How does the digitalization of the SCOR model contribute to the efficiency of supply chain operations?

Résumé: Les outils digitaux tels que la blockchain, l’Internet des objets (IoT) et le big data (BD) ont été largement utilisés pour digitaliser la logistique et la gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement (CA). En fait, la technologie blockchain peut offrir divers avantages tels que la confiance, la traçabilité et la transparence qui permettent d’améliorer les performances de la chaîne d’approvisionnement. En plus, l’IoT est considéré comme la technologie la plus encourageante pour suivre et partager des informations en temps réel entre tous les acteurs de la CA. Enfin, le BD est considéré comme un outil très puissant et efficace pour optimiser la CA et permet à plusieurs entreprises de contrôler et de traiter une énorme quantité de données. C’est pour ces raisons que dans cet article, nous proposons d’utiliser ces technologies numériques pour développer un modèle SCOR digital pour une CA efficace, intelligente et performante. Afin de mettre en lumière les performances de cette étude, un modèle SCOR est initialement présenté pour mettre en évidence les avantages et les impacts de ces trois technologies sur les principales activités de la CA, notamment plan, source, make, deliver et return. Ensuite, les trois technologies sont combinées où le cloud est utilisé comme PaaS (platform as service) afin de les connecter. Enfin, pour valider le modèle SCOR 4.0 proposé, nous avons présenté un exemple didactique avec une CA multi-échelons et demande déterministe. Les résultats ont montré que le modèle proposé a permis d’améliorer la visibilité de la CA et d’augmenter le niveau de satisfaction des clients. © 2024 KEDGE Business school.

Distortion minimization for multimedia transmission in NOMA HAP-UAV integrated aerial access networks

Aerial access networks have been envisioned as a promising 6G solution to enhance the ground communication systems in both coverage and capacity. To better utilize the spectrum and fully explore different channel characteristics, this paper constructs an integrated network comprising the High Altitude Platform(HAP) and Unmanned Air Vehicles(UAVs) with the NonOrthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA) technology. In order to improve the transmission quality of images and videos, a power management scheme is proposed to minimize the distortion of the transmissions from the HAP and UAVs to the terminals. The power control is formulated as a non-convex problem constrained by the maximal transmit power and the minimal terminal rate requirements. The variable substitution and the first-order Tailor’s expansion is used to transform it into a sequence of convex problems, which are subsequently solved through the gradient projection method. Simulation demonstrates the signal distortion and error rate improvement achieved by the proposed algorithm.

The phenomenon of distraction is very common, and its adverse effects are seen among people. The major cause underlying this issue is the ease with which adversarial web sites and web pages can be accessed. It is of utmost importance to locate, evaluate, and actively block such web pages in an effort to comprehensively and globally solve this societal issue. Thus, the given paper proposes an extension or plug-in to detect, analyze, and block websites smartly. The proposed approach takes keywords entered by the user as input into consideration, which eventually leads to the generation of web pages and web links. The filtering of web links is done by the proposed extension, followed by the extraction of features, the utilization of support vector machines (SVM) for binary classification, and the summarization of textual data using natural language processing (NLP). Lastly, the precise results corresponding to relevant web links are presented to the users, which will increase their productivity, thereby reducing their distraction levels under all working circumstances. The performance of the proposed approach is validated against existing recent studies based on evaluation metrics such as adversarial website detection time (ms) and accuracy (%). © Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

With the rise of internet facilities,a greater number of people have started doing online transactions at an exponential rate in recent years as the online transaction system has eliminated the need of going to the bank physically for every ***,the fraud cases have also increased causing the loss of money to the ***,an effective fraud detection system is the need of the hour which can detect fraudulent transactions automatically in ***,the genuine transactions are large in number than the fraudulent transactions which leads to the class imbalance *** this research work,an online transaction fraud detection system using deep learning has been proposed which can handle class imbalance problem by applying algorithm-level methods which modify the learning of the model to focus more on the minority class i.e.,fraud transactions.A novel loss function named Weighted Hard-Reduced Focal Loss(WH-RFL)has been proposed which has achieved maximum fraud detection rate i.e.,True PositiveRate(TPR)at the cost of misclassification of few genuine transactions as high TPR is preferred over a high True Negative Rate(TNR)in fraud detection system and same has been demonstrated using three publicly available imbalanced transactional ***,Thresholding has been applied to optimize the decision threshold using cross-validation to detect maximum number of frauds and it has been demonstrated by the experimental results that the selection of the right thresholding method with deep learning yields better results.

