Voltage imbalance(VI)is caused by the difference in connected single-phase load or generation in a low voltage distribution network(DN).VI increase in a smart distribution grid is due to the current practice of increasing single-phase distributed generators such as photovoltaic(PV)*** paper proposes a decentralized control method to mitigate VI using distributed batteries included in smart grid interfaced residential PV *** mitigate VI using the batteries in this way,five challenges must be overcome,i.e.,equalizing all battery stress currents within the DN,mitigating VI in abnormal conditions such as signal loss among bus controllers,being immune from the distorted feedback measurements,minimizing the steady-state error at different loads,and overcoming the insufficient number or capacity of the distributed batteries at the same *** fuzzy logic controllers(FLC)are proposed at each bus to overcome these five tasks based on a decentralized control *** proposed decentralized control based on FLC is compared with centralized control based on a PI *** proposed control method is tested and verified using simulations in the MATLAB/Simulink software,and the results validate the ability of the scheme to alleviate VI on a smart distribution network under both normal and abnormal conditions.

Dear Editor,This letter is concerned with prescribed-time Nash equilibrium(PTNE)seeking problem in a pursuit-evasion game(PEG)involving agents with second-order *** order to achieve the prior-given and user-defined convergence time for the PEG,a PTNE seeking algorithm has been developed to facilitate collaboration among multiple pursuers for capturing the evader without the need for any global ***,it is theoretically proved that the prescribedtime convergence of the designed algorithm for achieving Nash equilibrium of ***,the effectiveness of the PTNE method was validated by numerical simulation results.A PEG consists of two groups of agents:evaders and *** pursuers aim to capture the evaders through cooperative efforts,while the evaders strive to evade *** is a classic noncooperative *** has attracted plenty of attention due to its wide application scenarios,such as smart grids[1],formation control[2],[3],and spacecraft rendezvous[4].It is noteworthy that most previous research on seeking the Nash equilibrium of the game,where no agent has an incentive to change its actions,has focused on asymptotic and exponential convergence[5]-[7].

To enhance the performance of the prediction intervals (PIs), a novel very short-term probabilistic prediction method for wind speed via nonlinear quantile regression (NQR) based on adaptive least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (ALASSO) and integrated criterion (IC) is proposed. The ALASSO method is studied for shrinkage of output weights and selection of variables. Furthermore, for the better performance of PIs, composite weighted linear programming (CWLP) is proposed to modify the conventional linear programming cost function of quantile regression (QR), by combining it with Bayesian information criterion (BIC) as an IC to optimize the coefficients of PIs. Then, the multiple fold cross model (MFCM) is utilized to improve the PIs performance. Multistep probabilistic prediction of 15-minute wind speed is performed based on the real wind farm data from the northeast of China. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated through the performances' comparisons with conventional methods.

The hyperloop idea, which is one of the most ecofriendly, low-carbon emissions, and fossil fuel-efficient modes of transportation, has recently become quite popular. In this study, a double-sided linear induction motor(LIM) with 500 W of output power, 60 N of thrust force and 200 V/38.58 Hz of supply voltage was designed to be used in hyperloop development competition hosted by the scientific and technological research council of turkey(TüB?TAK) rail transportation technologies institute(RUTE). In contrast to the studies in the literature, concentrated winding is preferred instead of distributed winding due to mechanical constraints. The electromagnetic design of LIM, whose mechanical and electrical requirements were determined considering the hyperloop development competition, was carried out by following certain steps. Then, the designed model was simulated and analyzed by finite element method(FEM), and the necessary optimizations have been performed to improve the motor characteristics. By examining the final model, the applicability of the concentrated winding type LIM for hyperloop technology has been investigated. Besides, the effects of primary material, railway material, and mechanical air-gap length on LIM performance were also investigated. In the practical phase of the study, the designed LIM has been prototyped and tested. The validation of the experimental results was achieved through good agreement with the finite element analysis results.
