Hybrid Fuzzy Data Aggregation and Optimization-Based Routing for Energy Efficiency in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are networks with many sensor nodes that are utilized for various purposes, including the military and medical. In hazardous circumstances, precise data aggregation and routing are essential, and the energy consumption of the sensors needs to be closely controlled. Nonetheless, there is a significant chance of redundant data because of external factors and nearby sensors. A multitude of information can be found in large datasets, some of it unnecessary and others useful. This redundancy negatively impacts performance in terms of redundant transmission and computing costs. However, data aggregation might help a network get rid of unnecessary data. In this work, we present a hybrid protocol called fuzzy data aggregation with fuzzy spider monkey optimization routing protocol (FDA-FSMORP) that represents an intelligent approach to collecting sensor data in HWSNs considering energy consumption. The results indicated that the suggested method beat in minimizing data latency our approach reduced energy consumption by 73% using energy more effectively when compared to our simulated outcomes. © 2024 Slovene Society Informatika. In the contemporary era,the global expansion of electrical grids is propelled by various renewable energy sources(RESs).Efficient integration of stochastic RESs and optimal power flow(OPF)management are critical for network *** study introduces an innovative solution,the Gaussian Bare-Bones Levy Cheetah Optimizer(GBBLCO),addressing OPF challenges in power generation systems with stochastic *** primary objective is to minimize the total operating costs of RESs,considering four functions:overall operating costs,voltage deviation management,emissions reduction,voltage stability index(VSI)and power loss ***,a carbon tax is included in the objective function to reduce carbon *** scrutiny,using modified IEEE 30-bus and IEEE 118-bus systems,validates GBBLCO’s superior performance in achieving optimal *** results demonstrate GBBLCO’s efficacy in six optimization scenarios:total cost with valve point effects,total cost with emission and carbon tax,total cost with prohibited operating zones,active power loss optimization,voltage deviation optimization and enhancing voltage stability index(VSI).GBBLCO outperforms conventional techniques in each scenario,showcasing rapid convergence and superior solution ***,GBBLCO navigates complexities introduced by valve point effects,adapts to environmental constraints,optimizes costs while considering prohibited operating zones,minimizes active power losses,and optimizes voltage deviation by enhancing the voltage stability index(VSI)*** research significantly contributes to advancing OPF,emphasizing GBBLCO’s improved global search capabilities and ability to address challenges related to local *** emerges as a versatile and robust optimization tool for diverse challenges in power systems,offering a promising solution for the evolving needs of renewable energy-integrated power grids.

Controlling an active distribution network(ADN)from a single PCC has been advantageous for improving the performance of coordinated Intermittent RESs(IRESs).Recent studies have proposed a constant PQ regulation approach at the PCC of ADNs using coordination of non-MPPT based ***,due to the intermittent nature of DGs coupled with PCC through uni-directional broadcast communication,the PCC becomes vulnerable to transient *** address this challenge,this study first presents a detailed mathematical model of an ADN from the perspective of PCC regulation to realize rigidness of PCC against ***,an H_(∞)controller is formulated and employed to achieve optimal performance against disturbances,consequently,ensuring the least oscillations during transients at ***,an eigenvalue analysis is presented to analyze convergence speed limitations of the newly derived system ***,simulation results show the proposed method offers superior performance as compared to the state-of-the-art methods.

Mobile devices within Fifth Generation(5G)networks,typically equipped with Android systems,serve as a bridge to connect digital gadgets such as global positioning system,mobile devices,and wireless routers,which are vital in facilitating end-user communication ***,the security of Android systems has been challenged by the sensitive data involved,leading to vulnerabilities in mobile devices used in 5G *** vulnerabilities expose mobile devices to cyber-attacks,primarily resulting from security ***-permission apps in Android can exploit these channels to access sensitive information,including user identities,login credentials,and geolocation *** such attack leverages"zero-permission"sensors like accelerometers and gyroscopes,enabling attackers to gather information about the smartphone's *** underscores the importance of fortifying mobile devices against potential future *** research focuses on a new recurrent neural network prediction model,which has proved highly effective for detecting side-channel attacks in mobile devices in 5G *** conducted state-of-the-art comparative studies to validate our experimental *** results demonstrate that even a small amount of training data can accurately recognize 37.5％of previously unseen user-typed ***,our tap detection mechanism achieves a 92％accuracy rate,a crucial factor for text *** findings have significant practical implications,as they reinforce mobile device security in 5G networks,enhancing user privacy,and data protection.

