AI is a magnificent field that directly and profoundly touches on numerous disciplines ranging from philosophy, computer science, engineering, mathematics, decision and data science and economics, to cognitive science, neuroscience and more. The number of applications and impact of AI is second to none and the potential of AI to broadly impact future science developments is particularly thrilling. While attempts to understand knowledge, reasoning, cognition and learning go back centuries, AI remains a relatively new field. In part due to the fact it has so many wide-ranging overlaps with other disparate fields it appears to have trouble developing a robust identity and culture. Here we suggest that contrasting the fast-moving AI culture to biological and biomedical sciences is both insightful and useful way to inaugurate a healthy tradition needed to envision and manage our ascent to AGI and beyond (independent of the AI Platforms used). After all, the human brain is a biological organ produced by evolution and human intelligence is a remarkable bi-product of nature and nurture and their complex interaction. In this perspective, we focus on traditions and culture, namely the commonly observed practices of evaluating, recognizing applauding, critiquing, debating and managing all progress including useful advances and discovery of challenging limitations. We are not discussing specific scientific exchanges between AI and Biology that include interdisciplinary cross fertilization of scientific methods, technology, ideas and applications that have been amply demonstrated and will continue to be transformative in the future. The stock market price is influenced by many factors both domestic and international factors. To help stock traders in make buying or selling decision, a stock price prediction model is needed. In this paper, a stock closing price prediction system is introduced. We utilized 17 financial factors, i.e., 8 technical analysis factors (Crude oil price, Gold spot, Thai Baht to US Dollar exchange rate, High price, Low price, Opening price, Closing price, and Volume) and 9 fundamental factors (Exponential moving average, Relative strength index, Current ratio, Return on equity ratio, Return on assets ratio, Net profit margin ratio, Debt to equity ratio, Price to earning ratio, and Price to book value) from 18 previous working days as our inputs. We then computed chaos centroids from each factor. Finally, to predict the Monday closing price, the fuzzy support vector regression with the grey wolf optimization is utilized. There are 29 companies in 6 industry groups, i.e., RESOURCE, SERVICE, INDUS, PROPCON, AGRO, and TECH, considered in this research. We found that the minimum root mean square error of the blind test set is 0.3698 and the maximum of that is 11.66. However, the prediction trend of each company is very similar to the real closing price.

Malaria can be spread to human by anopheles female mosquitoes. There are four prevalent Plasmodium species responsible for malaria in humans. One of the four species, Plasmodium vivax or P. vivax, is selected in this paper. Its infected cell detection system based on image processing is developed. We automatically generate membership functions of inputs using the possibilistic fuzzy C-means. The Wang-Mendel (WM) method is used to automatically generate rules in the Mamdani fuzzy inference system. Although there are misclassifications because of the wrongly classified cells with similar characteristics to the opposite class, the correct classification rate of the training data is 93.65%. Whereas that of the blind test data set is 99.58%.
