we introduced image encryption algorithms with high sensitivity, such that even a single alteration in a plain-text image would result in a complete transformation of the ciphered image. The first algorithm employed pixel values in a substitution approach, whereas the second algorithm utilized pixel values to generate chaotic function keys. Additionally, we employed a Rossler chaotic function with pixel data to generate chaotic values for the shuffling and substitution processes. After subjecting these algorithms to rigorous testing using standard metrics, our experiments revealed the efficiency of the algorithms in image encryption. Notably, even a minute change in the original image resulted in a vastly different ciphered image. These proposed algorithms underscored the effectiveness of integrating chaotic functions with pixel information, significantly enhancing image security. © 2024 IEEE.

Machine learning (ML) has developed at a superlative rate, accompanying requests spanning various fields. This research investigates the experience of strength data, exceptionally the request of machine learning (ML) algorithms to a Body Mass Index (BMI) dataset. This predicting plan uses dossier analysis methods to extractable intuitions from a big number of diabetes-accompanying facts. Its basic aim is to correctly determine a patient's risk of diabetes. We've working categorization plans to a degree Decision Tree, Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Naive Bayes, and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms to cultivate the model. These outcomes show the influence of the subsystems in thinking diabetes risk admit a large size of veracity. This predictive finish can create a meaningful dissimilarity in labeling at-risk things early and providing bureaucracy with essential care and counseling before the ailment progresses. In summary, our machine intelligence-located scheme offers a natural still strong solution to call the risk of diabetes in subjects. Poverty is considered a serious global issue that must be immediately eradicated by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, namely ending poverty anywhere and in any form. As a developing country, poverty is a complex issue faced by Indonesia. Tackling poverty in Indonesia has become a key focus of the government’s strategic priorities. This issue of poverty is experienced by all provinces in Indonesia, including Central Java. The poverty rate in Central Java stands at 10.77% or 3.79 million people. The causes of poverty are explained by several factors. Using these various factors, a mapping model can be conducted to determine the number of poor populations in Central Java. This research employs Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and Mixed Geographically Weighted Regression (MGWR) approaches to compare the effectiveness of these models in analyzing the number of poor populations in Central Java in 2023. The kernel function weighting used in this study is Fixed Gaussian. The results showed that the MGWR model outperformed both the OLS regression and GWR models, achieving an Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) of 62.766, an R2 of 82.3%, and a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.177. Consequently, it can be inferred that the MGWR model was more suitable for explaining the poverty levels in Central Java. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

Smart home automation is protective and preventive measures that are taken to monitor elderly people in a non-intrusive manner using simple and pervasive sensors termed Ambient Assistive Living. The smart home produces a large volume of sensor activations to predict an elder’s health status to improve the quality of life and independent living. Machine learning techniques are very familiar and popular in recognizing single resident activities using such a sensor reading. However, multi-resident activities are more complex, and no correlation exists between sensor readings and activities. Recently deep learning and graphical models have been proposed to solve this problem, but it consumes more time to train the model. Moreover, models are primarily executed in parallel, or multi-resident activity recognition has been converted to single for classifying events. This paper proposes a Multi-label Multi-output Hybrid Sequential Model (MLMO-HSM), a feature engineering approach with a hybrid sequential model to recognize the multi-resident activities concurrently in the shortest time. Experimentation has been performed with various machine learning, graphical and deep learning models at the different sizes of the ARAS dataset to validate the efficiency of the proposed model in terms of activity recognition and computation time. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

The Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)is a network that is constructed in regions that are inaccessible to human *** widespread deployment of wireless micro sensors will make it possible to conduct accurate environmental monitoring for a use in both civil and military *** make use of these data to monitor and keep track of the physical data of the surrounding environment in order to ensure the sustainability of the *** data have to be picked up by the sensor,and then sent to the sink node where they may be *** nodes of the WSNs are powered by batteries,therefore they eventually run out of *** energy restriction has an effect on the network life span and environmental *** objective of this study is to further improve the Engroove Leach(EL)protocol’s energy efficiency so that the network can operate for a very long time while consuming the least amount of *** lifespan of WSNs is being extended often using clustering and routing *** Meta Inspired Hawks Fragment Optimization(MIHFO)system,which is based on passive clustering,is used in this study to do *** cluster head is chosen based on the nodes’residual energy,distance to neighbors,distance to base station,node degree,and node *** on distance,residual energy,and node degree,an algorithm known as Heuristic Wing Antfly Optimization(HWAFO)selects the optimum path between the cluster head and Base Station(BS).They examine the number of nodes that are active,their energy consumption,and the number of data packets that the BS *** overall experimentation is carried out under the MATLAB *** the analysis,it has been discovered that the suggested approach yields noticeably superior outcomes in terms of throughput,packet delivery and drop ratio,and average energy consumption.

