This work introduces a method for closed-loop system identification using frequency analysis, employing Empirical Transfer Function Estimation (ETFE). By integrating optimization within a Monte Carlo framework, it enhances the precision of ETFE, resulting in minimized frequency response errors compared to actual system data. Leveraging controller information in an offline model fitting scheme, it achieves optimal realization of process dynamics. The method is evaluated on a data center rack-level cooling system, showing Bode magnitude plots of actual and estimated closed-loop and open-loop dynamics, with confidence intervals demonstrating algorithm consistency. Numerical evaluations confirm the feasibility and potential of the approach to improve offline closed-loop system identification performance in the frequency domain, beneficial for analysis and design. There will not be a comparative study for the introduced approach.

In this paper, we propose a Secure Energy Management System (SEMS) with anomaly detection and Q-Learning decision modules for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). The anomaly detection module is a multi-task learning network to simultaneously classify suppliers and predict the real supply quantities. The Q-learning decision module can then determine operating reserve and subsidies to manage the energy grid. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed anomaly detection module has an excellent performance in classifying malicious suppliers, excels at shaping supply distribution, and outperforms the existing benchmark systems. © 2022 IEEE.

The integration of brain-machine interface and exoskeleton robot has been widespread application in gait correction, walking assistance, and numerous other scenarios. To effectively extract the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal features of motor imagery while wearing an exoskeleton, this study proposes a frequency band pre-determination method based on power spectral density (PSD) that enables common spatial patterns (CSP) to extract features from the frequency band with the highest energy in the EEG. The signal power spectral density of all channels is obtained at or near the average frequency of the maximum short interval frequency component energy. A second round of filtering is performed on the data, and the signal components are used as input for the subsequent feature extraction step. The CSP method extracts features from the spatial domain signal and generates feature maps. Finally, Support Vector Machines (SVM) are utilized to classify the EEG signals. Based on the pre-set gait of the exoskeleton robot and the motor imagery paradigm, feature extraction and classification of motor imagery EEG data during exoskeleton use were conducted, with an average accuracy rate of 77%. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method in extracting the motor imagery EEG features during exoskeleton use. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The synthesis of renewable chemical fuels from CO_(2) and H_(2)O via photoelectrochemical(PEC)route reprensents a promising room-temperature approach for transforming greenhouse gas into value-added chemicals(e.g.,syngas),but to date it has been hampered by the lack of efficient photocathode for CO_(2) ***,we report efficient PEC CO_(2) reduction into syngas by photocathode *** photocathode is consisting of a planar p-n Si junction for strong light harvesting,GaN nanowires for efficient electron extraction and transfer,and Au/TiO_(2)for rapid electrocatalytic syngas *** photocathode yields a record-high solar energy conversion efficiency of 2.3%.Furthermore,desirable syngas compositions with CO/H_(2)ratios such as 1:2 and 1:1 can be produced by simply varying the size of Au *** calculations reveal that the active sites for CO and H_(2)generation are the facet and undercoordinated sites of Au particles,respectively.

COVID-19 has lately infected a big number of people worldwide. Medical service frameworks are strained as a result of the infection. The emergency unit, which is part of the medical services area, has experienced several challenges as a result of the low data quality offered by existing ICU clinical equipment. The Internet of Things has enhanced the capability for essential information mobility in medical services in the twenty-first century. Nonetheless, many of today's ideal models use IoT innovation to assess patients' well-being. As a result, executives lack understanding regarding the most effective method to apply such innovation to ICU clinical equipment. The IoT Based Paradigm for Medical Equipment Management Systems, a breakthrough IoT-based paradigm for successfully administering clinical hardware in ICUs, is introduced in this study. During the COVID-19 episode, IoT technology is used to boost the data stream between clinical hardware, executive frameworks, and ICUs, enabling the maximum level of openness and reasonableness in clinical equipment redistribution. IoT MEMS conceptual and functional features were painstakingly drawn. Using IoT MEMS expands the capacity and limits of emergency clinics, effectively easing COVID-19. It will also have a substantial impact on the nature of the data and will improve the partners' trust and transparency. © 2022 IEEE.

