Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy is regarded as a powerful technique of vibrational spectroscopic imaging. Nevertheless, it is still challenging to discriminate various organelles only with spectroscopic signatures. Recently, a deep learning model was employed to predict molecular-specific fluorescence images from SRS images, paving the way for label-free organelle imaging. Here we demonstrate fluorescence prediction with an SRS/fluorescence image dataset with a larger data size (∼300 image pairs) and a larger number of hyperspectral points compared to the previous report. Taking advantage of the larger dataset, we realize accurate fluorescence prediction. © 2025 SPIE.

Various analytical methods for diverse data have been proposed with the evolution of information technology. This study focuses on relational data, comprising information on relationships between objects. Although several studies have focused on the relationships between objects, only a few have utilized attribute information. The conventional study proposed analyzing relational data with attribute information using a latent structure model. However, the model assumes that both attribute information and relational data are generated by a single latent variable. Furthermore the model does not effectively handle missing values in relational data. Therefore, in this study, we modify the conventional latent structure analysis model for relational data with attribute information, which assumes that latent variables have various types of structures, and derived a method for estimating its parameters. In addition, we apply the proposed model to cases when the relational data contain missing values. The effectiveness of our proposed method is demonstrated through simulation experiments on synthetic dataset.

The article describes a new method for malware classification,based on a Machine Learning(ML)model architecture specifically designed for malware detection,enabling real-time and accurate malware *** an innovative feature dimensionality reduction technique called the Interpolation-based Feature Dimensionality Reduction Technique(IFDRT),the authors have significantly reduced the feature space while retaining critical information necessary for malware *** technique optimizes the model’s performance and reduces computational *** proposed method is demonstrated by applying it to the BODMAS malware dataset,which contains 57,293 malware samples and 77,142 benign samples,each with a 2381-feature *** the IFDRT method,the dataset is transformed,reducing the number of features while maintaining essential data for accurate *** evaluation results show outstanding performance,with an F1 score of 0.984 and a high accuracy of 98.5%using only two reduced *** demonstrates the method’s ability to classify malware samples accurately while minimizing processing *** method allows for improving computational efficiency by reducing the feature space,which decreases the memory and time requirements for training and *** new method’s effectiveness is confirmed by the calculations,which indicate significant improvements in malware classification accuracy and *** research results enhance existing malware detection techniques and can be applied in various cybersecurity applications,including real-timemalware detection on resource-constrained *** and scientific contribution lie in the development of the IFDRT method,which provides a robust and efficient solution for feature reduction in ML-based malware classification,paving the way for more effective and scalable cybersecurity measures.

Depressive Disorders (DD) is one of the most prevalent mental disorders in the world that may lead to suicide cases. To prevent the latter, ubiquitous early detection systems may be effective. Recent studies have since researched the development of such systems by exploiting several forms of data, including video, audio, Ecological Momentary Assessments (EMA), and passive sensing data using sensors embedded in mobile devices. To summarize the trends, opportunities, and existing challenges in this field, this study reviewed 15 papers to answer four research questions. EMA was the most popular data to be used in this task, but other approaches, such as using video, audio, and typing behaviors, may be considered due to the subjectivity of EMA. These data were typically recorded using smartphones and analyzed using Machine Learning (ML). However, most of the developed systems had yet to be implemented. Overall, it was concluded that further studies may need to explore usages of more objective data in multimodal approaches as well as consider using Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) to deploy these systems to provide more effective and efficient diagnoses. Future studies must also take into account the existing challenges of the data and infrastructures, such as the weaknesses of several data types, limitations of mobile devices, as well as the challenges of diagnosis approaches. © 2023 IEEE.

The rise of Internet of Things (IoT) networks has introduced new opportunities for innovation but also increased vulnerability to cyberattacks, particularly Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks. Traditional detection and mitigation mechanisms often struggle to handle the dynamic and distributed nature of IoT systems. In this study, we propose a Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning (MADRL) framework designed to detect and mitigate DDoS attacks in IoT networks in real-time. The framework consists of multiple collaborative agents, each deployed at different network layers or nodes, trained using deep reinforcement learning to identify attack patterns and take immediate mitigation actions. Through cooperative learning, these agents adapt to evolving attack strategies and optimize defense policies. Experimental evaluations demonstrate that the proposed MADRL framework outperforms traditional techniques by achieving higher detection accuracy, faster response times, and reduced false positive rates. Our results indicate that this framework can effectively secure IoT networks against complex DDoS attacks, maintaining network stability and availability. © 2024 IEEE.

The shift towards the renewable energy market for carbon-neutral power generation has encouraged different governments to come up with a plan of *** with the endorsement of renewable energy for harsh environmental conditions like sand dust and snow,monitoring and maintenance are a few of the prime *** problems were addressed widely in the literature,but most of the research has drawbacks due to long detection time,and high misclassification *** to overcome these drawbacks,and to develop an accurate monitoring approach,this paper is motivated toward the understanding of primary failure concerning a grid-connected photovoltaic(PV)system and highlighted along with a brief overview on existing fault detection *** on the drawback a data-driven machine learning approach has been used for the identification of fault and indicating the maintenance unit regarding the operation and maintenance ***,the system was tested with a 4 kWp grid-connected PV system,and a decision tree-based algorithm was developed for the identification of a *** results identified 94.7%training accuracy and 14000 observations/sec prediction speed for the trained classifier and improved the reliability of fault detection nature of the grid-connected PV operation.

