Herein,a two-node beam element enriched based on the Lagrange and Hermite interpolation function is proposed to solve the governing equation of a functionally graded porous(FGP)curved nanobeam on an elastic foundation in a hygro–thermo–magnetic *** material properties of curved nanobeams change continuously along the thickness via a power-law distribution, and the porosity distributions are described by an uneven porosity *** effects of magnetic fields, temperature, and moisture on the curved nanobeam are assumed to result in axial loads and not affect the mechanical properties of the *** equilibrium equations of the curved nanobeam are derived using Hamilton’s principle based on various beam theories, including the classical theory,first-order shear deformation theory, and higher-order shear deformation theory, and the nonlocal elasticity *** accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparing the results obtained with those of previous reliable ***,the effects of different parameters on the free vibration behavior of the FGP curved nanobeams are investigated comprehensively.

This paper deals with the exploration of a system which acts on demand in case of emergency matter. To verify functionality, each component of the system must be regularly inspected with a specified inspection interval and tested to find latent failures. A failure-based preventive maintenance (PM) is considered, in context with the imperfect corrective maintenance model. This means that PM brings full renew which is realized after a beforehand setting the number of failures. If a failure occurs, it is detected during the first follow-up inspection and the reparation process starts. The imperfect corrective maintenance model is intended where each repair deteriorates the system life-time whose probability distribution is gradually altered through rising failure rate. Reliability mathematics for unavailability analysis is briefly demonstrated. The new renewal process model, including the failure-based PM, has been termed as a real ageing process. The imperfect corrective maintenance as well as increasing length of the inspection interval result in unwanted increase of system unavailability function which can be eliminated as well as optimized by the properly selected failure-based PM applied to all system components. If the PM is fixed due to cost, inspection intervals of system components can be optimized to keep the maximal value of the unavailability function in its original level. Sensitivity analysis applied to the length of the optimal inspection intervals with regard to gradually changing PM is demonstrated. This optimization process is demonstrated on a four-component system adopted from references.

In this paper, we present a novel visual servoing (VS) approach based on latent Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models (DDPMs), that explores the application of generative models for vision-based navigation of UAVs (Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles). Opposite to classical VS methods, the proposed approach allows reaching the desired target view, even when the target is initially not visible. This is possible thanks to the learning of a latent representation that the DDPM uses for planning and a dataset of trajectories encompassing target-invisible initial views. A compact representation is learned from raw images using a Cross-Modal Variational Autoencoder. Given the current image, the DDPM generates trajectories in the latent space driving the robotic platform to the desired visual target. The approach has been validated in simulation using two generic multi-rotor UAVs (a quadrotor and a hexarotor). The results show that we can successfully reach the visual target, even if not visible in the initial view. A video summary with simulations can be found in: https://***/2Hb3nkkcszE.

Conversational agents are increasingly present in the context of Industry 4.0, in particular for customer care applications. To be really useful, these agents must correctly recognize the users' intents in order to provide them with adequate and satisfactory answers. In this paper, we introduce an intent recognition approach that leverages Google's Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), a language representation model based on deep neural networks. The results of a comparative analysis performed on three publicly available datasets, including Kaggle, Alexa, and Converse datasets, show that the proposed approach can outperform other state-of-the-art models based on different techniques.

In a scenario where the deployment of photovoltaic (PV) systems is increasing, the characterization and the monitoring of the state of health are pivotal. To this aim, Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) provides useful information about the dynamics of PV generators. In this work, an equivalent electric ac model for the characterization of PV modules is discussed. The model is applied to experimental spectra measured on a 52Wp c-Si based PV module in outdoor conditions. The fitting problem is solved by means of two different approaches, one based on the analytic solution of the model equations which employs few points of the experimental spectrum and the other based on an optimization algorithm, requiring the whole set of frequency points. The parameters’ values obtained from both approaches are commented, providing useful information on the behavior of the PV module under test.
