Local Adaptive Gradient Variance Attack for Deep Fake Fingerprint Detection

In recent years,deep learning has been the mainstream technology for fingerprint liveness detection(FLD)tasks because of its remarkable ***,recent studies have shown that these deep fake fingerprint detection(DFFD)models are not resistant to attacks by adversarial examples,which are generated by the introduction of subtle perturbations in the fingerprint image,allowing the model to make fake *** of the existing adversarial example generation methods are based on gradient optimization,which is easy to fall into local optimal,resulting in poor transferability of adversarial *** addition,the perturbation added to the blank area of the fingerprint image is easily perceived by the human eye,leading to poor visual *** response to the above challenges,this paper proposes a novel adversarial attack method based on local adaptive gradient variance for *** ridge texture area within the fingerprint image has been identified and designated as the region for perturbation ***,the images are fed into the targeted white-box model,and the gradient direction is optimized to compute gradient ***,an adaptive parameter search method is proposed using stochastic gradient ascent to explore the parameter values during adversarial example generation,aiming to maximize adversarial attack *** results on two publicly available fingerprint datasets show that ourmethod achieves higher attack transferability and robustness than existing methods,and the perturbation is harder to perceive.

The electronics panels and controllers used in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations need to function securely and optimally in countries such as India, where the external temperature remains high for a significant part of the year. This study is the first to use a solar-battery storage integrated switchable glazing architecture to supply HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) in the control rooms of electric vehicle charging stations throughout the day. The EV charging station has been equipped with a rooftop-mounted solar PV source as part of an initiative to promote renewable energy and sustainable forms of mobility. The utilization of a vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) by the system ensures energy security through the provision of a durable solution for storing energy over an extended period of time. A smart scheduling system utilizing IoT technology was demonstrated to effectively meet the glazing load need of buildings in real-time, taking into account dynamic climatic conditions. This system incorporates solar PV, VRFB storage, and the neighborhood power grid. The efficiency of the suggested method was validated using four separate transitory scenarios: sunny, intermittently cloudy, prolongedly cloudy, and low solar radiation with frequent grid outages. Due to its versatility to be applied in various situations, the suggested method has the potential to greatly enhance capacity. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). Predictive maintenance practices rely on reliable scheduling and allocation of resources to sustain seamless operations. Advent of agent technology has increased the avenues to manage efficient schedules in distributed industry settings. This paper proposes a multi-agent architecture with behavior based trust computations and reinforcement learning to effectively manage multiple schedule assignments. To formalize the schedule maintenance problem, bigraph was used to model the centralized resource allocations among multiple schedules. Reinforcement learning algorithms was used to compute and update trust values based on the agent behaviors. Results reveal that the cooperation among agents helps to maintain a variation in assignments to less than 40%. © 2024 IEEE.

The aim of this work is to develop numerical procedures for analyzing edge hardening using induction heating by turbulent currents. The section through the steel bar, whose lower edge needs to be hardened, is presented. For the inductor adapted to the piece configuration, the 2D model is assumed. The surface treatment of the piece must be differentiated: in the tip area, the heating must be greater than in the rest of the surface. Only the tip area needs to be subjected to hardening, while the rest of the piece must remain elastic to ensure the desired mechanical strength. The main purpose of this work is to propose inductor models for achieving differentiated heating of the blade. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to enhance Bluetooth, this paper proposes to employ a low-density parity-check (LDPC) code instead of S2 and S8 coding schemes in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) coded standard. Since decoding LDPC codes requires log-likelihood ratios (LLRs), the Viterbi algorithm is modified so that it can obtain the LLR from the correlation between received and reference signals. Simulation results under the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel condition show that when signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is greater than or equal to 3 dB, Bluetooth LDPC performance with LDPC is superior to both of the standard BLE coded schemes. Moreover, the average decoding time is 16.954 times shorter than that of BLE coded S8. Thus, enhanced Bluetooth LDPC is suitable for the AWGN channel with SNR greater than or equal to 3 dB because it needs fewer redundancy bits to provide lower packet error rate (PER) with shorter decoding time. © 2023 IEEE.

With increasingly challenging applications for quadrotors, higher requirements are emerging for tracking accuracy and safety. While high accuracy is a prerequisite for complex tasks, safety is ensured through tolerance to actuator faults and resistance to external disturbances. In this article, adaptive robust control (ARC) integrated with Gaussian processes (GPs), i.e., ARC-GP, is proposed to achieve enhanced accuracy, fault tolerance, and anti-disturbance. These three requirements are interrelated and affected by uncertainties. The primary idea of this article is to categorize uncertainties into parametric and nonparametric types, which are then addressed through parameter adaptation and GP, respectively. First, a detailed dynamic model is established, including actuator models that reflect different types of faults corresponding to changes in different physical parameters. Then, parameter adaptation is designed, with direct and indirect methods adopted for different parameters. In particular, the actuator parameters are effectively estimated to achieve targeted fault compensation. Regarding GP for nonparametric uncertainties, its model parameters are also updated via parameter adaptation. The GP thereby also learns parameter estimation errors along with external disturbances. Accordingly, ARC controllers are designed, for which robust feedback terms are constructed to further mitigate uncertainties on the basis of the covariances predicted by GP. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed ARC-GP can actively tolerate various types of actuator faults and better resist wind disturbances. © 2013 IEEE.

Unlike the fifth generation (5G), which is well recognized for network cloudification with micro-service-oriented design, the sixth generation (6G) of networks is directly tied to intelligent network orchestration and management. The Attacks Detection in 6G (AD6Gs) wireless networks created by this research uses a Machine Learning (ML) algorithm. The pre-processing stage of the ML-AD6Gs process is the initial step. The second stage involves the feature selection approach. Correlation Feature Selection algorithm (CFS) is used to implement the suggested hybrid strategy. It selects the best subset feature and reduces dimensionality for each independent analyses of the dataset CICDDOS2019. The voting average method is used as an aggregation step, and two classifiers - Random Forest (RF) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) - are modified to be used as ML Algorithms. The proposed method shown an outperformed the existing classification method. The accuracy was 99.9%% for CICDDOS2019 dataset with a false alarm rate of 0.00102 © 2023 IEEE.
