This volume contains the papers selected for presentation at the 11th Int- national Conference on Rough Sets, Fuzzy Sets, data Mining, and Granular computing (RSFDGrC 2007), a part of the Joint Rough Set Symposium (JRS 2007) organized by Infobright Inc. and York University. JRS 2007 was held for the ?rst time during May 14–16, 2007 in MaRS Discovery District, Toronto, Canada. It consisted of two conferences: RSFDGrC 2007 and the Second Int- national Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology (RSKT 2007). The two conferences that constituted JRS 2007 investigated rough sets as an emerging methodology established more than 25 years ago by Zdzis law Pawlak. Roughsettheoryhasbecomeanintegralpartofdiversehybridresearchstreams. In keeping with this trend, JRS 2007 encompassed rough and fuzzy sets, kno- edgetechnologyanddiscovery, softandgranularcomputing, dataprocessingand mining, while maintaining an emphasis on foundations and applications. RSFDGrC 2007 followed in the footsteps of well-established international initiatives devoted to the dissemination of rough sets research, held so far in Canada, China, Japan, Poland, Sweden, and the USA. RSFDGrC was ?rst - ganized as the 7th International Workshop on Rough Sets, data Mining and Granular computing held in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1999. Its key feature was to stress the role of integrating intelligent information methods to solve real-world, large, complex problems concerned with uncertainty and fuzziness. RSFDGrC achieved the status of a bi-annual international conference, starting from 2003 in Chongqing, China.

Automated code completion, aiming at generating subsequent tokens from unfinished code, has significantly benefited from recent progress in pre-trained Large Language Models (LLMs). However, these models often suffer from coherence issues and hallucinations when dealing with complex code logic or extrapolating beyond their training data. Existing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques partially address these issues by retrieving relevant code with a separate encoding model where the retrieved snippet serves as contextual reference for code completion. However, their retrieval scope is subject to a singular perspective defined by the encoding model, which largely overlooks the complexity and diversity inherent in code semantics. To address this limitation, we propose ProCC, a code completion framework leveraging prompt engineering and the contextual multi-armed bandits algorithm to flexibly incorporate and adapt to multiple perspectives of code. ProCC first employs a prompt-based multi-retriever system which crafts prompt templates to elicit LLM knowledge to understand code semantics with multiple retrieval perspectives. Then, it adopts the adaptive retrieval selection algorithm to incorporate code similarity into the decision-making process to determine the most suitable retrieval perspective for the LLM to complete the code. Experimental results demonstrate that ProCC outperforms a widely-studied code completion technique RepoCoder by 7.92% on the public benchmark CCEval, 3.19% in HumanEval-Infilling, 2.80% on our collected open-source benchmark suite, and 4.48% on the private-domain benchmark suite collected from Kuaishou Technology in terms of Exact Match. ProCC also allows augmenting fine-tuned techniques in a plug-and-play manner, yielding an averaged 6.5% improvement over the fine-tuned model.

Mural image inpainting is far less explored compared to its natural image counterpart and remains largely unsolved. Most existing image-inpainting methods tend to take the target image as the only input and directly repair the damage to generate a visually plausible result. These methods obtain high performance in restoration or completion of some pre-defined objects, e.g., human face, fabric texture, and printed texts, etc., however, are not suitable for repairing murals with varying subjects and large damaged areas. Moreover, due to discrete colors in paints, mural inpainting may suffer from apparent color bias. To this end, in this paper, we propose a line drawing guided progressive mural inpainting method. It divides the inpainting process into two steps: structure reconstruction and color correction, implemented by a structure reconstruction network (SRN) and a color correction network (CCN), respectively. In structure reconstruction, SRN utilizes the line drawing as an assistant to achieve large-scale content authenticity and structural stability. In color correction, CCN operates a local color adjustment for missing pixels which reduces the negative effects of color bias and edge jumping. The proposed approach is evaluated against the current state-of-the-art image inpainting methods. Qualitative and quantitative results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method in mural image inpainting. The codes and data are available at https://***/qinnzou/mural-image-inpainting.

These two volumes consIstmg of Foundations and Applications provide the current status of theoretical and empirical developments in "computing with words". In philosophy, the twentieth century is said to be the century of language. This is mainly due to Wittgenstein who said: "The meaning of a word is its use in the language game". "The concept game is a concept with blurred edges". In the first phrase, "the language game" implies the everyday human activity with language, and in the latter, "game" simply implies an ordinary word. Thus, Wittgenstein precisely stated that a word is fuzzy in real life. Unfortunately this idea about a word was not accepted in the conventional science. We had to wait for Zadeh's fuzzy sets theory. Remembering Wittgenstein's statement, we should consider, on the one hand, the concept of "computing with words" from a philosophical point of view. It deeply relates to the everyday use of a word in which the meaning of a word is fuzzy in its nature.