An ensemble deep learning model for cyber threat hunting in industrial internet of things

By the emergence of the fourth industrial revolution,interconnected devices and sensors generate large-scale,dynamic,and inharmonious data in Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)*** vast heterogeneous data increase the challenges of security risks and data analysis *** IIoT grows,cyber-attacks become more diverse and complex,making existing anomaly detection models less effective to *** this paper,an ensemble deep learning model that uses the benefits of the Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)and the AutoEncoder(AE)architecture to identify out-of-norm activities for cyber threat hunting in IIoT is *** this model,the LSTM is applied to create a model on normal time series of data(past and present data)to learn normal data patterns and the important features of data are identified by AE to reduce data *** addition,the imbalanced nature of IIoT datasets has not been considered in most of the previous literature,affecting low accuracy and *** solve this problem,the proposed model extracts new balanced data from the imbalanced datasets,and these new balanced data are fed into the deep LSTM AE anomaly detection *** this paper,the proposed model is evaluated on two real IIoT datasets-Gas Pipeline(GP)and Secure Water Treatment(SWaT)that are imbalanced and consist of long-term and short-term dependency on *** results are compared with conventional machine learning classifiers,Random Forest(RF),Multi-Layer Perceptron(MLP),Decision Tree(DT),and Super Vector Machines(SVM),in which higher performance in terms of accuracy is obtained,99.3%and 99.7%based on GP and SWaT datasets,***,the proposed ensemble model is compared with advanced related models,including Stacked Auto-Encoders(SAE),Naive Bayes(NB),Projective Adaptive Resonance Theory(PART),Convolutional Auto-Encoder(C-AE),and Package Signatures(PS)based LSTM(PS-LSTM)model.

A Novel Approach to Continual Knowledge Transfer in Multilingual Neural Machine Translation Using Autoregressive and Non-Autoregressive Models for Indic Languages

Recent progress in multilingual pre-trained models has significantly improved translation quality for Indic languages. However, extending these models to new languages via fine-tuning or retraining remains computationally costly and often leads to parameter interference, degrading performance on previously learned or typologically distant languages. While continual learning offers a promising alternative for incremental language addition, its application in Indic contexts is still limited and faces challenges in generalization across diverse linguistic settings. To overcome these issues, we propose a Continual Knowledge Transfer (CKT) framework for efficient and scalable multilingual adaptation. CKT is realized in both autoregressive (MNMT) and non-autoregressive (Switch-GLAT) architectures, yielding two variants: MNMT+CKT and Switch-GLAT+CKT. Rather than retraining the entire model, CKT freezes the multilingual base and updates only parameters relevant to the newly added language. Key innovations include gradient-based knowledge pruning, sequential teacher integration, and dynamic vocabulary expansion for minimizing interference and maximizing cross-lingual retention. Comprehensive evaluations on the IN22-Conv and IN22-Gen benchmark datasets demonstrate that both MNMT+CKT and Switch-GLAT+CKT consistently outperform established baselines, such as IndicTrans2, Google Translate, GPT-4-32K, LLaMA-2-17B, and NLIP-LAB-IITH. The proposed multi-step distillation approach, MNMT+CKT, consistently outperforms conventional fine-tuning and Knowledge Transfer (MNMT+KT) strategies for incremental adaptation of linguistically diverse Indic languages. On IN22-Conv, BLEU improvements range from +4.93 (Kashmiri → English) to +11.48 (Assamese → English) and similar improvements are seen for IN22-Gen. The method also achieves substantial reductions in trainable parameters - 19.80% (Nepali) to 66.87% (Kannada) - while enabling up to 4x faster inference when integrated with the Switch-GL

The purpose of this article is to propose Stability-based Energy-Efficient Link-State Hybrid Routing(S-ELHR),a low latency routing proto-col that aims to provide a stable mechanism for routing in unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV).The S-ELHR protocol selects a number of network nodes to create a Connected Dominating Set(CDS)using a parameter known as the Stability Metric(SM).The SM considers the node’s energy usage,connectivity time,and node’s *** the highest SM nodes are chosen to form *** node declares a Willingness to indicate that it is prepared to serve as a relay for its neighbors,by employing its own energy state.S-ELHR is a hybrid protocol that stores only partial topological information and routing tables on CDS *** of relying on the routing information at each intermediary node,it uses source routing,in which a route is generated on-demand,and data packets contain the addresses of the nodes the packet will transit.A route recovery technique is additionally utilized,which first locates a new route to the destination before forwarding packets along *** simulation for various network sizes and mobility speeds,the efficiency of S-ELHR is *** findings demonstrate that S-ELHR performs better than Optimized Link State Routing(OLSR)and Energy Enhanced OLSR(EE-OLSR)in terms of packet delivery ratio,end-to-end delay,and energy consumption.

We study the problem of approximately transforming a sample from a source statistical model to a sample from a target statistical model without knowing the parameters of the source model, and construct several computationally efficient such reductions between canonical statistical experiments. In particular, we provide computationally efficient procedures that approximately reduce uniform, Erlang, and Laplace location models to general target families. We illustrate our methodology by establishing nonasymptotic reductions between some canonical high-dimensional problems, spanning mixtures of experts, phase retrieval, and signal denoising. Notably, the reductions are structure-preserving and can accommodate missing data. We also point to a possible application in transforming one differentially private mechanism to another. © 2025 M.
