Mobile prices play a pivotal role in determining their popularity amongst consumers and their competitive standing within the market. As customers consider their budget while evaluating a mobile phone's specifications and design, estimating the price beforehand becomes essential to cater to their needs and expectations. Hence, accurately forecasting mobile phone prices is a vital step in the product launch process to remain competitive and assess the market dynamics and competitors. The primary aim of this research is to determine the true market value of mobile phones. In this research, the dataset was extracted by means of utilizing a web scraping process from the flipkart website. The main objective of this research is to fetch the most recent dataset based on the most recent features. The extracted dataset is fitted into regression models such as linear regression, decision tree regressor, random forest regressor, KNN regressor, and gradient boosting regressor and performs the comparative analysis. The models are evaluated based on the mean absolute error metric.

Neural Multi-Objective Combinatorial Optimization with Diversity Enhancement

Most of existing neural methods for multi-objective combinatorial optimization (MOCO) problems solely rely on decomposition, which often leads to repetitive solutions for the respective subproblems, thus a limited Pareto set. Beyond decomposition, we propose a novel neural heuristic with diversity enhancement (NHDE) to produce more Pareto solutions from two perspectives. On the one hand, to hinder duplicated solutions for different subproblems, we propose an indicator-enhanced deep reinforcement learning method to guide the model, and design a heterogeneous graph attention mechanism to capture the relations between the instance graph and the Pareto front graph. On the other hand, to excavate more solutions in the neighborhood of each subproblem, we present a multiple Pareto optima strategy to sample and preserve desirable solutions. Experimental results on classic MOCO problems show that our NHDE is able to generate a Pareto front with higher diversity, thereby achieving superior overall performance. Wireless Charger Network (WCN) emerges as a promising networking paradigm, employing wireless chargers with Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology to provide long-term and sustainable energy supply for future networks. Although extensive research has been conducted in this area over the last decade, there is currently no comprehensive survey to compile the latest literature and provide insights into future research directions. To fill this gap, our survey explores the recent developments in the active research area of WCNs. This paper starts by providing a framework of WCNs in detail, covering aspects of network architecture, various charging models, network design issues, and typical applications of WCNs. Then, we give an overview of charger deployment schemes, focusing on omnidirectional, directional, non-radiative, and heterogeneous charger deployments. We also provide an overview of charging scheduling schemes, encompassing power control, time allocation, energy beamforming, and multi-resource scheduling. Moreover, we explore communication optimization schemes, including Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols, routing protocols, broadcast transmission, and data collection. Finally, we highlight some future research directions and present corresponding open issues to advance the research on WCNs. © 1998-2012 IEEE.

Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance. © 2023 IEEE.

Industrial Internet of Things can improve critical infrastructure in energy, transportation, and manufacturing. However, IIoT device and system integration opened security weaknesses that bad actors may exploit, causing huge disruptions and financial losses. IoT network security and privacy must be prioritized to protect key infrastructure. IIoT security issues and solutions are examined in this research. First, we take a look at the state of security and the unique risks that industrial IoT devices are up against, including hacking, illegal access, and cyber-physical assaults. Then, to lessen the impact of these dangers, we investigate cutting-edge security solutions, such as authentication, encryption, and access control systems. Building a robust security architecture specifically for IIoT applications is one of the main goals of the project. To improve safety and anonymity, this system uses cutting-edge innovation like blockchain, AI, and edge computing. We also talk about how privacy-preserving methods like differential privacy and anonymization are important for keeping sensitive information safe while allowing data sharing for analysis and operations. We assess the efficacy of the suggested security protocols and procedures using a battery of case studies and simulations. Reducing the attack surface and improving the resilience of IIoT systems can be achieved by a multi-layered security approach that includes effective privacy protections. We conclude by outlining our research's larger implications, which include the importance of standardization, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder collaboration in ensuring the safe and privacy-protecting deployment of IIoT technologies in vital infrastructure. Protecting vital infrastructure from cyber threats is our ultimate goal, and our work helps build IIoT systems that are more secure and dependable.

