upon the occurrence of such attacks. An example is provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed mechanism for detecting attacks.

With the extensive penetration of distributed renewable energy and self-interested prosumers,the emerging power market tends to enable user autonomy by bottom-up control and distributed *** paper is devoted to solving the specific problems of distributed energy management and autonomous bidding and peer-to-peer(P2P)energy sharing among prosumers.A novel cloud-edge-based We-Market is presented,where the prosumers,as edge nodes with independent control,balance the electricity cost and thermal comfort by formulating a dynamic household energy management system(HEMS).Meanwhile,the autonomous bidding is initiated by prosumers via the modified Stone-Geary utility *** the cloud center,a distributed convergence bidding(CB)algorithm based on consistency criterion is developed,which promotes faster and fairer bidding through the interactive iteration with the edge ***,the proposed scheme is built on top of the commercial cloud platform with sufficiently secure and scalable computing *** results show the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed We-Market,which achieves 15%cost reduction with shorter running *** analysis indicates better scalability,which is more suitable for largerscale We-Market implementation.

This paper presents Artisan, an automated operational amplifier design framework using large language models (LLMs). We develop a bidirectional representation to align abstract circuit topologies with their structural and functional semantics. We further employ Tree-of-Thoughts and Chain-of-Thoughts approaches to model the design process as a hierarchical question-answer sequence, implemented by a mechanism of multi-agent interaction. A high-quality opamp dataset is developed to enhance the design proficiency of the Artisan-LLM. Experimental results demonstrate that Artisan outperforms state-of-the-art optimization-based methods and benchmark LLMs, in success rate, circuit performance metrics, and interpretability, while accelerating the design process by up to 50.1X. Pain is a multidimensional and highly personalized sensation that affects individuals’ physical and emotional state. Visual analog scales, numeric rate indicators, and various questionnaires, all relying on patient-reported outcome measurements, are considered the "gold" standard methods for assessing the severity of pain. Nevertheless, self-report tools require cognitive, linguistic, and social abilities, which may manifest variations in certain populations such as neonates, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and those affected by dementia. The purpose of this study is to automate the process through multimodal physiological-data-driven machine-learning models in order to gain deeper insights into pain sensation. We developed a pipeline using electrocardiogram (ECG), galvanic skin response (GSR), and electromyogram (EMG), along with demographic information from the BioVid dataset. The Pan & Tompkins algorithm was applied for ECG signal processing, while statistical analysis was used for feature extraction across all signals. Our study achieved 82.83% accuracy in the SVM classification task of baseline (BL) vs the highest level of pain (PA4) for females aged 20-35. With the ever-expanding ubiquity of the Internet, wireless networks have permeated every facet of modern life, escalating concerns surrounding network security for users. Consequently, the demand for a robust Intrusion Detection System (IDS) has surged. The IDS serves as a critical bastion within the security framework, a significance further magnified in wireless networks where intrusions may stem from the deluge of sensor data. This influx of data, however, inevitably taxes the efficiency and computational speed of IDS. To address these limitations, numerous strategies for enhancing IDS performance have been posited by researchers. This paper introduces a novel feature selection method grounded in Support Vector Machine (SVM) and harnessing the innovative modified Aquila Optimizer (mAO) for Intrusion Detection systems in Wireless Sensor Networks. To evaluate the efficacy of our approach, we employed the KDD'99 dataset for testing and benchmarking against established methods. Multiple performance metrics, including accuracy, detection rate, false alarm rate, feature count, and execution time, were utilized for assessment. Our comparative analysis reveals the superiority of the proposed method, with standout results in terms of feature reduction, detection accuracy, and false alarm mitigation, yielding significant improvements of 11%, 98.76%, and 0.02%, respectively. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2023.

Vector control schemes have recently been used to drive linear induction motors(LIM)in high-performance *** trend promotes the development of precise and efficient control schemes for individual *** research aims to present a novel framework for speed and thrust force control of LIM using space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)*** framework under consideration is developed in four *** begin,MATLAB Simulink was used to develop a detailed mathematical and electromechanical *** research presents a modified SVPWM inverter control *** tuning the proportional-integral(PI)controller with a transfer function,optimized values for the PI controller are *** the subsystems mentioned above are integrated to create a robust simulation of the LIM’s precise speed and thrust force control *** reference speed values were chosen to evaluate the performance of the respective system,and the developed system’s response was verified using various data *** the low-speed range,a reference value of 10m/s is used,while a reference value of 100 m/s is used for the high-speed *** speed output response indicates that themotor reached reference speed in amatter of seconds,as the delay time is between 8 and 10 *** maximum amplitude of thrust achieved is less than 400N,demonstrating the controller’s capability to control a high-speed LIM with minimal thrust *** to the controlled speed range,the developed system is highly recommended for low-speed and high-speed and heavy-duty traction applications.