Fruit harvesting poses a significant labor and financial burden on the fruit industry, which underscore the urgent need for advancements in robotic harvesting solutions. Despite considerable progress in leveraging deep learning and machine learning techniques for fruit detection, a common shortfall is the inability to swiftly extend the developed models across different orchards and/or various fruit species. Additionally, the limited availability of pertinent data further compounds these challenges. In this work, we introduce MetaFruit, the largest publicly available multi-class fruit dataset, comprising 4,248 images and 248,015 manually labeled instances across diverse U.S. orchards. Furthermore, this study proposes an innovative open-set fruit detection system leveraging advanced Vision Foundation Models (VFMs) for fruit detection that can adeptly identify a wide array of fruit types under varying orchard conditions. This system not only demonstrates remarkable adaptability in learning from minimal data through few-shot learning but also shows the ability to interpret human instructions for subtle detection tasks. The performance of the developed foundation model is comprehensively evaluated across several metrics, outperforming existing state-of-the-art algorithms in our MetaFruit, thereby setting a new benchmark in the field of agricultural technology and robotic harvesting. The MetaFruit dataset (https://***/datasets/jiajiali/metafruit) and detection framework (https://***/JiajiaLi04/FMFruit) are open-sourced to foster future research in vision-based fruit harvesting, marking a significant stride toward addressing the urgent needs of the agricultural sector. © 2024 ASABE Annual International Meeting. Reinforcement learning(RL) has roots in dynamic programming and it is called adaptive/approximate dynamic programming(ADP) within the control community. This paper reviews recent developments in ADP along with RL and its applications to various advanced control fields. First, the background of the development of ADP is described, emphasizing the significance of regulation and tracking control problems. Some effective offline and online algorithms for ADP/adaptive critic control are displayed, where the main results towards discrete-time systems and continuous-time systems are surveyed, ***, the research progress on adaptive critic control based on the event-triggered framework and under uncertain environment is discussed, respectively, where event-based design, robust stabilization, and game design are reviewed. Moreover, the extensions of ADP for addressing control problems under complex environment attract enormous attention. The ADP architecture is revisited under the perspective of data-driven and RL frameworks,showing how they promote ADP formulation ***, several typical control applications with respect to RL and ADP are summarized, particularly in the fields of wastewater treatment processes and power systems, followed by some general prospects for future research. Overall, the comprehensive survey on ADP and RL for advanced control applications has d emonstrated its remarkable potential within the artificial intelligence era. In addition, it also plays a vital role in promoting environmental protection and industrial intelligence.

Considering the high energy consumption problem in the wastewater treatment process, this paper proposes a multi-objective optimization control scheme based on NSGA-II algorithm. The proposed scheme can not only ensures meet effluent quality requirements but also can achieves energy cost savings. This method takes the aeration energy consumption and pumping energy consumption of the system as the optimization goal with the effluent water quality being the constraint condition. At the same time, the adaptive fuzzy PID controller is designed to ensure the control accuracy and stability of the controlled system. The results of simulation experiments validated in benchmark simulation platform, BSM1, show that, compared with PI control and single-objective optimization control, the proposed optimization scheme in this paper can achieve the desired quality of the effluent water withmore energy-saving. © 2023 IEEE.

The oxygen excess ratio (OER) is closely coupled with the entire efficiency of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). However, it is challenging to apply OER regulations owing to unpredictability and frequent load fluctuations. This article employs a feedforward model predictive control to track the optimal OER and reduce the detrimental effect of external current. According to the simulation outcomes, the proposed control performs superior in terms of integral absolute error, disturbance rejection, and tracking trajectory in OER tracking with variable external current than the conventional model predictive control.

We propose an online identification scheme for discrete-time piece-wise affine state-space models based on a system of adaptive algorithms running in two timescales. A stochastic approximation algorithm implements an online deterministic annealing scheme at a slow timescale, estimating the partition of the augmented state-input space that defines the switching signal. At the same time, an adaptive identification algorithm, running at a higher timescale, updates the parameters of the local models based on the estimate of the switching signal. Identifiability conditions for the switched system are discussed and convergence results are given based on the theory of two-timescale stochastic approximation. In contrast to standard identification algorithms for piece-wise affine systems, the proposed approach progressively estimates the number of modes needed and is appropriate for online system identification using sequential data acquisition. This progressive nature of the algorithm improves computational efficiency and provides real-time control over the performance-complexity trade-off, desired in practical applications. Experimental results validate the efficacy of the proposed methodology.