Off-road autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs) work in unstructured environments with varied elevation and deformable ground, where vehicle-terrain interactions are more complex resulting in unpredictable dynamics behavior. Current sensor-based hazards/obstacle identification methods mainly focus on geometric hazards/obstacles with explicit geometry, which might be adequate for vehicles in on-road conditions. However, in the off-road environment, vehicle-terrain interactions could introduce non-geometric hazards that cannot be detected by current geometric hazards-oriented sensing techniques, e.g. vehicle stuck in mud. To enable AGVs to traverse the target terrain and meet the goal while avoiding non-geometric hazards, this work proposes a motion planning method integrated with coupled vehicle-terrain dynamics response. Specifically, terramechanics-based modeling and simulation (M&S) is utilized to characterize vehicle-terrain interactions. Based on the dynamics response, a reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm with a specialized reward function is used to navigate the AGV to find the goal with high mobility and safety. We demonstrate the proposed method with two case studies, 1) high mobility is the foremost concern with less safety requirement, and 2) both high mobility and safety are required. The results show that the proposed motion planning method is effective for navigating the AGV in off-road terrains. © 2024 IEEE.

Multiplexed bi-layered realization of fault-tolerant quantum computation over optically networked trapped-ion modules

We study an architecture for fault-tolerant measurement-based quantum computation (FT-MBQC) over optically-networked trapped-ion modules. The architecture is implemented with a finite number of modules and ions per module, and leverages photonic interactions for generating remote entanglement between modules and local Coulomb interactions for intra-modular entangling gates. We focus on generating the topologically protected Raussendorf-Harrington-Goyal (RHG) lattice cluster state, which is known to be robust against lattice bond failures and qubit noise, with the modules acting as lattice sites. To ensure that the remote entanglement generation rates surpass the bond-failure tolerance threshold of the RHG lattice, we employ spatial and temporal multiplexing. For realistic system timing parameters, we estimate the code cycle time of the RHG lattice and the ion resources required in a bi-layered implementation, where the number of modules matches the number of sites in two lattice layers, and qubits are reinitialized after measurement. For large distances between modules, we incorporate quantum repeaters between sites and analyze the benefits in terms of cumulative resource requirements. Finally, we derive and analyze a qubit noise-tolerance threshold inequality for the RHG lattice generation in the proposed architecture that accounts for noise from various sources. This includes the depolarizing noise arising from the photonically-mediated remote entanglement generation between modules due to finite optical detection efficiency, limited visibility, and presence of dark clicks, in addition to the noise from imperfect gates and measurements, and memory decoherence with time. Our work thus underscores the hardware and channel threshold requirements to realize distributed FT-MBQC in a leading qubit platform today—trapped ions. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Digital identity has always been one of the keystones for implementing secure and trustworthy communications among parties. The ever-evolving digital landscape has undergone numerous technological transformations that have profoundly reshaped digital identity management, leading to a major shift from centralized to decentralized identity models. The latest stage of this evolution is represented by the emerging paradigm of Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), which gives identity owners full control over their data. SSI leverages Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs), which have been recently standardized by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These technologies have the potential to build more secure and decentralized digital identity systems, significantly strengthening communication security in scenarios involving many distributed participants. It is worth noting that use of DIDs and VCs is not limited to individuals but extends to a wide range of entities including cloud, edge, and Internet of Things (IoT) resources. However, due to their novelty, existing literature lacks a comprehensive survey on DIDs and VCs beyond the scope of SSI. This paper fills this gap by providing a comprehensive overview of DIDs and VCs from multiple perspectives. It identifies key security threats and mitigation strategies, analyzes available implementations to guide practitioners in making informed decisions, and reviews the adoption of these technologies across various application domains. Moreover, it also examines related regulations, projects, and consortiums emerging worldwide. Finally, it discusses the primary challenges hindering their real-world adoption and outlines future research directions. © 2024, CC BY.

This paper presents a multi-layer software architecture to perform cooperative missions with a fleet of quad-rotors providing support in electrical power line inspection operations. The proposed software framework guarantees the compliance with safety requirements between drones and human workers while ensuring that the mission is carried out successfully. Besides, cognitive capabilities are integrated in the multi-vehicle system in order to reply to unforeseen events and external disturbances. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed architecture are demonstrated by means of realistic simulations. © 2021 IEEE.
