Switching power supplies are widely used in aerospace, new energy and many other fields. During long-term operation, various electronic components in these supplies experience performance degradation due to continuous electrical and thermal stress, leading to changes in output characteristics. This is the fundamental reason affecting the reliability of switching power supplies. However, the current combination of physics of failure (PoF) models and simulation technique is imperfect, and most methods cannot achieve batch injection of multiple device failures. This paper proposes a reliability prediction simulation method for switching power supplies based on PoF model injection. By focusing on a switching circuit, the approach involves digital twin modeling and validation, failure mechanism and sensitivity analysis, key failure components degradation modeling, and batch degradation simulation. This method achieves continuous degradation data of multiple components based on the PoF model through batch injection, improving the efficiency and accuracy of reliability prediction for switching power supplies. © 2024 IEEE.

Nowadays, information and knowledge represent the fundamental wealth of an organisation. Enterprises try to utilise this wealth to gain advantage when making decisions such as a project’s acceptance. After a project finishes, a quality management plan defines its quality level. The business intelligence theories help the individual to evaluate the proposed plan in order to target the project’s results. But, do all the evaluation methods have the same reliability? We check the project’s quality by using paper and online questionnaire administration. Although the scope is the same, there are differences, giving different results. So, we intelligently investigated the quality of the university educational process. The results show that the administration method has a significant effect on overall results. Thus, the quality check of a project using questionnaires needs to have an attentive design, avoid points that introduce uncertainties and able to show the real opinion of the respondents. This paper presents an innovative approach to optimize traffic networks in a supplier-customer system based on specific strategies of game theory. The traffic network is represented as a routing configuration in which the arcs represent various possible roads between supplier and customer entities, each route having an associated transport cost for the product unit. The game structure is defined by a matrix of transport costs between the players, supplier and customer, with their corresponding strategies. Based on these costs, the game matrix is built to which the existing quantities in warehouses are added, respectively the quantities requested by the final customers. By solving the game associated to the transportation traffic network, the different strategies are proposed for choosing the optimal solution. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach and recommend some performant procedures for solving the game, such as Hurwicz, Laplace and Savage, close to optimal solution. This research opens new directions for management optimization in other domains such as comunication, electrical and administrativ networks. © 2024 The Authors.

This article proposes an iterative-based algorithm for open-loop equilibrium seeking in a two-agent noncooperative dynamic game. The finite-horizon dynamic games handled in almost all existing articles assume the common prediction horizon length. From the viewpoint of divergence and differences in personal values, it is socially rational to solve the equilibrium of the games with asymmetric prediction horizon length. We thus propose an open-loop equilibrium-seeking algorithm without the private knowledge of the other agent's horizon information through a receding-horizon linear-quadratic game. Our proposed algorithm is based on iterative optimization. Each agent obtains its own best response control strategy while estimating the other agent's state feedback gain from the state information and guaranteeing the stability of the whole system. We also discuss the performance of the proposed equilibrium-seeking algorithm through numerical examples. © 2023 Chinese automatic control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd.

The field of quantum computing has developed rapidly in recent years due to its promising trend of surpassing traditional machine learning in terms of speed and effectiveness. Quantum kernel learning is one of the paradigms of quantum machine learning, but the training of quantum kernel is time consuming. Therefore, this work makes the first attempt to introduce a consensus-based distributed approach to quantum kernel learning - named CDQKL - that only requires to exchange model parameter information between adjacent nodes while avoiding the need of sharing local training data. Through comparative experimental studies, the advantages of CDQKL in classification accuracy and convergence speed are verified. Considering the popularization of quantum computing cloud service and miniaturization of quantum terminals, the CDQKL adapting to this trend is able to play a vital role in data security, which implies the far-reaching significance of this work. Faults on distribution networks due to abnormal weather events can lead to disruption and can cause high socio-economic losses. In line with the rising frequency of such events, the paper proposes an algorithm for the optimal deployment of mobile battery units to restore sections of the network. The considered battery units are rated at 1MVA to keep them realistic for the mobile application. The placement algorithm is formulated as a mixed integer mathematical optimisation problem. Sectionalising/tie switches are assumed on each branch of the network in order to increase the restoration configuration flexibility. Photovoltaic systems, distributed along the network, are allowed to contribute to the restored network sections. A number of critical loads are defined and these are prioritised in the restoration process. The objective function also considers the reduction of the overall renewable energy curtailment. The performance of the algorithm is tested on the IEEE 33 bus network with four tie lines. Scenarios with increasing levels of PV power are considered and the effect of incorporating the PV power is studied. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

To design active analog, discrete-analog and digital filters a new method is suggested, taking into account the conditions of selective invariance and using the internal models principle of the dynamic systems. For this purpose, the structure of each basic filter ensures the presence of an explicit spectral model of the filtered signal. Such a filter is selectively invariant, and this property depend only on the spectrum-setting parameters and do not depend on other parameters. It is suggest-ed to carry out the design of the combined selective filters by integration of the suggested basic second-order filters, focusing on the log magnitude plot of the latter. This makes possible to minimize the order of the combined both analog and digital filters. The combined selective filters are distinguished by high stability of selective properties and can be used in the systems for measurement, signal processing, data transmission, as well as automatic and automated control of various social, production and special facilities. © 2024 IEEE.

The paper describes the energy consumption from the battery based on the current measurements for various cases, i.e., speed (PWL adjustment) and loads. The main purpose of the research is to have additional and reliable information about power consumption and battery life estimation for autonomous guided vehicles (AGV). The authors propose a two-step algorithm. In the first step, a linear classifier was proposed. Then, the KNN classifier was tested;however, it did not give satisfactory results, so it was finally decided to use the random forest to estimate the load and PWL. The time domain current measurement is evaluated, and the beforementioned algorithms process the selected statistical measures. It has been proven that a two-step algorithm allows for achieving high accuracy. Based on the current observation, the paper is a good starting point for further investigation of the AGV because it is usually implemented in the AGV - so it does not require additional hardware. Moreover, it can lead to better energy management and increase battery lifetime. © 2023 IEEE.

The superior performance of object detectors is often established under the condition that the test samples are in the same distribution as the training data. However, in many practical applications, out-of-distribution (OOD) instances are inevitable and usually lead to uncertainty in the results. In this paper, we propose a novel, intuitive, and scalable probabilistic object detection method for OOD detection. Unlike other uncertainty-modeling methods that either require huge computational costs to infer the weight distributions or rely on model training through synthetic outlier data, our method is able to distinguish between in-distribution (ID) data and OOD data via weight parameter sampling from proposed Gaussian distributions based on pre-trained networks. We demonstrate that our Bayesian object detector can achieve satisfactory OOD identification performance by reducing the FPR95 score by up to 8.19% and increasing the AUROC score by up to 13.94% when trained on BDD100k and VOC datasets as the ID datasets and evaluated on COCO2017 dataset as the OOD dataset. © 2023 International Society of Information Fusion.