Within the electronic design automation(EDA) domain, artificial intelligence(AI)-driven solutions have emerged as formidable tools, yet they typically augment rather than redefine existing methodologies. These solutions often repurpose deep learning models from other domains, such as vision, text, and graph analytics, applying them to circuit design without tailoring to the unique complexities of electronic circuits. Such an “AI4EDA” approach falls short of achieving a holistic design synthesis and understanding,overlooking the intricate interplay of electrical, logical, and physical facets of circuit data. This study argues for a paradigm shift from AI4EDA towards AI-rooted EDA from the ground up, integrating AI at the core of the design process. Pivotal to this vision is the development of a multimodal circuit representation learning technique, poised to provide a comprehensive understanding by harmonizing and extracting insights from varied data sources, such as functional specifications, register-transfer level(RTL) designs, circuit netlists,and physical layouts. We champion the creation of large circuit models(LCMs) that are inherently multimodal, crafted to decode and express the rich semantics and structures of circuit data, thus fostering more resilient, efficient, and inventive design methodologies. Embracing this AI-rooted philosophy, we foresee a trajectory that transcends the current innovation plateau in EDA, igniting a profound “shift-left” in electronic design methodology. The envisioned advancements herald not just an evolution of existing EDA tools but a revolution, giving rise to novel instruments of design-tools that promise to radically enhance design productivity and inaugurate a new epoch where the optimization of circuit performance, power, and area(PPA) is achieved not incrementally, but through leaps that redefine the benchmarks of electronic systems' capabilities.

The increasing integration of distributed energy resources in distribution networks has significantly reduced system inertia, posing challenges to grid stability during transient events, such as Cold Load Pickup (CLPU). This paper proposes the implementation of grid-forming inverters (GFMs) to enhance the stability of low-inertia distribution systems. The paper also investigates the performance of the GFM-based approach in maintaining voltage profiles along the distribution feeder, especially during CLPU scenarios without synchronous machines. A comparison is made between the GFM-based system and the conventional synchronous machine setup. The synchronous machine is chosen as a reference point for evaluating the effectiveness of the GFM-based approach. The GFM-based system's performance is assessed under various challenging scenarios, including short-circuit faults, islanding, and a combination of these through extensive simulations. The results demonstrate the potential of GFMs to stabilize a distribution system and outperform the traditional rigid synchronous machine during transient events. © 2024 IEEE.

Accurate classification of encrypted traffic plays an important role in network ***,current methods confronts several problems:inability to characterize traffic that exhibits great dispersion,inability to classify traffic with multi-level features,and degradation due to limited training traffic *** address these problems,this paper proposes a traffic granularity-based cryptographic traffic classification method,called Granular Classifier(GC).In this paper,a novel Cardinality-based Constrained Fuzzy C-Means(CCFCM)clustering algorithm is proposed to address the problem caused by limited training traffic,considering the ratio of cardinality that must be linked between flows to achieve good traffic ***,an original representation format of traffic is presented based on granular computing,named Traffic Granules(TG),to accurately describe traffic structure by catching the dispersion of different traffic *** granule is a compact set of similar data with a refined boundary by excluding *** on TG,GC is constructed to perform traffic classification based on multi-level *** performance of the GC is evaluated based on real-world encrypted network traffic *** results show that the GC achieves outstanding performance for encrypted traffic classification with limited size of training traffic and keeps accurate classification in dynamic network conditions.