Innovative grid technology leverages information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance energy efficiency and mitigate losses. This paper introduces a 'novel three-tier hierarchical framework for smart homes within the Internet of Things (IoT)' ecosystem, addressing the current shortage of intelligent solutions that underutilize IoT advantages. Our framework's primary objective is to elevate smart homes to the microgrid level, enabling the seamless integration from the microgrid's renewable distributed energy sources and attaining maximum energy efficiency. In addition to traditional data processing, we propose the application of fog computing in smart homes. Through a rigorous simulation using real smart meter datasets, our study demonstrates that fog computing, mainly when using predictive filtering, may drastically cut down on the amount of data being sent and the load on the home's network. This innovation holds immense potential for revolutionizing energy management and resource allocation in the context of smart homes, thus contributing to a sustainable and efficient future. This research represents a critical step towards harnessing the power of IoT and fog computing in smart grids and homes, offering a promising path towards more intelligent, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient living spaces. © 2024 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence(AI) systems surpass certain human intelligence abilities in a statistical sense as a whole, but are not yet the true realization of these human intelligence abilities and behaviors. There are differences, and even contradictions, between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. With the goal of achieving general AI, this study contains a review of the role of cognitive science in inspiring the development of the three mainstream academic branches of AI based on the three-layer framework proposed by David Marr, and the limitations of the current development of AI are explored and analyzed. The differences and inconsistencies between the cognition mechanisms of the human brain and the computation mechanisms of AI systems are analyzed. They are found to be the cause of the differences and contradictions between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. Additionally, eight important research directions and their scientific issues that need to focus on braininspired AI research are proposed: highly imitated bionic information processing, a large-scale deep learning model that balances structure and function, multi-granularity joint problem solving bidirectionally driven by data and knowledge, AI models that simulate specific brain structures, a collaborative processing mechanism with the physical separation of perceptual processing and interpretive analysis, embodied intelligence that integrates the brain cognitive mechanism and AI computation mechanisms,intelligence simulation from individual intelligence to group intelligence(social intelligence), and AI-assisted brain cognitive intelligence.

At present, there exist some problems in granular clustering methods, such as lack of nonlinear membership description and global optimization of granular data boundaries. To address these issues, in this study, revolving around the parabolic granular data, we propose an overall architecture for parabolic granular modeling and clustering. To begin with, novel coverage and specificity functions are established, and then a parabolic granular data structure is proposed. The fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm is used to obtain the numeric prototypes, and then particle swarm optimization (PSO) is introduced to construct the parabolic granular data from the global perspective under the guidance of principle of justifiable granularity (PJG). Combining the advantages of FCM and PSO, we propose the parabolic granular modeling and optimization (PGMO) method. Moreover, we put forward attribute weights and sample weights as well as a distance measure induced by the Gaussian kernel similarity, and then come up with the algorithm of weighted kernel fuzzy clustering for parabolic granularity (WKFC-PG). In addition, the assessment mechanism of parabolic granular clustering is discussed. In summary, we set up an overall architecture including parabolic granular modeling, clustering, and assessment. Finally, comparative experiments on artificial, UCI, and high-dimensional datasets validate that our overall architecture delivers a good improvement over previous strategies. The parameter analysis and time complexity are also given for WKFC-PG. In contrast with related granular clustering algorithms, it is observed that WKFC-PG performs better than other granular clustering algorithms and has superior stability in handling outliers, especially on high-dimensional datasets. © 2020 IEEE.

Advancement in wireless transmission has enabled the communication among multiple devices all over the world, as well as expanding the frontiers of wireless Internet access. As a result of these advancement, numerous devices are questing for wireless connectivity thereby congesting the existing spectrum. If new measures are not taken to reduce depletion of the reserved radio resource, new allocations of wireless Internet access will be impossible, thereby risking the development of the entire wireless ecosystem. The demands for resourceful spectrum consumption have continually driven researchers and stakeholders in the wireless industry to search for spare radio spectrum to offer affordable and reliable wireless connectivity. The TV broadcasting is not fully utilizing the spectrum in some geographical zone. These TV unused spaces called TV White Spaces (TVWS), are well-thought-out to be the probable future resolutions for unavailability of spectrum. The low frequency band (470 to 694 MHz) of the unutilized TV channel has exceptional broadcast features over extensive distances and enables transmissions through high-rise buildings, trees, and mountains. These features allow the applications of TVWS in Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor network, wireless connectivity, wireless switching, smart grid and cities, automated transportation, and logistics as well as connectivity in cloud infrastructure. This paper presents a study on the advantages and benefits of television white space as an alternative to wireless broadband connectivity. © 2023 IEEE.
