The COVID-19 epiphytotic highlighted the necessity for speedy and accessible identification instruments. Chest X-rays offer a readily available and relatively inexpensive Tomography proficiency. This stuff explores the potential of X-ray image analysis using Profound learning algorithmic program for the aided detection of COVID-19 contagions. While chest X-rays and CT scans are valuable instruments for COVID-19 diagnosis, manual analysis is time-consuming and error-prone. Profound learning, a powerful subset of artificial intelligence[10], offers promising solutions for automated and accurate COVID-19 detection from these Tomography modalities. This stuff reviews key investigation findings on Profound learning-based classification of COVID-19 using chest X-rays and CT scans. We explore the current state-of-the-art advancements, discuss remaining challenges, and outline potential future directions in this crucial field. Containing COVID-19 relies heavily on isolating infected individuals and widespread inoculation. While RT-PCR tests remain the gold standard for diagnosis, delays in processing limit their effectiveness. Additionally, post-recovery positive tests raise concerns about accuracy [7]. Vaccines offer protection, but breakthrough contagions occur. Developing highly effective, long-lasting vaccines and achieving planetary immunization face significant logistical hurdles. Faster and more reliable identification instruments are crucial to complement these ongoing efforts. © 2024 IEEE.

In today's culture, waste management holds an important role in urban areas as the increase in waste dumping may lead to health issues as well as make the environment contaminated. The current waste management system incorporates a smart bin that automatically displays the quantity of waste contained within it. This system presents a peculiar solution about an Automated Robotic System (ARS), which has clearly progressed to effectively replace waste bins that are filled in indoor areas. This system blends both hardware and software technology. The aim of our system is to create an automatically movable waste bin that moves to the specified storage area. When the waste level reaches the threshold level, the robot moves through the path and reaches the destination commonly utilizing sensors such as ultrasonic sensors. When the waste is picked by the waste collector from the bin, he can reset the robot so that it returns to its initial position. We have conducted a validation of our model and we have done a study of various methods in terms of efficiency and user-friendliness. Thus, the result of this system is that it implemented a smart bin which senses the waste level in the bin and automatically moves to the garbage collection area when the bin reaches the specified threshold level. Through this system, an efficient waste management strategy can be implemented and makes the environment cleaner. © 2024 IEEE.

The accuracy of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems is influenced by the quality and context of speech signals, particularly in telephonic environments prone to errors like channel drops and noise, leading to higher Word Error Rates (WER). This paper presents the development of a large vocabulary Urdu ASR system for telephonic speech, based on a corpus of 445 speakers from diverse domains. The corpus, annotated at the sentence level, is used to train and evaluate GMM-HMM and chain Time-Delay Neural Network (TDNN) models on a 10-hour test set. Results show that the TDNN model outperforms GMM-HMM. Mixing narrowband and wideband speech further reduces WER. The test sets are also evaluated for the pre-trained model Whisper for performance comparison. Additionally, system adaptation for the banking domain with a specialized lexicon and language model demonstrates the system’s potential for domain-specific applications. © 2025 International Committee on Computational Linguistics.

This paper presents measurements of the reflection and transmission coefficient of electromagnetic waves through concrete and two concrete-based composites: concrete with steel fibers and concrete with carbon fibers with the aim of enhancing the attenuation of electromagnetic waves passing through concrete and concrete composites. The frequency range for which the measurements were carried out extends from 30 MHz to 18 GHz and includes most of the existing stationary (and mobile) radiation EM sources in the environment in which the general population moves (FM, DVBT2, 2G - 5G mobile radio systems, stationary radar border area control systems). The measurement results show that as the thickness of the concrete increases, the transmission through concrete and concrete composites decreases (parameter S12 decreases). Furthermore, composites with carbon fibers partially reduce, while those with steel fibers significantly reduce, the transmission of EM waves through such composites. The reduction of parameter S12 by composites with steel is up to 52 dB (at a frequency of 2.9 GHz) for a block thickness of 100 mm. It is important to emphasize that in the case of composites with steel fibers, the influence of the fibers on the transmission parameters is more significant than the thickness of the sample. The reason for this is the increase in electrical conductivity of composites with steel fibers due to the increased proportion of conductive components in the concrete. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In this article, we propose a novel protocol that employs different technologies together, such as Software Defined Network (SDN) for the purpose of offering scalability, programmability, and global network information, and Fog computing for the reason of providing location services that meet V ANET standards. Additionally, we propose a novel cluster head selection algorithm for the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of the protocol by considering three different dimensions, namely, lifetime, average distance, and signal-to-interference noise ratio. The novelty of this proposed algorithm comes from reducing the number of control overheads, reducing long-distance communications, and reducing packet loss due to collisions and contentions inside each cluster, respectively. The proposed protocol has been assessed using N s3 simulator whereas its results are so promising and worth publishing. © 2024 IEEE.

