This paper describes a new approach to the problem of interception of wireless communication channels between the legitimate users. Physical PHY Layer Security (PLS) is new topic enhancing the secrecy performance of a Multi-User Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) system for wireless communication from a single base-station to many users. Beamforming techniques such as "Pre-Maximum Ratio Combining (P-MRC) and Pre-Equal Gain Combining (P-EGC)"with assumption of perfect Channel State Information CSI is considered in order to achieve the perfect secure transmission between legitimate users. Along with beamforming, Artificial Noise (AN) is a technology that is being studied. The plotted achievable worst-case of secrecy rate down to the best secrecy rate value (threshold of secrecy rate) versus the power allocation fractions (The power splitting factor). The achieved threshold of secrecy rates for the implemented MU-MIMO were used by Matched Filter (MF) beamforming schemes (P-MRC) and (P-EGC) and suggested that the (P-MRC) is considered as an optimal beamforming technique in order to achieve a best secrecy rate or best threshold of secrecy rate for a nearest Information User (IU) to the Eavesdropper Eve. © 2023 IEEE.

Breast cancer is a significant health concern;early detection and treatment are critical to improving patient outcomes. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to assist healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, and clinical decision support systems using AI algorithms can help to improve the accuracy and speed of breast cancer detection and diagnosis. By analysing large amounts of data from various imaging modalities, AI algorithms can help identify breast cancer early, increasing the chances of successful treatment. This survey aims to briefly overview the most prevalent breast cancer types, their staging, and the methods and modalities for their diagnosis to address these problems. Our investigation showed that, when compared to ML, DL techniques achieved the highest accuracy, with an approximate 2% improvement in accuracy. This review article mainly focuses on four commonly used imaging modalities: Mammogram, Thermogram, Ultrasound imaging and histopathology images. This survey critically analyzes breast cancer detection approaches and modalities, as well as a cost-to-accuracy comparison. Explainable AI (XAI) techniques and their application for breast cancer diagnosis are critically examined, as well as their advantages and limitations. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

This paper presents a performance analysis of novel doubledampedtuned alternating current (AC) filters in high voltage direct current(HVDC) systems. The proposed double-damped tuned AC filters offer theadvantages of improved performance of HVDC systems in terms of betterpower quality, high power factor, and lower total harmonic distortion (THD).The system under analysis consists of an 878 km long HVDC transmissionline connecting converter stations at Matiari and Lahore, two major cities inPakistan. The main focus of this research is to design a novel AC filter usingthe equivalent impedance method of two single-tuned and double-dampedtuned AC filters. Additionally, the impact of the damping resistor on the ACchannel is examined. TheTHDof theHVDCsystem with and without currentAC filters was also compared in this research and a double-damped tuned ACfilter was proposed. The results of the simulation represent that the proposeddouble-damped tuned AC filter is far smaller in size, offers better powerquality, and has a much lower THD compared to the AC filters currently inplace in the converter station. The simulation analysis was carried out utilizingpower systems computer-aided design (PSCAD) software.

Fixed-time-synchronized control: a system-dimension-categorized approach

This study addresses the fixed-time-synchronized control problem of perturbed multi-input multioutput(MIMO) systems. In the task of fixed-time-synchronized control, different dimensions of the output signal in MIMO systems are required to reach the desired value simultaneously within a fixed time *** MIMO system is categorized into two cases: the input-dimension-dominant and the state-dimensiondominant cases. The classification is defined according to the dimension of system signals and, more importantly, the capability of converging at the same time. For each kind of MIMO system, sufficient Lyapunov conditions for fixed-time-synchronized convergence are explored, and the corresponding robust sliding mode controllers are designed. Moreover, perturbations are compensated using the super-twisting technique. The brake control of the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft is considered to verify the proposed method for the input-dimension-dominant case, which shows the essential advantages of decreasing the energy consumption and the output trajectory length. Furthermore, comparative numerical simulations are performed to show the semi-time-synchronized property for the state-dimension-dominant case.

Supporting real-time interactions between human controllers and remote devices remains a challenging goal in the Metaverse due to the stringent requirements on computing workload, communication throughput, and round-trip latency. In this paper, we establish a novel framework for real-time interactions through the virtual models in the Metaverse. Specifically, we jointly predict the motion of the human controller for 1) proactive rendering in the Metaverse and 2) generating control commands to the real-world remote device in advance. The virtual model is decoupled into two components for rendering and control, respectively. To dynamically adjust the prediction horizons for rendering and control, we develop a two-step human-in-the-loop continuous reinforcement learning approach and use an expert policy to improve the training efficiency. An experimental prototype is built to verify our algorithm with different communication latencies. Compared with the baseline policy without prediction, our proposed method can reduce 1) the Motion-To-Photon (MTP) latency between human motion and rendering feedback and 2) the root mean squared error (RMSE) between human motion and real-world remote devices significantly. © 2024 IEEE.

Renewable energy generation is encouraging nowadays due to increasing demand day by day. At the commercial level, renewable energy generation is already in use. In this project, renewable energy generation is used on highways for lighting purposes. These energies are already wasted on highways by constructively using them, it can convert traditional highways into smart highways. The project consists combination of three energies, i.e. solar, wind, and piezoelectric energy. Many projects are already running on the highway in which individual energy or a combination of two energy is used for the generation. Still, with this project, three hybrid energy generation systems will be explained for the lighting on the highways. Initially, this system can cost more, but in the long term, it benefits more as well. This off-grid system can also further extend to supply back to the grid if satisfy the current usage on the highway. © 2024 IEEE.

This work presents an adaptive tracking guidance method for robotic fishes. The scheme enables robots to suppress external interference and eliminate motion jitter. An adaptive integral surge line-of-sight guidance rule is designed to eliminate dynamics interference and sideslip issues. Limited-time yaw and surge speed observers are reported to fit disturbance variables in the model. The approximation values can compensate for the system's control input and improve the robots' tracking ***, this work develops a terminal sliding mode controller and third-order differential processor to determine the rotational torque and reduce the robots' run jitter. Then, Lyapunov's theory proves the uniform ultimate boundedness of the proposed method. Simulation and physical experiments confirm that the technology improves the tracking error convergence speed and stability of robotic fishes.