Using underwater robots instead of humans for the inspection of coastal piers can enhance efficiency while reducing risks. A key challenge in performing these tasks lies in achieving efficient and rapid path planning within complex environments. Sampling-based path planning methods, such as Rapidly-exploring Random Tree* (RRT*), have demonstrated notable performance in high-dimensional spaces. In recent years, researchers have begun designing various geometry-inspired heuristics and neural network-driven heuristics to further enhance the effectiveness of RRT*. However, the performance of these general path planning methods still requires improvement when applied to highly cluttered underwater environments. In this paper, we propose PierGuard, which combines the strengths of bidirectional search and neural network-driven heuristic regions. We design a specialized neural network to generate high-quality heuristic regions in cluttered maps, thereby improving the performance of the path planning. Through extensive simulation and real-world ocean field experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed method compared with previous research. Our method achieves approximately 2.6 times the performance of the state-of-the-art geometric-based sampling method and nearly 4.9 times that of the state-of-the-art learning-based sampling method. Our results provide valuable insights for the automation of pier inspection and the enhancement of maritime safety. (Video1). © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Semantic segmentation plays an important role in computer perception tasks. Integrating the rich details of RGB images with the illumination robustness of thermal infrared (TIR) images is a promising approach for achieving reliable semantic scene understanding. Current approaches for RGB-Thermal semantic segmentation often overlook the unique characteristics exhibited by each modality at different encoding layers and underutilize the complementary information between the two modalities during decoding. To acquire complementary cross-modality encoding and decoding features, we propose a multi-branch differential bidirectional fusion network known as MDBFNet. Firstly, it models the dependencies between the modality-specific characteristics and the different encoding layers, and designs a TIR-led detail enhancement module (TDE) and an RGB-led semantic enhancement module (RSE) to guide distinguishable fusion for different layer features. Secondly, a three-branch fusion decoder with three supervision (TFDS) is proposed to thoroughly explore the complementary decoding features between two modalities. Experiments on MFNet and PST900 datasets show that our method surpasses state-of-the-art methods by a clear margin. IEEE

Cybersecurity is a field that unifies concepts from various fundamental areas: mathematics, physics, computer science, electronics, sociology, and management. This field is challenging for government authorities, academic institutions, and private entities alike. By pooling the resources of these three actors, we can build secure and resilient systems. In this context, several challenges emerge, such as the exchange of knowledge and expertise, collaborative research projects, the organization of internships and scholarship programs, the exchange of threat intelligence, training, and awareness, and finally, the standardization and regulatory component. The evolving nature of cyber threats and the growing sophistication of attackers necessitate robust and adaptable security frameworks. A "defense-in-depth security model" is mandatory in this context as it offers multiple layers of protection, ensuring that if one defense mechanism fails, others remain in place to prevent breaches. In this paper, we propose a defense-in-depth security model and highlight how key points within the model can be interconnected. © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. All rights reserved.

In the past few years, image processing has been widely adopted for symptom diagnosis of medical application. To achieve accurate analysis, the medical applications require high quality image for applying to the symptom diagnosis applications. However, the medical image quality may drop due to the imperfection of devices and the environment. Noise is one of the most critical factors that reduces the image quality where the noise may form by combining two types of noises. In this paper, we considered four well-known mixed noise filters including TF, BM3D, NCSR and OSBF filters. Since the OSBF filter is the alternative version of SBF filter that requires to determine the optimal weights, therefore we first determine the optimal weights for the medical image under the combination of Gaussian noise and salt-and-pepper noise. Then, we evaluate the filtering performance under three metrics including PSNR, SSIM and filtering time. As a result, OSBF filter achieves the best filtering performance since it can reduce the noise effect, preserve image details and consumes the short filtering time. On the other hand, the filtering performance of the TF filter suffers from the combining of salt-and-pepper noise. © 2024 IEEE.

The recent development of channel technology has promised to reduce the transaction verification time in blockchain *** transactions are transmitted through the channels created by nodes,the nodes need to cooperate with each *** one party refuses to do so,the channel is unstable.A stable channel is thus *** nodes may show uncooperative behavior,they may have a negative impact on the stability of such *** order to address this issue,this work proposes a dynamic evolutionary game model based on node *** model considers various defense strategies'cost and attack success ratio under *** can dynamically adjust their strategies according to the behavior of attackers to achieve their effective *** equilibrium stability of the proposed model can be *** proposed model can be applied to general channel *** is compared with two state-of-the-art blockchain channels:Lightning network and Spirit *** experimental results show that the proposed model can be used to improve a channel's stability and keep it in a good cooperative stable *** its use enables a blockchain to enjoy higher transaction success ratio and lower transaction transmission delay than the use of its two peers.
