Design of radio resource management (RRM) protocols in wireless networks plays a key role in the system's performance. By handling different service classes, RRM protocols must find out a trade off between the Quality of Service (QoS) requirements of real time applications and non-real time applications as well as between users and Service Providers expectations. In the current paper, Traffic Management (TM) mechanisms are combined to deal with the problem of designing multiservice RRM protocol. Particulary, we use Call Admission Control (CAC), Scheduling, and Buffer Management to ensure the QoS provisioning of the different service classes accordingly their QoS demands. Analysis of the results is outlined and the conclusions are drawn about their performance.

Ferroelectric materials have been gaining much interest over the last decades due to the unique operational characteristics they demonstrate, when a dc electric field is applied. This paper investigates the scattering analysis of electromagnetic waves from materials with high permittivity that follows a linear spatial variation along one axis. The surface integral equation (SIE) and volume integral equation (VIE) methods are invoked to compute the currents and the radar cross section (RCS). The number of unknowns for the VIE is, as expected, larger than for the SIE method. The RCS and the induced current are associated in such a way that one can approximate the linear variation with relatively few elements (unknowns).

The performance of On-Line Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems (or Data Warehouses (DW)) have a major effect on their acceptability to users. User oriented Quality of Service (QoS) of OLTP/DW system is determined with a response time, availability, consistency and currency. In this paper the relationship between the system load/throughput and the query response time has been analyzed in the real OLTP system environment. We consider the influence of the system load and the system throughput on the response time, as well as a possibility of the accurate response time prediction - whereby that mechanism may be a foundation for (automatized) decision-making for a query (or DB procedure) scheduling. The possible application of proposed method can be the estimation of the optimal moment for the data transfer from OLTP system into DW or the appropriate moment for the complex query execution.