3D symmetric tensor fields have a wide range of applications in science and engineering. The topology of such fields can provide critical insight into not only the structures in tensor fields but also their respective applications. Existing research focuses on the extraction of topological features such as degenerate curves and neutral surfaces. In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic behaviors of these topological features in the sphere of infinity. Our research leads to both theoretical analysis and observations that can aid further classifications of tensor field topology. © 2024 IEEE.

To expedite the characteristic mode analysis (CMA) of electromagnetic target structures, this paper combines frequency- and material-independent reactions (FMIR) with characteristic mode analysis using the volume-surface integral equation (VSIE). Although the CMA based on VSIE is not affected by spurious modes when calculating targets containing dielectric, its matrix is high dimensional, resulting in slower calculations. FMIR only needs to store the calculation once for matrices that are independent of frequency and material parameters, which greatly reduces the repetitive operations when calculating multi-frequency impedance matrices. Numerical results show that combining FMIR with the CMA using VSIE can effectively improve the computational speed. © 2024 IEEE.

Safeguarding visual data is crucial in today's digital world. This paper introduces an image encryption method based on time-seeded randomization, QR decomposition, and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) methods. In contrast to the previously applied scrambling methods, the proposed scrambling method conversely implements dynamic scrambling using randomization on the current system time. This method ensures the security of the secret data. Experimental outcomes show that this method is efficient. The PSNR value of stego image is always >30 dB for different alpha values. This integrated methodology is a promising solution for image encryption, data hiding, and security of information in various practical cases. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose a bi-level green traffic assignment with network design problem. At the upper level, the objective function evaluates a total traffic Carbon monoxide (CO) gas emissions problem to provide a macroscopic viewpoint of the system manager. At the lower-level, a traffic assignment network design problem is considered to individually optimize users’ travel times, with certain links being potential candidates for network addition. Although the lower-level objective function is convex with linear constraints, the proposed bi-level problem is np-hard, and even finding a near-optimal solution is an np-hard task. To address the solution approach, we applied an online supervised machine learning (SML) algorithm which solves the proposed bi-level problem within a reasonable running time. Additionally, a mat-heuristic algorithm is proposed to compare the results with the online SML algorithm. To validate the online SML algorithm, we conducted experiments using real urban transportation examples in medium and large-sized networks. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

VIoT, a Voice and IoT Controlled Unmanned Automated Vehicle (UAV), pioneers a blend of Voice, IoT, and Bluetooth technologies to redefine remote-controlled robotics. Powered by Rock Pi 3a and an Android app, users seamlessly control the car using Bengali voice commands transmitted through IoT for long-range communication. It also uses Bluetooth for short-range operations if the vehicle is within approximately 20 meters of range from the controlling app. The dual-mode control mechanism offers flexibility, allowing users to steer the robotic car through the Android app effortlessly. Leveraging Google Speech Recognition API for Bengali voice input, this paper establishes a new standard for user-friendly robotic interfaces. Using WebSocket instead of an actual database like Firebase as the medium of data passing for IoT communications significantly solves latency problems. The comprehensive hardware setup includes Rock Pi 3a, L293D motor driver, and basic components, setting a milestone in human-robot interaction and expanding adaptability across various applications. © 2024 IEEE.
